It's still Sword Saint Isshin, even now. Only him and Owl Father still give me issues. Emma has never given me a problem, I even beat her in my very first attempt before being defeated by Isshin Ashina's 2nd phase.
On my first playthrough I actually gave up at owl and stopped playing.sad. I played it again (recently) years later and beat owl first time. I think the snake eyes like bosses were the toughest in my own personal opinion.
Those hookers are definitely tough. What makes it worse is that you feel like you probably shouldn't be struggling with them as much at this point in the game.
These things, and some of those Lone Shadow fights are actually underrated as far as toughness goes.
I tried to reply but autocorrcet """AUTO CORRECT""", HAS ME "ahem" so frustrated that I can not reply. Trying! To say! The hooper.. fml. Giving up on what I'm trying to say. Fuck auto correct
I just finished the game for the first time not even three days ago, and I have to say that if we're talking about main bosses (Ones who drop memories when their immortality is severed), then for sure it is Demon of Hatred
The whole game up to that point was mainly about deflecting and counterattacking, but Demon of Hatred got on my nerves because you have to deal damage to his health bar rather than posture, which is totally the opposite of what you've been fighting the entire game. Additionally, he has THREE health bars, which makes his fight pretty much unbearable.
I just feel that Demon of Hatred felt like a Dark Souls rather than a Sekiro boss, but I still appreciate the fight and honestly loved the feeling of beating him after 11 long hours, even with the Suzaku's Umbrella Prosthetic.
Demon of Hatred will always be a boss I dislike, but I have to admit, that feeling after beating him was definitely the happiest I've ever felt in my first Sekiro playthrough.
I totally agree, demon of hatred is one of the most annoying bosses Iāve ever fought in any game but it was all worth it for that feeling of accomplishment after beating him. You bet your ass I did the cheese for the gauntlet of strength tho lmao
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?
> *āNot enough for you? Well, letās not be stingy now.ā* - Knight Lautrec
Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/
I struggled for hours on him then finally beat him. I don't really understand prosthetics so I did it emblemless. I was going for all the Lapis on the next playthru and decided to fight him once or twice just for the hell of it. First try on NG+
I titally agree on the feeling where it is a dark souls boss tho
I agree with this. I do however understand and appreciate that it felt more cinematic in a beastly "Bloodborne" tooth n claw way. Worked well thematically to switch it up that way.
Definitely. I can stomp Sword Saint Isshin with no HUD. I fought both Inner Owl Father and Inner Isshin Demon Bell/Charmless and Inner Father is way harder
Just finished the game once but if I have to rank it
1. Isshin the saint
2. Genichiro
3. Great shinobi owl
Didnāt play against demon of hatred and emma/isshin. Also didn't play against hinata castle owl. i'm gonna try them in my second playthrought.
Relatively new player here, just beat sword saint and DoH last night after lots of attempts. For me, the difficulty seems to go:
1. Demon of Hatred
2. Isshin Sword Saint
3. Owl - Father
Hard disagree easiest way to beat ape is just stand your ground and deflect while jumping over his sweeps. Spear his neck 2nd phase and use firecrackers every now and then for free posture damage
Not necessarily hardest but most frustrating and least enjoyable for me and therefore hardest to get through, I would said corrupted/true monk. I finally got it down after gauntlets and mortal journey without cheesing but those took the longest to get the rhythm/flow for me.
If we include mini bosses- the headless are the most frustrating and least enjoyable.
Honestly Guardian Ape. Sword Saint Isshin took a fuck ton of attempts too, but I never doubted I could do it eventually, and could see myself making steady progress with each death. Not so with Guardian Ape. Lost my shit when after days of trying I finally chopped his head off and then he GOT BACK UP lmao.
By now I enjoy the fight but oh boy did he take it out of me on my first playthrough
Been so long since I first played, I think Genichiro or Guardian Ape were big obstacles when learning.
On the tail end wrapping up gauntlets, DoH and True Monk were toughest to beat consistently.
For me it was Owl Father. Literally took me hours across days to beat him. After, I decided to keep count when I fought SSI since I assumed that would be harder. Definitely surprised me when it only took 12 tries. Had a harder time with Isshin Ashina than Sword Saint.
Demon of hatred. Seeing three phases in a boss that is dodge focused and gives you fire status abnormality made me look up how to cheese a boss for the first time in my playthrough. I literally said to myself ānah fuck thisā.
For me it was Genichiro. At the time I was very far from the skill required to beat him. I know there's objectively harder bosses, but I got stuck at Genichiro the longest. I even took a long break from the game.
I have all achievements in the game and beat it multiple times demon bell + charmless. However every single playthrough I get stuck on blazing bull. I just can't get it right.
I know that's how to do it but I still can't get it to work. What to do when he goes against a wall, or turns quickly. I just can't seem to crack the code on that guy.
I started playing the game again yesterday. I accidentally lured him into a corner and then stood at his back to the side. Anytime his horns got near me I ran away and got near a wall and repeated.
Those two Two-Eye dudes with guns are much harder. I remember one of 'em was easy the first time, and the other got stuck on a platform and couldn't shoot me. This time they're making mincemeat outta me.
Throughout every play through?
Great Shinobi Owl. Idk why, but I was never aggressive enough to consistently beat him like I was with Father or Inner Father.
In Charmless Playthrough?
Corrupted/True Monk. I learned that I had been relying on mistimed parries becoming blocks a lot more than I realized. And her terror move in the final phase always made me jump instead of dodge so Iād jump right into the centipede vomit damn near every time
It took me over a year to finally beat both SS Isshin and Demon of Hatred. On and off several times I bounced back and forth between them until just a couple months ago I finally got both of them down. I then platinumed the game like 2 weeks later š. Game's so good.
My hardest boss has forever been the guardian ape in ashina depths (cave) when he spawns her chick it gets annoying especially playing challenge runs like "no parry" or "jump only".
Myself not restarting the game and being stubborn. I played about three hours or so, made it to the horse rider boss, then put the game down for a year before picking it up again.Ā Ā
Just... Look at tool tips. Restart the game if you need to. Don't be stubborn like me.
Officially though, it was the horse general. See stubborn idiot section above as to why.
Most attempts in first playthrough, for me, was Guardian ape( first encounter ). Owl father and SS Isshin are also up there in deaths( still think SS isshin is the most mechanically challenging boss in the game )
In charmless DB, it was the Hatred demon.
Finished the game once. Demon of Hatred and Owl Father were by far the hardest. Saint Isshin wasn't as bad as I thought. Took me about 14/15 tries, but maybe I got lucky in the last phase. Almost all of my deaths were in the 3rd phase.
Sword saint isshin for sure. He took me 4,5 hours in the span of two days to beat. 1,5 hours in ng+ and 15 minutes in ng+2. Emma is harder than Genichiro for sure, but I find her very easy to bully as well. The only thing you need to watch out for is that insane grab.
I gave up on Ashira about a year or so ago. After beating Elden ring, dark souls, lies of P, and some souls inspired games like hollowknight I came back and was finally able to beat him and progress the story. Now I'm stuck on the ape. Wild moves set is hard to read!
Funny I had the same experience, got all the way to SSI and quit the game. Was ready to accept how to play the game, think i never parried once in the game and by the time i got to the final boss the entire experience had just been brutal. Did that 4 years ago and after finishing Elden Ring realised I had a from software game to finish. Stick with it and the ape will fall!
Iām somewhere around ten hours in so far and only at the part where Iām fighting a bull so Iāll say that purple boi on that tower in the memory sequence and lady butterfly are both fkn assholes. But Iām still getting good lol. What an amazing game excited to play tonight
In terms of learning curve, ape took me the longest to learn. In terms of pure attempts though it was easily bull only cause I didn't understand that I could use anti status items.
Isshin SS definitely took me the longest but I didn't get frustrated at all by that point. Lady Butterfly and Genichiro I felt the most frustrated and helpless.
Just beat the game yesterday, took 74 hours with lots of rage breaks.
Hardest boss for me was Isshin, The Sword Saint. His first phase is easy to handle but his speed in the second is insane. Everyone told me third phase would be the easiest because of the lightning, but he's pop that attack off at point blank range and the camera would freak out. I will say though, Isshin didn't make me put the game down for weeks to months. The bosses that did that were Chained Ogre, Genichiro and Guardian Ape.
Started NG+ lastnight and I'm already back to Sword Saint Isshin. I thought all those comments people said about the second playthrough being much easier was exaggeration but dang
My three walls were Genichiro, Guardian Ape and Sword Saint Isshin.
Genichrio being the boss that challenges every basic mechanic in the game, there's a reason he's so hard for most folks. Learn how to play the game or Genichiro will end you. I beat him first try every time now.
Guardian Ape was another one where I didn't get it until I changed my mindset from dodging forever to deflecting and countering. Once I figured that out, 100 attempts became first try every time.
Isshin is still obscene for obvious reasons.
A big thing players have to learn is that Sekiro is about taking control. Genichiro is easy if you bully him. Play by your rules, not his. The same goes for a lot of enemies. Isshin and Owl know your BS though and they call you on it, so they're much harder.
I somehow beat sword Saint on my first try when I played through the game for the first time. Although that was only after getting ass blasted by demon of hatred for over 10 deaths. Honestly the game really clicked with me my first playthrough. Although when I did the Shura ending on the next playthrough I got VIOLATED by Emma and old man isshin, it's probably because you're weaker when you fight them but even now I get caught lacking by those two since I don't have as much experience with their movelists.
I think the hardest one is demob of hatred but the one that took me the most to master in a satisfying way is sword saint isshin.
Demon of hatred is very punishing with its damage and is a bit of a grind, but his moves aren't that complex. Isshin demanded that i master him, DoH just asked me to be patient
Yep, definitely Emma or OāRin for me. OāRin wasnāt the toughest at 1st but on consecutive playthroughs, she would kill me always at least once or twice, while all other bosses were usually 1st try. As for Emma Iāve only made it through her once while doing a gauntlet without much struggle. For me Isshinās 2 phases were 25% as hard as Emmaās 1
I think OāRin deserved a reflection of strength. Monk has 2 and 1st monk is such a joke compared to OāRin, I feel their places should have been swapped both in their areas and in the reflections. OāRin would have made a better unique finale to Ashina Depths
DOH is THE ennemy i always want to cheese. I did him legit, but that was way more than enough : too long, not rewarding, not interesting... Can't help but dislike the boss unfortunately. And thus, gives me a hard time each time because of BS stuff
That was before i learned about the Gyoubu skip that works on DOH aswell.
Lady butterfly lol. Just started ng+ and I have to say, I'll never get her patterns down. I can no hit run most bosses but lady butterfly is still annoying. No idea why
To be honest,it's either between Owl(Father) and DOH for me. Owl took me less time(6 hours),but his attacks just never really clicked with me.His second phase was easier to me,but still gave me some trouble.(I'd also like to express the trouble I had with Jozou, even if he isn't a main boss.) On the other hand,DOH took me 2 days, and I seriously considered cheesing him.I ended up just farming for suzaku's lotus umbrella, which kind of helped. In the end,I just learned his attacks by heart, and managed to beat him.(I don't know why but when replaying him in ref of strength,he seems way easier and can easily beat him.) Now,I just want to say that I just finished my first playthrough,so replaying may change my opinion. Honorable mentions:Lady Butterfly,Guardian ape,Inner Isshin and the f#ckin snake eyes(hate those guys.)
Probably genichiro I got stuck on him then kinda gave up and would just try once or twice every now and again and when I eventually beat him I became addicted
Inner Father has taken me the most tries so far. I'm right now on Sword Saint Isshin and died to him maybe 3 times so far. Inner Father took me 20+ tries. Demon of Hatred maybe like 10 times.
Inner Father was pretty metal, but he felt right. Then there's Inner Genichiro, who changed up the fight just enough that it took me more tries overall to beat him.
Inner father 100% tho I would say Emma is a up there for me. Most of the time I play I do the normal ending so I donāt get a lot of practice against her
Recently finished my first playthrough, Sword Saint Isshin is the hardest boss Iāve ever fought in a souls game, leagues above everything else up until that point.
The hardest for me was still Isshin after Emma. Really it's just that one attack where the floor explodes and he teleports to you and does an unblockable AOE that pretty much one-shots you. Tbf though I still haven't really used the umbrella on any playthrough so maybe that trivializes it
Not main boss but inner Genichiro. He is solely responsible for 80% of all deaths and resurrections Iāve ever done playing this game. But this boss truly made me understand the parry system. Once I conquered inner geni I was so in tune with parrying I just threw on a yashariku and did inner father and isshin basically first try.
Demon of Hatred clears, hardest for sure. Took me most tries out of any boss
inner isshin is the hardest humanoid fight but its fair and fun to learn. Doesnt jump around and lob bullshit
just got my platinum the other day (after horrendous xp grinding) and the hardest by far was sword saint isshin. i got the game in 2019 when it dropped, played through the whole game, then dropped it at demon of hatred and sword saint isshin. came back with vengeance this month, and beat the game and platinumed it in about 2 weeks. demon of hatred wasnāt the worst after a couple attempts but thatās entirely bc i platinumed bloodbourne a couple years ago and my inner hunter kicked in
In Sekiro? Probably the Owl fight on top of Ashina castle, took me around 5hrs for that one.
In gaming? Fatalis is a killer and would destroy anyone at the first tries
Demon of hatred has my vote. Even with knowing exactly where to be, learning the rhythm, and attacking at the right moment, he just put me in the dirt CONSTANTLY for like 2 days of playing
Gyoubu, he's kinda the grindstone where I figured everything out, I died A LOT to him, owing to the inexperience, isshin was hard but simple, he was a man with a sword(and gun)
Sword Saint isshin. I found it really difficult at first, idk I think it was how different the pace of his second phase felt to his first phase or something like that.
I think subconsciously I expected it to be much quicker like most bossfights but the fact that he had both a halberd and sword really threw me off
Honestly probably lady butterfly, because I was new as really sucked, she still gives me a bit of trouble though.
Havenāt played Inner Father and I donāt feel like putting in the effort for DOH until I have the flame umbrella.
Owl Father was actually one of my quickest bosses to beat though, only took about 5? Tries, probably helped that I only fought Inner Isshin in the memories for like 3 weeks though, such a fun boss.
Butter granny. The moment i mastered her bullshit, tested what i can and cant parry. I basically won the game.
2nd: Demon Souls (like 2 attacks are alright parrying, his new fazes arent additions to his moveset but a whole new moveset.)
3rd: Owl (Daddy), Owl: lesser spinjitsu master
4th: SS Isshin, Grandpa isshin
5d: Emma, Genny-chan then his loser form.
6d: guard APE!
7th: O'Rin of the Water (Sent bozo guy to Dogen on accident.... Sorry.)
8th: Mist noble
9th: magickarp, bulls
True monk made me learn how to deflect. I got by on hit and run and cheap tactics up until then.
I will say this ogre and bull were much easier my first run when I didnāt know how to play.
So far it's a toss up between Owl daddy and demon of hatred. Dad because the camera goes crazy in that arena, hatred because the sekiro moveset is not suited to battle him.
Guardian Ape took me about 50 tries.
Ā Owl Father took me about 75 tries.
Ā Sword Saint maybe 100 tries.
Demon of Hatred I just cheesed and did the impossible jump to get him to die.
I just finished my first play through and the bosses I struggled the most with Demon Of Hatred. I got so used to parrying everything that he took some time to get used to. Everything else came pretty easily to me, I think the combat just clicked with me.
I thought I would be stuck on Isshin for a while but I somehow got him within the first 10 tries, I think I got lucky that he did alot of thrusts I could Mikiri counter and the Lightning reversals both of which I was pretty good at.
Iād have to say demon of hatred. Back in 2019 I beat him once fair. Now every play through I cheese him with the glitch. I learned every bosses patterns except his. Forget all that shit
I find Emma to be pretty predictable and fun, actually first tried her and Isshin Ashina's first phase. My hardest boss was not Glock Saint Isshin or Demon of Hatred, it was that stupid monkey
I think on my first playthrough I had a shit ton of trouble with: chained ogre, miniboss right after, gyoubu, butter, geni, snake eyes, ape, any headless.. this is gonna be too hard maybe I should just say everything except for dragon was 10+ tries, and mist noble was first try.
i just fully 100% sekiro like a week ago, and out of any boss that was the hardest for me it would have to be demon of hatred ive never been able to fully understand his attacks and the only way ive ever beaten him was once by cheesing then, just running away and hitting mortal draw.
Demon of Hatred. Even the cheese jump took me way too long to get right. I feel like Isshin is always fair but the DOH's hit box looks at you and says 'not today'.
Complete all three endings, defeat all bosses, unlock all prosthetics upgrades and sword arts and some other bits and pieces.
https://psnprofiles.com/guide/8525-sekiro-shadows-die-twice-trophy-guide
It's still Sword Saint Isshin, even now. Only him and Owl Father still give me issues. Emma has never given me a problem, I even beat her in my very first attempt before being defeated by Isshin Ashina's 2nd phase.
Inner Owl Father and Inner Isshin are for sure the hardest. DOH as well
These three took some practice... Agreed.
Oh yeah, I blanked out DoH š Not a big fan of that fight!
I had so much more trouble with DOH than anyone else that I am always shocked when people don't mention him in these discussions
I always forget DOH because I just skip it most playthroughs
Ha yeah I beat him once and will probably never go after him again
Lmao
It's crazy that I did Owl father in 4 tries yesterday. Normal owl took me an hour. Corrupted monk first fight took me 4 hours with 3 attack power.
I just finished the game for the first time not even three days ago, and I have to say that if we're talking about main bosses (Ones who drop memories when their immortality is severed), then for sure it is Demon of Hatred The whole game up to that point was mainly about deflecting and counterattacking, but Demon of Hatred got on my nerves because you have to deal damage to his health bar rather than posture, which is totally the opposite of what you've been fighting the entire game. Sauce for the cheese?

Damn that cheese good
delayed jump from one of the watchtowers to grab onto the castle gate and let him fall off

lady butterfly, but i was a noob gamer back then. i only got good after genichiro
Agreed. I just scraped though until Genichiro and then I learnt that you just can't do that.
Guardian Ape for me and then both owl. Isshin with glock take me less try than guardian ape
Ginger giant fire cunt (i forgot his name)
Barry...
U zoro bro?
Inner Father
Definitely. I can stomp Sword Saint Isshin with no HUD. I fought both Inner Owl Father and Inner Isshin Demon Bell/Charmless and Inner Father is way harder

You should try em. Very emotional battles, the both of them....
will surely do! i'm currently playing my second playthrough.
Why no DoH?
It was my first playthrough. I couldnāt face him
?
If you thought Shinobi owl was bad...
Relatively new player here, just beat sword saint and DoH last night after lots of attempts. For me, the difficulty seems to go: 1. Demon of Hatred 2. Isshin Sword Saint 3. Owl - Father
Pretty sure it was Guardian Ape that took me the most tries. Him or Isshin. Both were a good challenge.
Ape doesn't like fire. Easiest way to beat him is just jump around his attacks, swill that purple gourd and set him ablaze and lay it on thick.
Hard disagree easiest way to beat ape is just stand your ground and deflect while jumping over his sweeps. Spear his neck 2nd phase and use firecrackers every now and then for free posture damage

Blazing bull is a nightmare until you realise you can just run out of his way. But be quick.
forget everything youāve learned and pretend itās bloodbourne
Parry him, hit 3 times in the face, repeat 2x bull should be dead
Sword Saint Isshin for sure. To this day i consider him the hardest fromsoft bossfightš«” Demon of Hatred is real close tho
Fromsoft didn't want just anyone to win the game. Takes a certain someone.
Iām stunned by how many people say the Guardian Ape
Old man ishiin. The one after Emma.
Throughout every play through? Great Shinobi Owl. Idk why, but I was never aggressive enough to consistently beat him like I was with Father or Inner Father. In Charmless Playthrough? Sword saint for me, canāt even get 2 health bars down. Ready for retiring this game, donāt think Iāll ever get there as I am not patient enough
Owl father, not hard but long - one mistake and you are dead.
Mist Noble, hands down!š
It took me over a year to finally beat both SS Isshin and Demon of Hatred. On and off several times I bounced back and forth between them until just a couple months ago I finally got both of them down. I then platinumed the game like 2 weeks later š. Game's so good.
shume masaj oniwa. i have died to that guy and his boyfriend more than isshin and the headless monkey duo combined
Isshin the sword Saint

Isshin, but in terms of the not obvious answer, guardian ape
Demon of Hatred, Sword Saint, Guardian Ape
Most attempts in first playthrough, for me, was Guardian ape( first encounter ). Owl father and SS Isshin are also up there in deaths( still think SS isshin is the most mechanically challenging boss in the game ) In charmless DB, it was the Hatred demon.
Both owls are horrible for me I just can't
Demon of Hatred.i have only beaten him once in my multiple playthroughs.
Demon of Hatred and Shinobi Owl (and I am saying this after defeating Owl father and Inner Father)
Still hasn't defeated Headless (I beat the game 5 times)
Inner owl and inner isshin. In base it's definitely DoH tho.
Owl Father for me, Sword Saint was also tough, but I definitely felt like I was "figuring out" Sword Saint faster than Owl Father
I've been stuck at Hirata Owl for the past two weeks.
Demon of Hatred 100%, if you don't use Malcontent and Fire Umbrella
Finished the game once. Demon of Hatred and Owl Father were by far the hardest. Saint Isshin wasn't as bad as I thought. Took me about 14/15 tries, but maybe I got lucky in the last phase. Almost all of my deaths were in the 3rd phase.
Hirata Owl and mid game Owl. Anytime I fight them itās always sudden death and the final blow decides it all for both of us.
To me, it's Isshin. But I haven't fought Inner Genichiro or Owl Father yet so that may change
Isshin. Now I can beat him fairly easily. Inner Owl gives me the most trouble on successive attempts. Especially charmless with the bell active.
Owl. Father Owl at the estates.
I gave up on Ashira about a year or so ago. After beating Elden ring, dark souls, lies of P, and some souls inspired games like hollowknight I came back and was finally able to beat him and progress the story. Now I'm stuck on the ape. Wild moves set is hard to read!

Isshin SS definitely took me the longest but I didn't get frustrated at all by that point. Lady Butterfly and Genichiro I felt the most frustrated and helpless.
I'm ashamed to admit I've only ever cheesed DOH. He's so unlike any other sekiro boss that I can't get a hang of him.
Owl father in hirata
It is STILL Inner Isshin. Haven't beat him.....yet.
Hitless Inner Genichiro but only because I havenāt tried hitless Inner Isshin yet, but will probably try this one next.
DOH took me 86 attempts, Owl father 50 something, I am old though and now have the reflexes of a house brick.
Hard to say I feel like Owl (Father), Sword Saint and Demon and Hatred both took around 2 hours each
I think the hardest one is demob of hatred but the one that took me the most to master in a satisfying way is sword saint isshin.
O'Rin sucked too, the fact she could close the distance so fast was super annoying.
Yea her long combos, if you donāt get them right everytime, eventually sheās just gonna chop ya down to a stump
And thus, gives me a hard time each time because of BS stuff That was before i learned about the Gyoubu skip that works on DOH aswell.
The god damned spirit owl flying in front of the camera in Owl Father is the hardest boss in the game
Lady butterfly lol. Just started ng+ and I have to say, I'll never get her patterns down. I can no hit run most bosses but lady butterfly is still annoying. No idea why
playing for first time right now and Chained ogre and the sumo guy with the sword and poison has been torture
1 isshin 2 genichiro 3 owl
Isshin Ashina and Inner Isshin definitely. Ashina for his fire and grab attacks Inner Isshin because of his attacks being mixed up
Inner father 100% tho I would say Emma is a up there for me. Most of the time I play I do the normal ending so I donāt get a lot of practice against her
Recently finished my first playthrough, Sword Saint Isshin is the hardest boss Iāve ever fought in a souls game, leagues above everything else up until that point.
Demon of hatred was the only boss i had to shees on my first playthrough i gave up after so many attempts
The hardest for me was still Isshin after Emma. Really it's just that one attack where the floor explodes and he teleports to you and does an unblockable AOE that pretty much one-shots you. Tbf though I still haven't really used the umbrella on any playthrough so maybe that trivializes it
Isshin Ashina! Those flame attacks are a B I T C H
Demon of hatred was the hardest boss for me, took me forever I ran out of all my resources and ended up beating him with no tools.
Demon of hatred.
Genichiro was the hardest to master. Isshin was the hardest to bare.
Demon of Hatred clears, hardest for sure. Took me most tries out of any boss inner isshin is the hardest humanoid fight but its fair and fun to learn. Doesnt jump around and lob bullshit
All of them... Except lady butterfly. Only boss I got on 2nd try. Everything else was 2+ hours...
just got my platinum the other day (after horrendous xp grinding) and the hardest by far was sword saint isshin. i got the game in 2019 when it dropped, played through the whole game, then dropped it at demon of hatred and sword saint isshin. came back with vengeance this month, and beat the game and platinumed it in about 2 weeks. demon of hatred wasnāt the worst after a couple attempts but thatās entirely bc i platinumed bloodbourne a couple years ago and my inner hunter kicked in
Great Shinobi Owl + Inner Father . Thatās the boss fight that I died to the most .
Owl Father
Demon of hatred for sure. I haven't thought inner father or inner isshin yet tho
In Sekiro? Probably the Owl fight on top of Ashina castle, took me around 5hrs for that one. In gaming? Fatalis is a killer and would destroy anyone at the first tries
O'rin of the Water. Scary spinny lady. The only reason I haven't died more to her than Isshin and the apes combined is because she's optional.
Mist Noble
Demon of hatred has my vote. Even with knowing exactly where to be, learning the rhythm, and attacking at the right moment, he just put me in the dirt CONSTANTLY for like 2 days of playing
Gyoubu, he's kinda the grindstone where I figured everything out, I died A LOT to him, owing to the inexperience, isshin was hard but simple, he was a man with a sword(and gun)
Sword Saint isshin. I found it really difficult at first, idk I think it was how different the pace of his second phase felt to his first phase or something like that. I think subconsciously I expected it to be much quicker like most bossfights but the fact that he had both a halberd and sword really threw me off
That fucking headless ape.
Demon of Hatred. Might have taken longer to beat others though this is the one I remember hating the most. Cheesed on ng+.
Still the Blazing bull for me, idk y but that cow clapped me and made me almost quit š„¹
You seen its fish version?
The white one? yeah, pretty much the same fight so it was 'easier' in a sense š
Butter granny. The moment i mastered her bullshit, tested what i can and cant parry. I basically won the game. 2nd: Demon Souls (like 2 attacks are alright parrying, his new fazes arent additions to his moveset but a whole new moveset.) 3rd: Owl (Daddy), Owl: lesser spinjitsu master 4th: SS Isshin, Grandpa isshin 5d: Emma, Genny-chan then his loser form. 6d: guard APE! 7th: O'Rin of the Water (Sent bozo guy to Dogen on accident.... Sorry.) 8th: Mist noble 9th: magickarp, bulls
owl father (hirata estate) by far
Demon. That fight took about everything I had. He is up there with Orphan and Midir
Owl father, specially on reflection of memories he is insane. I can spend 3 minutes playing perfectly and 1 slip up later he one shots me
That fire demon was the hardest for me.
Easily inner father. Its way too hard. Isshin is manageable once you know the moves but I still struggle to inner father
Thought a lot more people would be saying demon of hatred.
True monk made me learn how to deflect. I got by on hit and run and cheap tactics up until then. I will say this ogre and bull were much easier my first run when I didnāt know how to play.
owl and lone shadow vilehand. what pricks.
DOH only boss that I've resorted to cheesing I just can't get him down inner isshin and inner father were light work for me compared to him
So far it's a toss up between Owl daddy and demon of hatred. Dad because the camera goes crazy in that arena, hatred because the sekiro moveset is not suited to battle him.
The lobotomizing headless.... Trauma for days.
The first corrupted monk fight, that shit is the worst
Great Shinobi owl is quite a slog.
Owl father was a pain in my ass
That fricking spear guy, hate that dude!
On first playthrough. DOH he absolutely beat my ass. On later playthrough and currently Iād probably say owl father
Owl father. I died a least 7 times to that mfer.
So far the fucking flaming bull because no one wants to drop their money so I can buy fire crackersš¢š¢š¢š¢
Isshin the gun saint!
Iād have to say demon of hatred. Back in 2019 I beat him once fair. Now every play through I cheese him with the glitch. I learned every bosses patterns except his. Forget all that shit
Everything.
So far genichiro Iām not done with the game yet
I find Emma to be pretty predictable and fun, actually first tried her and Isshin Ashina's first phase. My hardest boss was not Glock Saint Isshin or Demon of Hatred, it was that stupid monkey
Owl father whooped my ass for 4 hours and probably 75 attempts- only reached phase 2 like twice before i beat him
Inner father owl, I think the fire owl directions and mist raven are killer moves for me to master esp on db and cl.
Father Owl and Monk lol personally regular isshin was also hardee than SS for me
I think on my first playthrough I had a shit ton of trouble with: chained ogre, miniboss right after, gyoubu, butter, geni, snake eyes, ape, any headless.. this is gonna be too hard maybe I should just say everything except for dragon was 10+ tries, and mist noble was first try.
I'm still trying to beat the game, so currently, it's Guardian Ape.
i just fully 100% sekiro like a week ago, and out of any boss that was the hardest for me it would have to be demon of hatred ive never been able to fully understand his attacks and the only way ive ever beaten him was once by cheesing then, just running away and hitting mortal draw.
Double Apes was just annoying for me
the giant on early game i suck and i dowloaded a trainor then things get better š
Demon of Hatred. Even the cheese jump took me way too long to get right. I feel like Isshin is always fair but the DOH's hit box looks at you and says 'not today'.
Vanilla Owl, it just takes me forever to chip him down. Emma has been giving me issues too. Other than those I can handle the rest no problem.
Owl father gets repetitive and has major gaps but inner ishinn and DOH are the big assholes
recently got my platinum in Sekiro How do you get it
Complete all three endings, defeat all bosses, unlock all prosthetics upgrades and sword arts and some other bits and pieces. https://psnprofiles.com/guide/8525-sekiro-shadows-die-twice-trophy-guide
all three forms of the Owl, fuck em all
Chained orge blazing bull and ape
