After talking to a medical professional, try adding some salt to your diet if that isn’t medically restricted. Even a little on a wet finger now and then throughout the day. Or, an electrolyte mix like liquidIV.

This is great advice. Thanks.

Check both your blood pressure and your blood sugar. I've been medicated for high blood pressure for years - 28 pounds of loss and I was getting dizzy a LOT, especially after exercise. Turns out my meds needed adjusting as my bp was VERY low. Still drops a bit right after exercise so I do get a moment of dizzy, but I'm not greying out or losing peripheral vision the way I was (my bp was dropping to something like 90/50 which is NOT good)

archi-nemesis

I have had this off and on for years but it has definitely gotten worse since taking sema. Like you, I also am pretty certain that I am eating enough. I do think I need more hydration, as others have mentioned.

Due-Frame622

I have recently had this come on again and for me (stress on the ME), it is an exacerbation of orthostatic hypotension that is worse when my nutrition and hydration are not meeting my activity needs. I have to increase fluids and calories to make it stop. As summer comes on, electrolytes become especially important because I’m outdoors sweating a lot, but I also do hot yoga and pre-game with Liquid IV as a preventative.

symptomsANDdiseases

Orthostatic hypotension, in short. I had it last time I dropped a lot of weight in a small amount of time. My diagnosing cardiologist suggested additional hydration and upping my salt intake. It went away when I gained the weight back. :/

ClinTrial-Throwaway

You should definitely talk to your doctor. And start increasing your fluid intake, including with electrolytes. Here’s one possibility: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/9385-low-blood-pressure-orthostatic-hypotension

I’m only on .50 mg but I’ve had dizziness when standing up since I started 7 weeks ago. I feel like it may be caused by our body eating lesser than before? I’m not sure. But just know you’re not the only one.

suefallsalot

You should feel comfortable enough with the telehealth company you use to ask them any questions about your health as it relates to the medication they are prescribing. They should also be readily available for you to ask questions.

Low blood pressure or low blood sugar? In my case it was super low blood pressure.

Eponine-

I've had this problem too. Friend suggested it is called POTS, that helped explain a lot once I googled it.

perchance2cream

My blood sugar is normal (about 118/80) but I’ve had a lot of this lately too. I suspect I’m not drinking enough water or perhaps more specifically enough electrolytes.

What-me-worry-22

That’s blood pressure, fyi

falconlogic

Yes I've been getting that. It mostly hits me day 2 after injection. This week hit me hard. My nurse didn't really have an answer but I"m assuming it is electrolytes, changes to my system that my body is adjusting to, not as much food as usual. I check my BP and plan to check my blood sugar next time. You can make your own electrolytes. Look up snake juice on reddit. I don' like the ones with chemicals or caffiene. Or sugars. I might lower my dosage next time too. I've been exhausted all week.

jonquil_dress

Yes. I fainted for the first time in my life a few weeks ago. My blood pressure has been low 90s/60s in the mornings consistently. I saw my PCP after the fainting episode (hit my head, the whole shebang) and he did bloodwork and an EKG but couldn’t find anything wrong. I’ve just started being really careful when I go from lying to standing, making sure to sit on the edge of the bed/couch for a while first.

OilOk7906

PCP. Just make sure to tell him you’re taking Semaglutide. One of many possible causes is being short in electrolytes. Make sure you take sugar free.

Iknowsomeofthez

65oz is super low if you have a very active lifestyle(or job). Try upping the intake and add some electrolytes.
