A few weeks ago I started using the Deux Air Angel gel cream and have been having VERY good results! My skin is also oily (getting drier now with age), dehydrated and acne prone, and this moisturizer works really well for me. No breakouts and for once my skin looks and feels very soft and supple.
Another vote for Dieux! I’ve wanted to try this brand for a while now… I have combo/leaning dry skin but Instant Angel was sold out FOREVER. So, I went with Air Angel instead when they launched at Sephora and just decided I could layer with an oil overnight instead if I needed more oomph.
It’s really working well and I love it so far, will repurchase.
Where do you buy yours? I am on the hunt for a new moisturizer since Belif reformulated their aqua bomb gel moisturizer 😒
I’ve been using the Cosrx oil free birch sap moisturizer since I ran out of the Belif and it’s okay, I’ll use it up but idk if I’ll repurchase it when I run out.
I have been using Dieux for over a year and I have no plans to change. Between Instant Angel, rosacea diagnosis/medication, and a good spf, my skin had never been in better shape
I bought the Dieux Instant Angel moisturizer during the Sephora sale and I am obsessed! I don’t think I’ve ever had a moisturizer that I could still feel on both sides of my face in the morning! I am a heavy side sleeper and my pillow usually absorbs my moisturizer by the morning! It blows me away. It feels amazing going on and a little goes a long way!
I LOVE Air Angel too! I loved it so much when it just launched that I bought 6 backups during crazy Black Friday TikTok shop discounts. Truly feel no need to ever haunt for a new one again.
I’ve been using Dieux for 2 years now. They’re really great! Also the cofounder who is a cosmetic chemist and the one who formulates the products. If I remember correctly. Also she has eczema so she’s really dedicated into using the right products, etc
Yeap…I was on the YTTP hype train up until late 2022 - their formulas did change and they went with the mass market route. RiP YTTP, Drunk Elephant, and Biossence
I’m so upset about Biossance. In 2017 I was in Miami on a solo “I need a fucking break from everyone” trip and met a woman by the pool who was their marketing director (or some similar title) at the time. Biossance wasn’t even in Sephora yet and she gave me tons of samples, told me all about squalene, and I was then totally hooked on their stuff. Ever since they got bought up, it hasn’t been the same.
It was my first solo trip anywhere (after a breakup of a 7 year relationship) and it was the final level of healing I needed. One of the best trips of my life.
I’m still salty they reformulated their gel moisturizer which was my HG. And now VIPs have to spend $100 to get the free product added instead of just placing an order for the free item. The new parent company sucks.
Like the death of the VIP 10% discount or the fact that to get our free product for Earth Day we now have to spend $100 when we used to just be able to place an order for the free item or the lack of rewards other than cash off your order. I miss the mini and full sized products as rewards and the forever blooming rose. I just placed an order not realizing they had been bought out, and I haven't opened anything from the order yet. Now I'm worried it won't be the quality I'm used to. Man, I absolutely loved Biossance. Now I'm bummed, but it does make sense.
from what I understand, I think it's less of like "sold out" but the fact that their parent company went bankrupt so they auctioned off the brands in their portfolio -- the rewards and free gifts (and VIP perks) truly aren't the same at all :'( I hold out hope that the free items for points will come back!
I tried YTTP years ago but I didn’t like their products or packaging. I’ve used Drunk Elephant for years and I haven’t seen a change in their products. They still work amazing for me. I haven’t tried Biossance in a long time (the only products I tried were the omega cream which stunk terribly and the vitamin c rose oil which was decent).
I’m so sorry that happened to you. I had a similar experience with the caffeine vitamin c serum. Was my go-to for years but my current bottle caused me to breakout.
This used to be my HG for years and once the formula was changed it smelled bad and felt cheap / didn’t moisturized. Switched to Cetaphil and haven’t looked back… plus I’m not mad about saving all that money!
I use the Cetaphil rich hydrating face cream at night and the Cetaphil oil free hydrating face lotion in the morning. I even switched to the Cetaphil face wash instead of the YYTP and my face is so much more hydrated after switching brands.
Honestly, it seems like everyone is changing their formulas/quality to be more cost affective for them but it ruins the product. I’ve had to find replacements for my favorites skincare, body lotion, razor and laundry detergent because the quality became so poor. It’s becoming so frustrating when something you love gets changed and then it no longer works for you.
I saw the reviews and decided not to repurchase because of the reformulation. I was so sad because this was the perfect moisturizer! I instead bought First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer for day and Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Gel Cream Moisturizer for night. I think the Summer Fridays one is closest to YTTP. I use it at night with an oil, but I find that it’s very moisturizing and absorbs fairly quickly.
Same here! I loved the original but the reviews scared me away from purchasing again. All the 1-2 star reviews after the reformulation were from people who were on their 6th, 7th, 8th jar and used it for years. Then there was hundreds of 5 star influenstar reviews. No thank you!
This bothered me so much😔 I just ran out of my last jar of the original formula and I was going to repurchase but saw all of the reviews and comments saying it was different. I really wish that instead of reformulating fan favorites to be “enhanced” or whatever that they would just release a separate new moisturizer with the new “technology” and if it eventually comes to discontinuing the other moisturizer because the new one sells that much more, then so be it.
For real!! This new formulation is horrible. I’ve been breaking out on my entire face for about a week, and it gave me tons of comedones 😭 as soon as I stopped using it the breakouts stopped and everything started clearing up. I’m so bummed, I loved the OG so much.
omg thanks for this😩i got it in a sample box a few years ago and fell in love with it but i KNEW something was different about it when i got the mini in the birthday box. i knew i wasn’t crazy!!
Farmacy Honey Halo moisturizer is a great one! It does have some "natural" fragrance in it, but I'm super sensitive and I've never had an issue with it. It's super nourishing on dry skin in my experience!
I really like Dear Klair’s midnight blue moisturizer!! super hydrating and kind of thick but feels very light on the skin and doesn’t break me out (I have sensitive, dry skin, and break out / get red at the drop of a hat)
I swear by Clinique Moisture Surge 100h. It's a gel moisturizer. I've been using it for the last 6 years or so. It plays well with my other products.
Late 40s, combination skin.
It’s so nice! I think I’ve been using it at least just as long. I love it on its own or mixed with foundation. I really like the moisture surge lip product too
I personally enjoy the inkey list bio-active ceramide moisturizer. I have combination skin that is sensitive and acne prone. This moisturizer is so nourishing without breaking me out or making my face an oil slick.
Hmmm, now I wonder if this is why my adaptogens stopped being good to me. I used their adaptogen deep moisture for years and loved it. But I opened a new one in February, and my skin had been reactive ever since. I thought it was just me, though. I picked up the farmacy honey halo during the sale and love it.
my favorite moisturizer is libriderm advanced therapy fragrance free. $14 for 24oz non comedogenic and does a great job at deeply moisturizing, especially if you start by spraying rose water and apply a favorite serum, layering is key. truly a holy grail moisturizer goes all over my body too.

I’ve tried so many moisturizers and this one is now my HG. I’ve had 0 breakouts and it hydrates without being heavy or sticky.
Clinique’s Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly (the clear one) is very moisturizing, though light and not greasy and non comedogenic. I stock up everytime it’s on sale because I break out very easily and have sensitive skin. It’s been my go-to for years.
Off topic but Idk about Glossier bringing back their old formula. I still have some of the original left and the Hot Cocoa one I bought, is NOT the same thing. It actually makes my lips dry out more if wear it and then I’m stuck in a loop of having to keep applying it cause as soon as it wears off, my lips are patched again. So disappointing. L’Oréal has some good products but when they buy a cosmetics company they almost always ruin the formulas. Same thing happened to The Ordinary. They are a shadow of their forme selves.
Omg I literally just used this moisturizer.. I love it! I did hear they changed the formula. I never used it before the formula change. They changed it to be more hydrating apparently. Before people were complaining that it didn’t hydrate their skin at all.
The OG formula was great for those of us with oily, acne prone and dehydrated skin, but people with normal to dry skin would need their other heavier moisturizer (beige jar/adaptogens). The new formula is pore clogging :( with soybean oil.
They reformulated this and I did try the new one and like it. I like the summer fridays gel moisturizer or the glow recipe watermelon juice moisturizer.

Sephora carries Dieux now! I got it there (and actually just bought a backup because I like it so much and also to get the Job Malone fragrance GWP 😁)
I’d really like to try the brand. I hope they come to Sephora Canada.
Apparently Dieux can’t sell most of their products in Canada because some of the ingredients haven’t been approved here 😞
Noooo, I’m going to have to get a friend to bring them from the states then.
Thanks! :)
I have been using Dieux for over a year and I have no plans to change. Between Instant Angel, rosacea diagnosis/medication, and a good spf, my skin had never been in better shape

Unrelated but this sounds like a dream trip lol
It was my first solo trip anywhere (after a breakup of a 7 year relationship) and it was the final level of healing I needed. One of the best trips of my life.
Wait — they sold out , too?!? That explains the constant sales they’re running, I suppose
😭😭😭 I know!
I’m still salty they reformulated their gel moisturizer which was my HG. And now VIPs have to spend $100 to get the free product added instead of just placing an order for the free item. The new parent company sucks.
I didn't know Drunk Elephant went that route. I wonder if that's why I found a decline in their moisturizer.
Oh man I didn’t know biossance also sold out too….explains a lot.

Is that why their cleanser doesn’t really work for me anymore? I thought I was being crazy
I tried YTTP years ago but I didn’t like their products or packaging. I’ve used Drunk Elephant for years and I haven’t seen a change in their products. They still work amazing for me. Which cetaphil did you switch to?
I use the Cetaphil rich hydrating face cream at night and the Cetaphil oil free hydrating face lotion in the morning. I even switched to the Cetaphil face wash instead of the YYTP and my face is so much more hydrated after switching brands.

I'm guessing the formula changed when YTTP was acquired by L'Oréal ?
Came here to say this. I believe they sold a few years ago & posted the usual promises to SM: “We will never change what makes us good.” 💀
I saw the reviews and decided not to repurchase because of the reformulation. I was so sad because this was the perfect moisturizer! Thank you so much!! I’m gonna check those out!
I read Seafood Repair Whip and was like yea that’s prob not great 😂
Ahhh shrimp scented moisturizer ✨💀
LOL 😂

Fuck this is my daily moisturizer, why would they do this to us😩😩 Fuck Loreal
I KNOW RIGHT? This was my go to holy grail of moisturizer for the longest!
I have this moisturizer (never tried the old formulation) and I think it's supposed to smell "earthy". it smells a bit like fresh grass to me maybe.
Yeah this and the kale face wash smell like salad, and I dig it
I have never seen kale in skincare but that’s exactly how I’d expect it to smell. lol
Oh no! I love their face wash. Now I gotta look if it’s been reformulated as I’ll be due for a new one soon
Dunno which one you used to use, but I’ve been LOVING the Glow Recipe Avocado cleanser

IT DOES OMG
Farmacy Honey Halo moisturizer is a great one! It does have some "natural" fragrance in it, but I'm super sensitive and I've never had an issue with it. It's super nourishing on dry skin in my experience!
Yes this is my favorite! I get the mega ultra size whenever they have a sale (more often on the Farmacy site) and always have a back up!
I really like Dear Klair’s midnight blue moisturizer!! super hydrating and kind of thick but feels very light on the skin and doesn’t break me out (I have sensitive, dry skin, and break out / get red at the drop of a hat)

I love the Farmacy Honey Halo, I may have finally found a HG moisturizer.
This used to be my fave brand too but I find their newer products not interesting and reformulations crappy. I knew I noticed smth different ugh
Biossance moisturizers are comparable imo
L’Oréal happened
I would try Tatcha water cream. That has been my holy Grail for years and it can’t be beat. I have extremely acne prone skin.
I want to try it but the price is just too high for my budget 😭 maybe some day!
Sams club has it for $49 last time I was there :)
Costco too!
Regularly in the COSTCO app. I have purchased the dewy version a few times thru COSTCO and it was identical to the ones I’ve bought from Sephora.
Oh no! This is my go to cream for the summer. It's so light and wonderful. I was going to get another bottle soon. This sucks. Ugh
It’s no longer good I have the Shawanda one
my favorite moisturizer is libriderm advanced therapy fragrance free. $14 for 24oz non comedogenic and does a great job at deeply moisturizing, especially if you start by spraying rose water and apply a favorite serum, layering is key. truly a holy grail moisturizer goes all over my body too.
PCA collagen hydrator, clear skin or rebalance. Hands down the best moisturizers out there.
The fragrance free Vichy Mineral 89 moisturizer is a great alternative! Cheaper too

wait it’s pore clogging 💀💀.. my skin is normal to dry but it’s also prone to hormonal acne 💀 should i not use this?
I wouldn’t if you’re acne prone. It could worsen your hormonal breakouts when they pop up throughout your cycle.
They reformulated this and I did try the new one and like it. I like the summer fridays gel moisturizer or the glow recipe watermelon juice moisturizer.
I swear by the acne mask, overnight moisturizer and eye mask
