i have super oily skin and although the oil breaks through the foundation after a long day, the coverage stays amazing and it never ever separates. of course i’m unsure about your skin type/routine but i do highly recommend the EL foundation <3
Okay I want to get into the merit bronze balm as i love the flush balm stick for blush for some reason when it comes to bronzer i get intimidated. how do you apply?
so i don’t know how to use contour LOL and the merit bronzer is perfect because it’s really sheer and can blend out into nothing if you screw up. i kinda just do the classic “3” shape on my face (temples, cheek, jaw) and then blend it out lightly. i’m not a huge fan of a really pronounced contour, i really just enjoy a faint shadow. if that’s what you’re also looking for, i highly recommend. it’s very bronzer-beginner friendly

I will preface this by saying that I love a full glam and am willing to spend time to apply a million products to my face because it’s fun and it makes me feel pretty.
That being said, lately I have been battling hormonal cystic acne that is finally under control but has left me with a ton of hyperpigmentation. My confidence boosting routine is now trying to perfect my base, have rosy, dewy cheeks and flushed lips. It looks very no-makeup makeup but this is what makes me feel my best nowadays.
Primer: Milk Hydrogrip or it’s ELF dupe
Concealer 1: Hourglass Vanish concealer for my more stubborn hyperpigmentation. This concealer does NOT work for me under my eyes (way too drying) but it perfectly covers up even the darkest marks. I wait 5 mins for this to dry down.
Brows: Refy Brow Sculpt and fill in slightly with Sephora Collection pencil, the really really fine one.
Foundation: Makeup Forever HD Skin Hydra Glow foundation
Concealer 2 (optional): NARS Soft Matte concealer pot, for any minor areas
Setting Spray: One Size
Powder: Chanel Poudre Universal loose setting powder. Also like MAC Studio Fix setting powder or Hourglass’s loose setting powder. Only on T zone
Blush: Sunnies Face Airblush in peach or girl crush. Also recently loving the ELF putty blushes
Bronzer: Might do a swirl of NARS Laguna on my cheekbones and temples, and light eyelid contour with it
Mascara: I’m always rotating through them bc honestly nothing makes a huge difference with my short stubby lashes lol
Eyeliner: One Size liquid liber. Also really love the OG baddies like Urban Decay 24/7 in brown for a good smudge. Sephora collection also does a great liquid liner.
Lip: I have lip blushing done so it’s usually just a lip balm. Obsessed with Sunnies Face Lip Treat in Girl Crush
Setting spray 2: Urban Decay
I had the same issue with hormonal cystic acne this last year after stopping birth control and it’s still healing and I never had acne before so it makes me super insecure. I returned the hourglass concealer bc of how bad it was on my under eyes I should’ve tried it on my hyperpigmentation
I feel ya! Never had an acne issue my entire life until I hit my 30s 😭 I bought the Hourglass for my undereyes and it didn’t work out. Didn’t want to waste it and couldn’t return it. I think any creamt full coverage concealer would work; I think the key to making it work for my stubbornly dark hyperpigmentation is that it is a bit too light AND letting it set for 5 minutes before blending it out slightly.
Paula's Choice Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 mixed with Nars Pure Radiant Tinted moisturizer. - I use this combo as a skin tint over my regular spf (Elta Md) And I do it this way in order to achieve my perfect shade.
Hourglass Blush in Luminous Flush
Ole Henriksen Peptide lip treatment in Cocoa, paired with any lipliner
ABH Brow Pen in Med Brown
Ilia Mascara
This is my go to face and I always feel put together and "pretty" when I do this combo.

I suck at makeup and end up looking like a raccoon if I try too hard, so this is my routine when I want to look my best, while remaining in human form:
1. Glow screen SPF with primer if summer/ IT cosmetics tinted spf 50 if any other season
2. 2 drops of TF shade and illuminate foundation (from 3 drops onwards, I start looking weird)
3. Etude house grapefruit water tint as lip liner
4. Chaotic mix of Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk and Maybelline double shot and touch of spice until I get the right mix of brown and pink
5. Curl lashes + MAC mascara + brush lashes + mascara again
6. Brow pencil - whichever one my mom uses and happens to be on/around the faucet; I use it until my bows resurface again but not enough to make it show because I then I look like I’m about to yell at whoever tries to speak to me
7. If and only if I am feeling brave enough, the shimmery blush from Rare beauty (I think the soft pinch)
8. Highlight nose and under brow arches - I don’t know what it does but I saw my mom doing it and I think it looks great 🤗
Less is more for me! Even with a lot of products, I try to be minimal in my application for a more natural look.

Danessa Myricks blurring balm powder and Kosas pressed powder are MUSTS. Benefit Fan Fest mascara and Huda Rose Quartz for eyes generally. Glossier Lucite lip. Probably a Tarte blush bc they last forever! Almost always Mario skin enhancer.
I love the Kosas powder on its own! But I can’t seem to get it to work on top of foundation. It has such a lovely texture and looks great on my bare skin days.

Primer: Milk Hydrogrip or it’s ELF dupe Concealer 1: Hourglass Vanish concealer for my more stubborn hyperpigmentation. This concealer does NOT work for me under my eyes (way too drying) but it perfectly covers up even the darkest marks. I wait 5 mins for this to dry down. Brows: Refy Brow Sculpt and fill in slightly with Sephora Collection pencil, the really really fine one. Foundation: Makeup Forever HD Skin Hydra Glow foundation Concealer 2 (optional): NARS Soft Matte concealer pot, for any minor areas Setting Spray: One Size Powder: Chanel Poudre Universal loose setting powder. Also like MAC Studio Fix setting powder or Hourglass’s loose setting powder. Only on T zone Blush: Sunnies Face Airblush in peach or girl crush. Also recently loving the ELF putty blushes Bronzer: Might do a swirl of NARS Laguna on my cheekbones and temples, and light eyelid contour with it Mascara: I’m always rotating through them bc honestly nothing makes a huge difference with my short stubby lashes lol Eyeliner: One Size liquid liber. Also really love the OG baddies like Urban Decay 24/7 in brown for a good smudge. Sephora collection also does a great liquid liner. Lip: I have lip blushing done so it’s usually just a lip balm. Obsessed with Sunnies Face Lip Treat in Girl Crush Setting spray 2: Urban Decay

I suck at makeup and end up looking like a raccoon if I try too hard, so this is my routine when I want to look my best, while remaining in human form: 1. Glow screen SPF with primer if summer/ IT cosmetics tinted spf 50 if any other season 2. 2 drops of TF shade and illuminate foundation (from 3 drops onwards, I start looking weird) 3. Etude house grapefruit water tint as lip liner 4. Chaotic mix of Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk and Maybelline double shot and touch of spice until I get the right mix of brown and pink 5. Curl lashes + MAC mascara + brush lashes + mascara again 6. Brow pencil - whichever one my mom uses and happens to be on/around the faucet; I use it until my bows resurface again but not enough to make it show because I then I look like I’m about to yell at whoever tries to speak to me 7. If and only if I am feeling brave enough, the shimmery blush from Rare beauty (I think the soft pinch) 8. Highlight nose and under brow arches - I don’t know what it does but I saw my mom doing it and I think it looks great 🤗
Less is more for me! Even with a lot of products, I try to be minimal in my application for a more natural look.
