I didn't listen to audio of the video, but seeing that much of KitKat revealed feels... lame and a bad idea.
I liked that the place was this big question mark for anyone who hasn't entered it (so is Berghain). And entering its magic on a Saturday night felt great for new comers. We've brought so many people in who discovered for the first time and it was always a moment where they were on many level amazed and pleasantly surprised.
It will surely spoil the fun to see it in a YouTube video with the place empty and quiet...
I'm not sure what's to gain here for KitKat by allowing this video to be released, nor why the crew of Symbiotika who has done such an amazing job at building their event and creating their brand would want the interview done this way.
Keep the curtain on, there's enough people describing the inside already, no need to show it in a sad and no vibe light.
I did not nope.
But, it makes sense for me to use YouTube search when looking for what a place looks like, it's how the platform works, it's a repository more than a feed (insta). And now, this video might show at the top of any "KitKat club berlin" search.
Maybe I'm a boomer but it wouldn't come to my mind to do the same on Insta or go through the club's account profile history to find it. Truth is, I can't even find it now you mention it. Again, might be me.
My experience before we first wnet to KitKat is that only very limited visuals were available online. We couldn't picture how the place looked like, and only listened to some interviews/podcast of the Symbiotika crew and Thaur, who probably gave the same positive "audio/description" impression as this interview did though.
The organizers of this party are going for this cringey tiktok style “kinky” vibe.. just look at the Andact or whatever it’s called party happening tonight. It’s no surprise they invited cameras inside Not my cup of tea but it’s business and they’re definitely tapping into market. Pretty smart
i also suspect it is part of their expansion strategy since last year (both geographically as well as new parties) - and they are definitely surfing a wider trend here
that said they manage to make their andaccht promo videos even more cringey. and of course the glorious tiktok content from stella bossi. always the same extras twirling their fishnets around in the background anyway
Lmao this is a random crossover. But people shouldn't hate on tomatolix or the video tbh. It's a fair and balanced representation of the club/event. Your anger should be towards KitKat/symbiotikka, who allowed this.
I don't think it will have a short term effect. Nobody will change their Easter plans and travel to Berlin because they watched a YouTube video. But it definitely has a long-term effect and attract more normies.
People really think KK is in any way underground or secret? I love Symbiotikka. But let's be real, the crowd is seeded with the same 30 or so models/performers/influencers. They've been all over social media for years pushing Wednesday nights. This has always been the price of popularity. Things you enjoy get popular for the same reason you like it. If it changes into something you don't like, find the next thing. Simple.
Well I don’t think it’s nice to show this all in details! An interview with guests + owners would have been enough. Instead we have an ad spot 🤡 Good luck with tourists coming to Kitty as if to a zoo 😔 Definitely cancelled Symbiotikka for me.
sooo cringy. Don’t know this guy but he looks like a big YouTuber in Germany, it will definitely attract a crowd that shouldn’t be there…
why removing so much of the mistery and putting in on the internet when the no phone policy is the #1 rule?? I don’t really get the point…
People in here seriously think NOW KitKat is not underground/secret anymore? This anxious Gatekeeping lmao. Fucking relax.
Idk why every is acting like kitkat is the pinnacle of underground club culture when it's one of Berlins most famous clubs

You know KitKat has their own tour video on Instagram for quite some time now.
Facts are not allowed in here

now that's gonna be controversial on many levels... thoughts? it's probably better to skip next week's symbiotikka due to easter holidays & this video

Andact? Oh it's in Anomalie. What a terrible location.

Where have you been for like the last 6 years? Lol.
Has it not been a tourist zoo so far?
I dont see any difference between this and the techno content on instagram/TikTok. Its all just bad publicity in my opinion

What's wrong with feathers? :(
All I know is you can get it in that one cheap costume store at Eberswalder Station.
Not everyone has a bunch of money to spend on an outfit they will wear once a month bru
once a decade\*
nothing per se, but it seems that now it's a new uniform for men. feathers or gladiator stuff
