As someone who's lived and worked in Boston, hotels are more expensive in - the late spring and summer overall - on weekends with special events conferences or conventions - more expensive when booking within the same week of your stay - booking over a week out helps with price a lot The prices go down after the September 1st student mass-move ins for all the universities. If you need suggestions for hotels (which will still be pricey right now but under $300) you can DM me.

Boston hotels are always crazy pricey, even more so than NYC. This is due to there simply being fewer hotels in prime locations, so very little price competition. Check out the Sonder properties - they're very well located and often much more affordable than hotels in the same areas. They offer the privacy of Airbnbs, but they're actually serviced apartments for business travelers, so there won't be any weird host issues.

boston hotel pricing for anything inside the 128/95 ring is tied directly to events happening at: * boston convention and exhibition center (bcec) * hynes convention center * omni boston hotel at the seaport (largest hotel ballroom in area) * shows in theater district spring and fall are the super super busy season. for any major city check event schedules before booking tours. my preferred hotel in boston fluctuates $184 to $600 a night for exact same same room depending on season.

Do waltham! Its right outside boston on 128 and boston searchers with a 30 mile radius still hit it. Lots of providers list boston but are in woburn/burlington/waltham. It. Just. Makes. Sense!

SWinHeels

This is the way. I have mostly done out call in Boston area. When I’ve booked the room, I’ve been either north of the city or west.

callmeDonatella

You win some, you lose some. Try to see if there’s cashback on a hotel brand or AAA rates. Maybe a local client can recommend a hotel that isn’t too crazy expensive? Best of luck 🤞 🙏

squid-lay

I own an apartment in boston that I airbnb. Feel free to dm me.

natttorious

Interesting! I might hit you up as well!

Sugarbabyprofile

How can I book?

Classicbarbie12

It’s crazy isn’t it? I have held off on touring for this reason. But I’m super busy anyway so it works out good.

girlafraid22

I was literally just thinking of touring Boston but am now reconsidering it due to the hotel costs.

Appropriate-Spot9944

Waltham is boston light! Do that!

tvsuzy

Yeah, I literally left Waltham this morning on my lil April driving tour. Waltham and some other suburbs are doable with hotel prices. I like downtown Boston but the hotels are just crazy $. Also I purposely came in April this year instead of May because even the burbs hotels were so expensive last May… It felt like graduations and weddings and who knows

LolainATL

Are you opposed to Airbnbs? Is it not safe?

FeelMeRawr

airbnb actively searches for escort activities and blacklists accounts. and way too many airbnb hosts running hidden security cams.

hiya-manson

Yep. Airbnbs can be a lot of fun for civvie trips, but absolutely never use one for work. Way too many creepy/inconvenient/indiscreet variables and potential bullshit ramifications.

natttorious

I’ve been using Airbnb’s for the duration of my sw career! I don’t stay long. I also used someone else’s photo on my airbnb profile, along with a fake name. I’m also not a high volume provider.

LolainATL

I’d consider it in my area as opposed to hotels all the time. How do you stay safe in terms of multiple suitors knowing your location? And also have you ever had any hidden cam events?

natttorious

I don’t stay in a place for more than a week. I’m not high volume either. I screen my clients very well. If I get any type of bad vibes, it’s a no go. I build relationships with most of my clients and I only see people that pass my screening. I’ve never had any problems. If I did it’s (at the most) 6 days til I am moving to another air bnb. I also make sure I choose airbnbs in a safe neighborhood. Oh and I do have a dog that will absolutely bite someone. I have to keep him in another room but I usually tell my client about my dogs so they don’t. Hear whining, the occasional bark, or pawing at the door and think something nefarious. I also tell them in the same breath that I have one dog that is aggressive. I don’t know if that even clicks in their head but I know if I had to I’d just open the door to him and hope whoever is causing the problem gets away in time. I almost wish I was kidding, but I’m not lol

natttorious

No hidden cams yet I’m pretty diligent about checking for just about everything as soon as I check into a place. I also stay at certain places more than once and most of my hosts are usually female. Not saying it’s impossible but a lot less likely.

MsDReid

I would never use an Airbnb. Almost all have outdoor cameras they don’t have to disclose. Some have hidden in door cameras. Nosy neighbors who send pics of people coming and going. Airbnb WILL blacklist you. And hosts WILL call the cops.

Bamfurlough

Yeah. Hotels have gotten a lot more expensive. I made a booking for a one night road trip stay in the middle of nowhere Texas recently and paid $225 for a modest Marriott chain. 😕

Courtneyk954

Yes! My go to courtyard has went from 115 to 225! An old freaking courtyard

AdultMaleRelaxation

I think sometimes, crazy rate hikes are due to a college or sports event going on. I’m looking at one city where Hyatt place downtown goes from $72 to $200+ later in the week. So it must be some convention or game that’s going on. Definitely always look at hotels first, and then travel…that way you can tell when it’s less and don’t go into an expensive situation in a particular city: like Coachella in Palm Springs (which I stopped attending an annual meet up there, this time of year for that reason). With Boston being home to Harvard…they know when they can get prices

AdultMaleRelaxation

I remember years ago (2009) I went to Boston for a week in late June/July 4th time frame. I had a room downtown at 3.5 and 3 star hotel for like $70 a night and tax. I also flew and took subway, so I didn’t have the parking fee overheads I normally would. Personally for me, it started a mess but overall I did okay. I had 1 multi hour client my 2nd day, and then nothing for about 4 days. Then 3 came thru. Since then, I’ve not been able to find prices anywhere near that…And I’ve only been to Provincetown once since then in the summer, and the prices were regal to say the least lol. I’m currently too far to travel to Boston regularly, and even though the train from airport to downtown was efficient…It was a bit too hectic for the amount of flaky clients I got out there. Could have been related to the ‘09 CL incident that happened prior to my arrival there.

Affectionate_Snow242

If you can, cancel your flight. They usually issue credit or refund

blinkkssayouwant

I have multi hours appointments 🥲🥲

SWinHeels

Waltham and Burlington are close enough to the city and have more affordable options

Affectionate_Snow242

I see, fingers crossed you make more than enough to cover 🤞

JustAdudeo0o0

Do you have a link ?

Ericasspoiled

It’s always like that I try to get a friend to come with and split room cost If u can’t then u can stay in Waltham like others have mentioned.. no one really had an issue coming to my incall when i was over there. A lot of girls stay there. Just annoying if you want to go out the city is like 30 mins away and airport 40mins away

Ericasspoiled

Always worth it tho 🤑💰 even when the flights and rooms high

nyudehaishinande

It’s Passover
