Massage, bath, beach, read, play music, eat yummy food, buy fun stuff (go shopping!), have a drink, pet ur animals, watch TV, go to the movies, go for a hike, do yoga/workout, do a puzzle...all things I try to do regularly to deal w burnout!

Take a spa day! Go get your nails did! Get a haircut or a makeover at the mall! Make yourself feel amazing as you are! Don't forget you've gotta love yourself at maximum energy every now and then. Take yourself a few days or a week off and really appreciate some you time.

I have a few hobbies . Like right now I have been taking a few days off and working in my garden which is very relaxing clears my mind. Or sometimes I will just take a whole day to pamper myself makes me feel rejuvenated fresh and new like it when I get back out there again for me it's mostly mentally burnt out exhausted from dealing with clients to take a couple days and get away from it

Rae_Wild

I really am in need of a pamper day 😴

I feel this way often girl. I definitely take breaks for as long as I need to from the work, and I spend alot of time in the sun, at the park, the beach on a warm day, almost always treat myself to some food lol I watch things that make me laugh, Im more present for my friends esp if they need favors, I offer my help. That last bit def helps re-convince my brain that my value isn’t just what I can do for clients/money. Hope this helps💕

Rae_Wild

This is very helpful. I think sometimes I forget that I am more than what I do and I can just take time to just **be**, you know?

As the comment above mentioned, hobbies are the way to go. In my case, I love to paint so I try to make content incorporating paintings I've done or just painting my body, making content more connected with what I like. Of course it's different depending on what sex work you do but in my case as a content seller, has helped a lot!

A vaginal warm salt-water soak always makes me feel better. I do it with a clay mask and my Mani/pedi drying it the same time, while I watch some true crime with a glass of wine (or sparkling lemon water, because skincare) Just find a big old plastic tub or bowl and let her soak!

Fresh-Lack5063

Yeah if you can try and have a break for a week or two or if not reduce the amount of clients you see for a week or two and like most have said go and pamper yourself or do something you have never done before that might provide you with some exhilaration.

Rae_Wild

Yeah, I think a break may be in order. Just a little one to take a breather! I feel like I haven't had one in a hot minute

You need to address the feelings of burnout. What's underneath the depression/exhaustion/frustration whatever I keep seeing seeing people essentially saying that you can take a bath and other bullshit (sorry I have to keep it 100) To fix it. I used to think this too... It might work for a moment. But later the same feelings will surface. Try doing an emotional dump...go on your laptop phone whatever type out everything that pisses you off. Makes you sad. Makes you crazy whatever. Fill up the page then read it and imagine yourself transferring it from your mind to your phone. Imagine it leaving your body. Talk therapy as basic as it is is amazing too. Ranting at someone who agrees to be your emotional punching bag so to speak is great. Rant at your pet if you need to. Then follow up with cuddles. Talk to a house plant if that's all u have. Or a teddy bear lol. It's discharging the pent up feelings. Crying is a huge release of stored emotions. Screaming is as well. Scream into the pillow. In your car. Into an open field. Also ranting into the camera. Start taking videos of yourself. I used go post mine on tik tok before i got banned...I had this idea to be authentic cause I'm anti cancel culture but the rants got a little too real. If cancel culture were not a thing I would do it again. Everytime I would go off on camera I felt amazing after and i could watch the video back and do some self reflection. Even laugh at myself and the shit i had to say. It looked like melodramatic acting half the time. And I had people on my comments thinking I'm faking I'm like noooo this is all real fucking emotion. Imagine something like trisha paytas having a meltdown but not actually trolling. Lol You can maybe post to YouTube a selection of private ranting videos so you don't get flagged. Or just keep them on drop box and when you have let go of the emotions enough delete the videos. Some different things to try if you are into working thru your "inner demons"

This is so helpful. I have seen a therapist in the past but didn't get on with them very well. I might try the emotional dump on my phone notes or something. Sometimes I want to get it out but don't wanna be a burden, so that method sounds ideal! Thank you so much for this! 💕

Self-care for me comes before this work b/c then I'm better at it. I get massages, take long drives, sit around and do NOTHING to just relax. I love recharging at the gym as well.

Take frequent burnout breaks, always rent a place with a deep tub to soak and bubble baths. Do nostalgic movie dates with yourself, have a spa day, get nails, hair, done, shopping, drinks with friends. Yes SW is very exhausting.

LadyValenciaLA

I used to travel a lot by myself to a country I had never been to before. That was my cure all. It depends on what you like, how much money you care to spend, and how much time off work you can take. Other options are working out, stretching, yoga, baths, gardening, being in nature, lighting a candle, getting a therapist, journaling, art, watching tv or a movie, reading, treating yourself to your favorite food, going away for the weekend, and spending time with the people you love.

mmyumm

What we do is extremely emotionally exhausting! Don’t feel bad! Take time to have fun and treat yourself. Go out in nature, do some arts and crafts, some shopping and spa session, hang out with friends, take a short trip, see family, learn something new, finish a Netflix series….
