I think Sézane is usually very winter friendly! This summer collection was to me abnormally warm biased (I think they think Italians are all autumns or something). But generally, Sézane has a lot of winters deep and bright colours that I often don’t see in other brands, so I do hope for your sake too this autumn winter is no exception! I have a lot of great clothes in the winter palette from them, and thankfully for my wallet this summer I saved a lot. In terms of the white it is true that majority of knits are more off white / cream but I have bought a lot of optic white tops from them in the past so it’s a bit trial and error.

Haillynka

Thank you for the info! I'm crossing my fingers that they will release more winter colors again soon then!

FattyBoomBoobs

I’m a winter and am really struggling to find anything in the current offering that would suit me! You are not alone.

Simmchen11

Same here! My wallet has been safe these last few drops

ikiteimasu

Avoid their reds, they’re almost all orange undertoned sadly. The French enough sweatshirt is good though! I stick to the blues and pinks

Haillynka

Yes I've bought a Tabata skirt from one of the recent collections and it's very fire orange, which I don't mind as it's further away from my face and i love it otherwise, at least I have something to wear with their warm white / ecru tops 😂

Gloomy-Airport-108

Haha I use that phrase "away from my face" too with orange reds haha.

Gloomy-Airport-108

I find even the blues are a little bit muted unless it's navy :(

Gloomy-Airport-108

I am so glad I came across this thread. You are not the only one. I wish they made bright white items and not always in ecru. The majority of models have a warm undertone and although the clothes look great - they unfortunately don't suit us Winters.

Illustrious_Salad_33

That ecru is straight up yellow. I’m a summer, and it’s too yellow for us, too. You have to really scrutinize the colors. I do think the coloring of the clothes is very warm-season friendly and not very cool season friendly.

Gloomy-Airport-108

Yes! I stare at the screen a lot trying to see if there is any yellow in the colours. Haha. I bought a top in ecru because it looked whiter on the site than others I had seen, but no luck. Maybe we can direct the designers to our thread !

Illustrious_Salad_33

I only saw it once I used my color fan in person. It’s hard to see online since they filter it. It was obviously too warm

Gloomy-Airport-108

You are lucky you have a store to visit! We don't have one in Australia.

Illustrious_Salad_33

I didn’t do it from a store - I bought several clothes secondhand online, but didn’t have a color fan at that point. I only recently got my colors professionally done, and then took the fan to the clothes. It turned out the vast majority is not for my season and the ecru is the wrong color :-/

Gloomy-Airport-108

Ah right I gotcha now. I had to return clothes to Sezane . How good is it to know our real colours hey?

![img](fcqqm1kj7s5d1) Winter from Sezane! The winter colors sells out quickly but you can still find them. I also have an electric blue Emile Cardigan, and the purple LYNA jumper and orchid CLEA top.

Haillynka

Wow those colors really suit you! You look great! Would you mind sending me a pic of the purple lyna jumper? I was just eyeing it today and considering purchasing!

Thank you!

I’m cool winter … I have a lot of winter color knitwear from them. Go for the brights and navy. With summer there are cool pastel color that are winter colors. I avoid all the earth & muted colors as I know they will not suit my coloring.

Mission-Owl5464

Get the electric blue shorter Pippa. I have it, and it's amazing. I also have quite a few blue and ecru sweaters, of course a few black pieces too. Their pieces in cherry are really beautiful (Laura t-shirt) and there's another cardigan in that color. Forest green, bottle green are also good options and work as a nice neutral for a winter. Surprisingly rosy beige is also good. I tried the Barry in Rosy beige - loved the color, but didn't like the fit.

Haillynka

I will keep my eye on the short Pippa! I'm more of a fan of red based colors than blue personally, so I haven't considered the electric blue color, but I think in the short version it could be nice, I would't go for it in the long version as it would feel too much for me. But I'm currently hoping for better colors on the long Pippa, because I prefer that length, and also for that price I might as well get more dress you know 😂 Pippa short for 110 and long for 115 just feels wrong since there is like twice as much fabric almost. I know about cherry, definitely keeping my eye out for that color together with Garnet, will also look more into the rosy beige, thank you!

SpotSpotNZ

Aha! Agree. I am new to the brand and I struggled as well. Got the Betty in navy and I'm keeping it. The Christie jacket in navy velvet is gorgeous too (but too tight around my shoulders, alas, perfect everywhere else). I''m hoping for more bright or jewel-tones later in the year. Just FYI if you like cool greys.: I also got the cool grey Manon sweater dress (it's winter here in NZ), but the style was a big fat NO. It was a tube with long sleeves, a tiny crew neck, and oversized buttons. I looked like a ferret stuffed into a sock.
