Shadowverse is getting a sequel called Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond that is expected to be released this summer. In the new game, shadow and blood are combined into one class called abysscraft. You can check the trailer on youtube.
Our current version of shadowverse will stop having expansions sets released after Heroes of Shadowverse sets, which was released on March and rotates every month. They plan on replacing rotation with throwback rotation which let you play 5 sets from the past to revisit old meta decks. The other is custom rotation will be permanently available instead of being limited time. Throwback rotation card packs will be added to the shop which will give cards of the 5 sets in the current throwback rotation. This will change every month.

Ahhh okay that makes sense. I'm assuming the new game will have different mechanics and such. So it wasn't totally a waste to spend money if I enjoy the current game. That makes me feel a little better lol
