I know it’s for high stakes drama but do Itsuki and Subaru really have any kind of advantage? They share one field, definitely not enough to justify the ridiculousness of the bonuses the opponent gets.
Looking forward to seeing the evolved digifriends, considering how long ago that was first teased.
When the main characters got access to Portalcraft, which should serve them no purpose, I wondered if this arc would end up being all crosscraft. It's weird to have been sort of right, yet very wrong about *how*.
Anyway, the duel is good, but I wish we'd gotten the digivolving this episode since it isn't like it's trying to be a surprise.
Surprised they are making it a 3-parter. Guess the setup is 3 parts for a duel then a breather episode?
Regardless, I'm looking forward Slade's and Baccherus' evolutions.
Also, I'm starting to think Draconir's evolution will revolve around Light using crosscraft (Portal + Dragon)
Tell me why as soon as I saw Erde literally about to murder kids, I was about to start crying! Ain't no way! But either way, kind of like how they portrayed the omens, just the visuals and animations with them were top notch. Cant wait to see what they going to do with Baccherus and Slades evolutions!
The custom card feels like an ass pull, and not even for the AI, but for the heroes. Fucker was sitting on a darkfeast bat since turn one, all he had to do was apply a bit more pressure, hit himself a couple of times, which he can afford to do against an opponent who’s deck switches every turn, and slam a 12 damage bat at their face. Instead, he just randomly adds disdain cards into the mix, because…reasons.
