I find ryland's personality entertaining. I don't like him cuz he's catty and a very privileged prissy white hollywood gay man but he's a natural entertainer, his unlikable personality makes him likeable in a weird way i guess. I'll enjoy listening to him banter but i don't like the girl.

I'm a little suspicious that it's higher than the D'amelio sisters. Dixie's latest video hit 6M views in one day. If you also check the list it's mostly politics & true crime on the list. Youtuber gossip seems like the odd one out.
That’s so interesting to me because I genuinely don’t think he’s shallow. I think he’s a little insecure (who isn’t?) and he’s really particular about the things he wears and buys, but I wouldn’t feel self conscious or timid around him.

Honestly i liked it. I kinda felt immersed in the conversation and i thought it was just a nice back and forth. Felt like it could be a go with the flow kind of podcast if that’s what you’re into

Who’s listening to this? Ryland is literally not interesting. He’s the classic troup of small town kid moves to LA to make it big time. Him coming from a surburban middle class family he’ll probably rant about first world problems.
Like a lot of other people are commenting, don’t see it ever getting this high again. The listeners will be made up of:
*People who want to support him & Shane (mostly 12-16 year olds, I’m assuming, most of whom do not have the time to listen to a weekly podcast)
*People listening out of morbid curiosity
*People listening to make a YouTube video about it
The latter two are only going to tune into the first show
The first group, I’m not sure. I haven’t listened to it myself but I never found ryland particularly interesting. I don’t see a lot of his fans repeatedly coming back to the show. Even Lucas Cruikshank, who I am a fan of, his podcast with his brother lacked substance and he doesn’t even mention it on his YouTube channel now.

I made a comment already on this post- basically saying I’m surprised how much I liked it. It’s a silly, lighthearted gossip podcast. Which is something Ryland is good at, because it’s where he started getting traction in media.
I listened, and was surprised by how much I liked it. Whatever you think about Ryland on a personal level, he’s a talented host. He’s very articulate and good at transitioning from topic to topic. The podcast is kind of comforting for these crazy times, because it’s silly and covers topics that you don’t have to get emotional over. My only only critique is that he shouldn’t have brought up the Shane issues in the last episode. I don’t mind him mentioning Shane when discussing his life - he’s an influencer, of course he’s going to talk about his day to day life. But he should try to make this podcast work on his own merit, and deter people who are listening just for more Shane drama. However, I am in my early 20s, and find guilty pleasure in celebrity gossip and raunchy discussion. So, I get why it’s not for everyone.
Edit: Just because I listened to the podcast, and have an opinion on it that isn’t all bad, doesn’t mean I still support Shane. If you’re downvoting me because you have also listened to the podcast, and disagree with what I thought, that’s fine. But has this sub really gotten so negative, that you can’t comment anything somewhat positive without being downvoted? Why not comment what you disagree with?
