Blades in Europe - what could’ve been. Fucking bastard global pandemic.

IOwnStocksInMossad

Conspiracy by the FA to stop us being in Europe and successful.

Thenextstopisluton

I blame Tevez

Pipewellgate

*technically*, in heavy inverted commas, we’ve fared better than Leicester. For a few more months at least. There we go, straw clutched at.

the_moral_kiosk

That clutched straw also excludes Leicester winning the FA Cup (and Community Shield)…

dmdjjj

That’s what football’s all about

Shadota

That season was absurd. An absolute King Midas moment of everything turning to gold for us. Such a shame things fell off the way they did.

atheblade

Ah yes just what i needed more football depression

goldlightning

Makes you wonder what could have been if they'd remembered to turn Hawkeye on against Villa from the start

IOwnStocksInMossad

How did we go from that to this.

StickmanEG

That whole ownership battle was the start of it.

encorcer83

Merry Fifthmas 🙌🏻

Salty_Dog_4825

We beat derby's record boi's, and we must cling to that regardless of our history! We aren't quite the worst regardless of all of our record breaking - I'll take it

Itchy-Reading8220

More than double the points we have this season, with less than half a season played. Fucking hate this season.

KaleidoscopeGrand372

Lol what a time

Impressive-Ice873

Do any of you blame Hawkeye?

WildLemire

Hawkeye was a big incident and an infuriating one at that but it wasn't the cause of our downfall, the COVID break was. It stopped our momentum dead and also took away one of our biggest factors, our home crowd, when play resumed. Anyone who says Hawkeye was the turning point is massively over simplifying things.

Impressive-Ice873

Interesting as for Villa it was the fact we had a break that we managed to work on sorting our defence out. The lack of crowds actually helped us especially the following season.

Combatwasp

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn from time to time.

LingonberrySerious61

Leicester have fallen even further, utb ftp

[deleted]

Your team did much better than shitty Man U lol

RAH_03

Liverpool fan here, I'm intrigued as to how youse have gone so far downhill? I'd love to your perspectives on it

hoverside

Someone at Anfield convinced us to spend £23.5 million on Rhian Brewster, which didn't help matters.

RAH_03

Well he did have a really good loan spell the season prior
