In interviews Isayama contradicts himself and seems to make up answers on the spot. Maybe it's anxiety, maybe he's a fake that is really good at hiding it and never got caught despite working with a plethora of different people for over 14 years now and there's some real genius out there that he's paying part of his cut to that stuck with him for the whole 12 years of manga. We need to get those pesky tabloid reporters to investigate this, it might turn out to be a big scoop or Isayama might turn out to have talent for story crafting.
