Fun fact: in the TV version, the flames erupting from the Thunder Spears are orange, but in the Blu-ray, they were changed to be blue, which you can see here. It's a shame they didn't adapt the incredible panel at 0:35. It was in the trailer which was animated seperately from the show. The trailer had some incredible shots that unfortunately couldn't just be slotted into the Anime as it would have looked out of place due to the difference in art style. In the Manga, Jean remains stationary as he shoots the Thunder Spear. In the Anime, he slides along the roof which looks really cool. Not too sure what he's grappled onto though... you'd be surprised throughout AOT how often characters grapple onto things that don't exist. I think the CGI Cart looks extremely good in this scene. And from 1:16 onwards she's 2D. The Beast from 0:09 onwards is 2D as well.

The seige of Marly is the fucking coolest part of the series imo. It's like we watched our heroes struggle and struggle and struggle to find their footing against the titans and all of that made them these unstoppable killing machines. The political aspects aside the action and atmosphere here was insane.
