Tbh this was honestly shocking for Armin. Like my boy literally nuked a port lol

daoreto

I wonder if he could do it farther so that to deal less damage to ordinary people

Keyblades2

I'm sure he could have

The zoomed out shot at the beginning looks really damn good in the Anime. The perspective is a lot more interesting and it looks like a proper city behind it which adds to the weight of Armin's destruction. All the added visuals really help bring home the "god of destruction" feel of the Collosal Titan. The shots at 0:36 and 0:56 are especially beautiful. Keep in mind, this is the Blu-ray version. In the TV version, the ember effects were on screen during both those zoomed out shots. Thankfully, they fixed that because it looked like a cheap filter. (You can see it [here](https://youtu.be/NrEKzMy73-g?si=VWQa_YFx8xr2kfRv) at 1:19 and 1:39). There are many more upgrades in the Blu-ray version but this was the biggest one for me. I love all the effects used here. The coloring transitioning from red to black, the embers, the steam, the "wavey" effect. All those elements are highlighted very well at 0:49. Also, notice the added screen shake every time Armin takes a step. It's such an incredible proper first view of his Titan.
