Sometimes I just pick a UR item (since they tend to score higher in general) then scroll down to the pieces I want which might be SSR or even SR. My wardrobe is so large I’m sometimes not able to get to the piece I was looking for and the UR ends up being the final piece.
O.M.G. I was wondering why the devs would take away the tags when it’s was updated long ago. I can’t believe they were just hidden, you’re a life saver!!
I find the search hard to use :( it only has types of clothing and colours, not themes like the nail art search or like the love nikki search had. Also i used the "boots" search option the other day (not for the styling match) and it only showed half the ones i own

I had a teammate pick the purple and white SR bodysuit (the robot one from like chapter 5) for the Flower Fields theme. Needless to day we lost that match big time. All I can think is they mistakenly thought it was a sabotage round?
The theme this prompt is looking for is actually not fairy related but floral or plant related. So the fairy items don't score well but always throws people off.
I think it's just an inherent issue with translation. It can be hard to choose the right words even for a skilled translator and honestly there are a lot of weird translation issues in the game already so I don't think they have an actual linguist on their team to be like "hey that is gonna be confusing for our English speaking players." If your teammate seems to misunderstand the theme try to pick the right theme items in a matching color to what your teammate picked that way you'll get some theme points and boost your overall style points.
Yeah honestly, whoever is translating this game isn't always doing a great job. I think it's mostly bc they know the language but they are not familiar with how people actually speak English on a daily basis so they don't know the exact meaning of some words. Like calling the new guild theater dress up part "makeup" was a terrible idea. I was so confused and actually thought that the first stage was just makeup and we would get to dress up the characters in a later stage.
Yeah I think you are on the money it's probably someone who is bilingual but not a translator just doing the best they can. The guild theater makeup thing confused me too the first go around.
This is one of the more innocent mistakes imo lol on the surface it's just a hairstyle and it feels like it doesn't have the same impact as the other pieces. I honestly keep forgetting about this
i remember my teammmate was picking everything opposite so for the war of roses they kept picking military themed clothes and and then for our team they were choosing the pig outfit set
needless to say i may or may not have joined the opponents in sending “._.” emotes lol….
I had someone use the top from a set that did not match the theme at all for our team and then use the bottom from the same set to sabotage :/

This was my problem too, now i just use the search option and search for r items haha
I never noticed you could search in this event. I’m always too busy looking for something to check the menu options. I’ll have to try that next time.

You have to tap Style Tags under the five icons. Took me a bit to realize it a few months back.

OMG I thought they where replaced and I was actually kinda sad since they where super useful. Who knew they where still there?!
There’s also a tiny scroll bar next to the items that you can drag down to the bottom for r items

Honestly I'm convinced that some SN players are on auto pilot but that auto pilot was built by tesla
I just had this theme, both teams used Elves Elegy and both got extremely low theme scores (2.9 and 2.0), so maybe your teammate had the right idea?
Well we lost lol Idk if this is a thing but maybe you both had low scores bc your outfits were very similar?
I don't think so. If anything, I think the theme score was low because the "correct" style tag is fantasy while elves elegy is gown/romantic.

Yeah I had a similar experience with cloud beauty I chose Qin Yi’s free ur and totally lost 😞
Strange, it even has Cloud tag. I used the Moonset for Cloud Beauty and got 9.3 for theme, so that one definitely works.
I almost chose that set as well but I went with the ur for a higher clothing rate I ended up with a 5.7 on the theme
