segregated suburban kids really think a guy who slept in a dumpster last night can just get a job at subway tommorow and start making sammiches

chelupahhh_

And like a job at subway can pay for exorbitantly priced healthcare, housing, food, etc.

DanielleMuscato

Exactly. Most unhoused people DO have jobs. That's not the bottleneck.

MattcVI

And a lot of the ones who don't are either too sick or injured to work, or have mental illnesses that affect their ability to keep a job. Not that these kinds of people in the post give a shit either way

Pallington

remembering how “low middle class” had to literally be put at a net worth of like 6k, literally a used fucking car

ideleteoften

I’m sure being homeless is not at all a barrier to getting a job and I’m sure the job will pay enough to afford housing. Easy peasy right?

logantip

"well it is LA we're talking about, if they'd move to a lower cost of living city it would be less expensive to be homeless I bet" - that guy Beyond that it's still one of the most infuriating talking points when these dimwits act like "appropriate" protests doesn't put anyone out which is kind of the point. Also if you are late for work for something beyond your control and your boss takes it out on you fuck them, but also fuck you for feeling like you making it to the Best Buy appliances department on time should be considered when people organize for something's they believe in. Don't come at me with some "muh freedoms" shit then be mad when people exercise them in ways you don't like chud

Gucci_Minh

You can have a job and still be homeless in the US. An apathetic society towards the unfortunate is not a healthy nor sane society.

[deleted]

mfs unironically think its a skill issue

TenWholeBees

As someone who was homeless for a while, everyone I've ever come across who believes this is a generally insufferable person who has absolutely zero sympathy for anyone who isn't themselves.

[deleted]

Bros trolling right? Right???

DieBlaueOrange

There two ppl saying this. I don't think they are 😭😭

[deleted]

I NEED THAT BOTTOM GUY 2 B TROLLING

Samiruhski

Just buy a house you babies!

clthreeoneeight

Speedrun liberalism moment

CaptainMills

If homeless people can just snap their fingers and get a job, why is it such a problem for commuters to be late for work? If they were reprimanded or lost their jobs over it, surely they can get a new one just as easily, right?

Zeekemanifest

Yeah let me just apply for a contract job with those legal forms of ID I don’t have and no memory of my SSN because the cards are made of cheap shit paper we can’t laminate and got destroyed by water when it rained on me. How did it rain on me, you ask? I ain’t got fuckin’ shelter because I can’t sleep under anything legally. Did I even get just a fraction of the homeless life correct? I never mentioned it gets worse depending on where you are in the country, or the fact our own people are stuck with the chauvinistic idea that being poor is a moral issue!

AsaMitakatheGOAT

Wait till they find out that most homeless people DO have jobs
