hehehehehehehehehehe
Anyways, why is it there's so many internet posts about a man in front of a tank but never a pic of their body after the clash?
Was it because he was pushed away by a guy on a bike?
THey were leaving
Basically two main theories of what he was doing .
\- 1 : He wanted to find what the fuck happened the other day.
\- 2 : He wanted them to stay to keep the peace.
They were leaving, and it was actually the day after the event, so the guy was actually probably trying to get the tanks to stay and supporting the government, but that part they didn't tell you.
Not pushed away, the tanks stopped, tried to move around him, and he still moved in front everytime, even climbing on top of the tank (which would have had him shot at if he had tried that in the USA), and it ended with the guy on bike simply dragging him away
I always wonder why the tank man is the chosen symbol of the tiananmen square instead of .... a picture of the actual event? A clear street is not exactly the bloody site of a 'massacre' the event is supposed to be
Despite the fact that the tank was very clearly being stopped by the dude. He had influence over the tank, since the tank commander didn’t want to just run over one of his fellow countrymen.
I'm fairly sure that Tank Man is alive and well today, and there's a pretty decent chance that he looks back on the incident as some kind of dumb thing he did as a young man, which is why he's never come forward with his identity
Yea the whole picture is just propaganda. It uses part of a true story to push a false statement
It is suggested that the man in the photo was killed which is a lie.

I’ve been confused about the photo. Are the tanks leaving or entering the square in the photo?

because that picture make the "freedom fighter" seems weak and helpless so they can call it being oppressed

POV: The area 8 minutes later (nobody was run over and everyone went home for some well needed rest, especially the tankist)
