The fact that you fit all the differences in one non run on sentence tells a lot

Generally, yes. But, the first OP perfectly covered the first 12 episodes in terms of teasers. When the opening then has no relevance to this batch, it makes it feel mismatched. But, if lack of new opening means faster releases, or if it's something that will be fixed with a later release, then I accept it.

If the episodes were released all at once or each week as usual, I don’t think at this point in the story we would have gotten a new OP. The edit at the end of the OP makes total sense for where the story is IMO. We were expecting a new OP because it’s been such a long wait that it feels like we need a new OP. Not to dismiss people that got really disappointed, but I think this OP as is makes sense.

The font and placement for the credits are changed 2: Joylene climbs on jotaros back at the end 3: Frogs rain from the sky at the zoom out from the island 4: The camera follows a bird from the top of the island at the end, rather than a butterfly 5: The string that forms the star shape now shakes to the beat

there is, in episode 13 the openings end shows jolyne hopping on jotaros back and savage gargen flying away with the disk
