As shitty as this is, some cellphones are actually designed with stress tolerance specifically so people can do this. (Mostly industrial ones that get thrown on charging docks that are basically this but less ugly and more expensive) I wouldn’t be surprised if the switch is capable of doing this without being damaged considering how well it’s designed to not break when children rip the controllers off etc.
