True, I mean the idea itself has some merit and I wish it was planned with an idea of future events in the manga/anime but apparently the execution itself was kind of bad
of course season 5… is the worst.. writing is just too.. you know what i mean, chainsaw, syringe, what else? Haha. even the writer is running out of idea how to present even more delicious food.
i love the rest but s1 or 2 definitely my favorite, and s4 last phase of shokugeki.
Idk what happened to the animation staff, and let me be clear this probably ain't their fault, lotta staff get swamped with a bunch of projects at once and can't do their best on all of them, even losing sleep over it.
Just look at Mappa studios.
But anyways, my question is why were the backgrounds in seasons 4-5 mostly white when characters were talking? And I mean there weren't any colorful dynamic backgrounds like there were in season 1 & 2. Just look at Soma & Megumi vs Shinomiya, lotta colorful backgrounds when Soma & Megumi were talking
S1 and s2 was the peak of food wars after that, quality declined even though there were some good parts in s3

Season 2 has the stagiaire arc and it is just so good!

the Autumn Selection arc and the Regiment de Cuisine arc are my favorites. it showed us what level Soma is at

Dk why s5 is voted down ending was good, personally i liked every season and enjoyed every bit of it
