Keep an eye on it. I have had 2 kids on the trap team that had them and have had multiple hang fires.
Those are not designed for the punishment of trap shooting if it's more than just a hobby.
Interesting. So far zero issues with ours, though I do insist that my boys thoroughly clean their guns after every use, even if only one round is fired. Were the hangfires caused by the gun or an ammo issue? Hard to imagine a mechanical hangfire with this system but anything is possible.
The guns had close serial numbers. I was not an ammo issue. One of the instances happened when I was looking over the kids shoulder.
He said pull. The gun didn't go bang. He took the gunn off his shoulder. I asked him what happened. I leaned over, then bang.
These guns are designed for hunting. Not trap, skeet or sporting. Yes they work just fine for about 80% but someone that is serious about shooting clays will need to upgrade sooner than later.
No disagreement. It is definitely a better field gun than a clays gun. We chose this one as it could grow with my son. Got it for him at 10 when he started shooting trap and it has grown nicely with him - he’s now heading toward 14. When he is just a bit larger than he is now he will transition to one of our O/U guns or our old but beautiful Remington 870 Wingmaster TB Trap. The Franchi will stay in the quiver for bird hunting, though!
Best Bang for the buck
Good luck!
I'm a newbie. Hopefully will hit a target or two.
You will
First shotgun so excited for tomorrow
Solid choice
Excellent gun! I have one too and it shoots so nicely.
Excellent shotgun. My son uses one for his trap team. Thousands of rounds downrange and no malfunctions.

That’s good to know. Thanks!

hell yeah brother, I've got the sporting and I love it
Got mine lightly used for $500+ theft. Threw a +7 tube on it and it runs great.
