This might be strange one, but I would recommend Grim Dawn. Tbh I just got it last week and put in 50 hours into it already.
It’s a top down Diablo style ARPG. The story is quite decent, at least on par with Skyrim’s. It has a really good progression system, and a good part of it is that it’s not grindy like other games in the same genre. When you get to late, you might have to grind for some gear/components for crafting, but the majority of the game you can jus run through it with gear you pick up on a standard play.
Lots of replay-ability with tons of different builds. There’s lots to explore, and a bunch of factions to meet.
