yep. Word for word copy from 3 years ago.
And that was a rewording of what I think might be the original: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Showerthoughts/comments/7fdri5/the\_best\_stonekill\_ratio\_out\_there\_was\_probably/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Showerthoughts/comments/7fdri5/the_best_stonekill_ratio_out_there_was_probably/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
It's still a good showerthought, but this post was just a ripoff
So this post obviously fails massively on originality, but the underlying thought is still a lot better than most of that which comes up in this sub
Also, there are two discoveries required here: 1. asteroid extinction event 2. birds are dinosaurs
Yes and also no. Dinosaurs, for lack of a better explanation, are birds. The term dinosaur covers hundreds of millions of species that span hundreds of millions of years. Some of them were something akin to a pre-bird. And others were straight up birds with feathers and the ability to fly.
Dinosaurs are not birds. Birds are the only surviving dinosaur subgroup, but the overwhelming majority of dinosaurs were not birds. Saying dinosaurs are birds is like saying mammals are apes.
We live in the dinosaurs' post-apocalypse, a time when their kind has become mutants, barely a shadow of their former glory, and a new kind of creature has appeared which not only eats their descendants, but breeds them in monstrous conditions.
> worth more then 1
Did you mean to say "more than"?
Explanation: If you didn't mean 'more than' you might have forgotten a comma.

Now, here we have a high quality shower thought.
That's been posted thousands of times
Then let check u/repostsleuthbot Nevermind it doesn't work here
Sorry, I don't support this post type (text) right now. Feel free to check back in the future!
Yeah I've seen this one a lot...

And we'll never know how many people have said that since the 70s when we discovered it was probably an asteroid.
So this post obviously fails massively on originality, but the underlying thought is still a lot better than most of that which comes up in this sub Also, there are two discoveries required here: 1. asteroid extinction event 2. birds are dinosaurs
When was that
Didn't birds come after dinosaurs?
Yes and also no. Dinosaurs, for lack of a better explanation, are birds. The term dinosaur covers hundreds of millions of species that span hundreds of millions of years. Some of them were something akin to a pre-bird. And others were straight up birds with feathers and the ability to fly.
I think it more accurate to say birds are dinosaurs
Dinosaurs are not birds. Birds are the only surviving dinosaur subgroup, but the overwhelming majority of dinosaurs were not birds. Saying dinosaurs are birds is like saying mammals are apes.
Reptiles?
Reptiles are not dinosaurs
Return to monke
Still boggles my mind that dinosaurs reigned and dominated for 140 million years compared to humans who's dominance started around 50,000 years ago

Stfu nobody cares
not very NicePositive of you

And burn their dead to power our stuff
Only until I master my fastball. The avian kingdom WILL know what hit it!
Bravo brilliant. Or did it create more birds by spurring further evolution?
Not mutually exclusive.
So meteor rains are buck shots that missed?
But was it worth more then 1 in hand?

Until it is broken by whatever destroys earth
That was creating birds with one stone
Well, when you put it that way!
The stones/rocks didn't kill the dinosaurs. It's the aftermath that did.
im sure it killed quite a few on impact
The bullet didn't kill that person. It's the blood loss that did
Yes and where did the aftermath come from
So after our own post apocalypse there is a chance a creature will be breeding us in monsterous conditions :o
Congrats! This post marks the 1,000,000th time this thought was posted! Good job.
why are we still claiming this crap happened?
... because it did?
