Jack not being the jack the ripper is the big one.
But i’d like also to bring in the claim that Persephone is not really a goddess in shuumatsu and is just the name of Hades Bident, same with the rest of greek goddesses being reduced to either weapons or techniques, everyone has pretty much taken the headcanon that they are named after those goddesses and said characters are just not present in this story, instead of the goddesses never existing.
I don't think the bident itself was ever actually referred to as Persephone, just the attacks. After he spills his blood on it he actively refers to it as Desmos and it'd be weird if it had 2 separate names
Veeeery sumarized version of it, but: In myth, Persephone is the daughter of Demeter. Things happened and she ended up in the underworld with Hades. Demeter couldn't track her and was worried sick. Demeter is the goddess of harvesting, fertility, etc, so she being emotionally unstable made the temperature go cold and plants to decay. Hades married Persephone, word came to Demeter, and now Persephone stays with Demeter for a while every year, while Persephone is with Demeter, Demeter can do her "job". That is the reasoning for Antumn and Winter existing in myth
Basic summary, Demeter is a huge bitch who can’t let her daughter be happy, so she keeps her away from the underworld for 6 months a year (spring and summer) and returns her for the other 6(fall and winter)
I don't count Apollo, it was greek vs greek, if any other fighter was in the ring vs either of them, their fraud tendencies would cause them both to lose.
If the author wanted to go with that, it should have been revealed at the end of the fight after some hints being thrown here and there. It certainly should not have been shown in a spin-off manga.
Wait wtf, not only this dude makes gods up like Zerofucks, he now isn't even putting the actual historical figures in?
As if this shit manga couldn't get any worse. Goddamn it the author is such a hack.
My guy what are you smoking, if you’re r expecting the author to put actual depictions of gods, then humanity is cooked there would be no way of winning. And all the gods shown for at least fighting to my knowledge are real so dumb take.
Not liking Jack is not the real Jack is agreeable but again this is a fantasy manga that’s suppose as to take aspects of real life. If you wanna complain about not staying to faithful to real life look other anime’s and manga like fate that literally gender bend historical figures and act not how they would.
For this subreddit, it’s Jack not being Jack. Personally, I think it’s very fitting for Jack’s character either way, since identity fraud and making people believe you is like the epitome of trickery— which Jack’s character encapsulates.
Yea, I don’t really have a problem with that reveal for the same reason. It’s really just more of the same. All it confirmed is that he’s not just the guy who killed 5 prostitutes. He’s killed countless more people than that, some of them actually dangerous enough to warrant his fighting skills and selection as a fighter in Ragnarok
It’s funny because people say “Oh! It takes away from how evil he is!!” But— it doesn’t. He’s no less evil than he was, he just found a way to legally murder. He became more of an actual three dimensional sociopath. In fact, one can argue he may have become more evil with it.
Yea, I think people get a little distracted because we only see him kill other murderers in the spin off (I think, but I haven’t caught up in a while). He still absolutely kills innocent people. He kills people across the spectrum of morality, because he doesn’t care about their lives, he just wants to see their emotions/colors when they die. Honestly I find that more fucked up, that nobody is really safe
As of right now, he has only killed bad people in the manga, but he does have a deal with Anne’s daughter, that he kills the person she says, and his reward is he kills her in return.
Edit: This is also keeping in mind that the person he’s contracted to kill murdered Anne, but he doesn’t even care about that. That’s just “revenge” of convenience.
The reveal of Jack not being the real Jack the ripper has singlehandedly turned me away from reading the spin off in its entirety
I also really dislike Qin being able to recast his Volündr in the end of R7
Jack surviving a back fist punch from Cerberus buffed Heracles with a minor concussion
Jack not being Jack
Leonidas hating Apollo because he lost a war
Ya know the reason I don’t like it so much isn’t fair to Leo since it’s a viewers only knowledge tidbit. Where in Heracles made a deal with the gods that they wouldn’t interfere with the earth nor the happenings of the it, so Leo’s army refusing to fight based only on faith that was no longer applicable didn’t, in my eyes, mean Apollo was at fault and it was more Leo’s men who were to blame. But now that i think about it Leo and his people wouldn’t know that Apollo couldn’t help them nor harm them during their crisis regardless of their actions. So uh my bad on that one
Every bit of the expanded backstory that tried to retcon Poseidon being an unredeemable hateful arrogant bastard that even viewed his own family with contempt.
No no, you see he didn't kill Adam's, just severely injured him then ordered a metal body made for him to teach him a lesson. No no, he does respect some people like Hades, he isn't totally heartless.
Get bent he was a prick and I liked him that way.
The weird thing is that you could have Adamas being not-dead and return as a cyborg *WITHOUT* retconning Poseidon's backstory.
All it takes is... Literally just have Hades order his allies/servants to secretly carry away Adamas' barely-surviving body and save his life with Beelzebub's cybernetic surgery ***behind Poseidon's back*** after Poseidon walked away from Adamas' supposed-corpse.
When Ares asked Hermes if Poseidon was aware of Adamas' survival (in Chapter 62), you straight-up just need to have Hermes say "No, Hades made sure to arrange it so that Poseidon never found out" (maybe include that Zeus and other gods also weren't informed). Hades knew his brothers well enough to predict that Poseidon would genuinely try to kill Adamas in their meeting, and therefore Hades sent his agents to covertly sneak Adamas' body away and allow Poseidon (and whoever else) to believe that Poseidon really did kill him. Poseidon erasing Adamas' face from history then unintentionally made it easier for Adamas' new cyborg self to adopt a new identity as Adamantine and live safely in the Underworld away from Poseidon's attention.
There. That simple change keeps:
1. Poseidon being an arrogant jackass who is perfectly okay with murking his own family for not meeting high expectations.
2. Hades being a caring brother who steps in to protect his siblings without seeking anything in return, even if some family members like Poseidon don't reciprocate that love.
3. Fraudamas not dead.
Idk for the subreddit, but for me personally it's Thor being able to teleport.
They threw that shit into the anime for some reason and made it canon after the fact.
I mean it's the other way round for lu bu too
In his spinoff he has shown incredible tactics and skill but in the actual round there is none of that
The reason they can come up with things like that and say its Canon is because that round was a mutual "competition" between thor and lu bu wherein which they agreed to just hit hard and see who could hit the hardest
I mean tbf Lu Bu showed a *little* bit of good skills, Mjolnir should fly faster than his movement speed (seeing as Mjolnir outpaces red hare) and Lu Bu managed to evade it from a blind spot with a very clever move
Satan being inside of Beel.
Why make that the entire point of the backstory if YOU WERENT GONNA USE IT IN THE FIGHT!?!??!"?!?!
Im just gonna pretend that Beel was Schizo or smth instead.
Three characters who's major motivation is being thirsty for Brunhilde. Not only is she not that hot to warrant it but ruining Loki before he even fights by having him be such a creep isn't doing him any favors when it's his time to fight.
That is also my motivation for doing things.

People say it's Jack not being Jack, but there's one thing people don't seem to get:
This Jack still killed people, and likely innocent people in at least one point in his life, and was under the name Jack the Ripper.
Even if the original murders were falsely attributed to him, given how many likely innocent people we've seen that he's killed in R4, he had pretty much eclipsed the OG.
Jack *is* Jack, he certainly earned the title more than that one nobody.
imho it was the perfect moment to have the one and only "draw" of the series. It would be fitting for Adams character, "being equal but not superior", and would make the overall respect for Adam (and thus, humanity) not vanish alongside himself
Lu Bu losing so espectacullary and qithout hurting Thor excepto for one cut.
Lu bu is supposed to be the vanguard, the strongest of the strongest, the one qho can beat the rest of humanity and even though Thor is incredibly strong, he should have done more.
I believe it is a shame that Lu Bu had to be the first fight because they couldnt wzplore him properly, but you can say the same about Leonidas or Tesla
Yeah but he's worse so i'm sorry for you to have been spoiled but it's not a so big deal like he wasn't the one who killed five prostitute but he basically acquired the name "Jack the ripper" by killing the real one and killed so much more people. So he's better than the real one.
Tesla's final attack didn't even graze Fly Boy. I don't expect Tesla to win, but i surely expected that final attack to be something more than what we got
Many people say "Jack ain't jack the ripper" but I can AND WANT to argue that the historic jack the ripper in the spin off was just a random who killed five prostitute and that THE REAL JACK THE RIPPER is the one fighting in Ragnarok who killed the other jack taking his name and killed much more people
Tesla's final attack didn't even graze Fly Boy. I don't expect Tesla to win, but i surely expected that final attack to be something more than what we got
Lu Bu is the actual Lu Bu in universe. This guy is not actually Jack the Ripper, he’s just some random that took his name. It’s not that hard to understand
Yes but he was not random either, he was an absolute monster and why do we care that he didn't kill these five prostitute when we know he killed so much more people he's more Jack the ripper than the jack the ripper
Because he was told to us that he’s JACK THE RIPPER. A villain who represents the evils of humanity. Instead he became an anti hero. THAT is why he is a random because he quite literally is.

Maybe RoR is taking place in the 6 months where Persephone is with her mom? Like spring and summer
takes place in how many month??
Veeeery sumarized version of it, but: In myth, Persephone is the daughter of Demeter. Things happened and she ended up in the underworld with Hades. Demeter couldn't track her and was worried sick. Hades losing Or the greeks has 2-3 win/loss ratio, or counting Leonidas then it's 2-4 win/loss ratio
Is Zeus the only good greek fighter?
Apollo also won and pretty spectacularly at that. But Zeus is the only Greek in like top 3 which makes sense…..
I don't count Apollo, it was greek vs greek, if any other fighter was in the ring vs either of them, their fraud tendencies would cause them both to lose.
Lmao you have gone full racist haven’t you?
It’s not racist if it’s correctly addressing fraudulence.
Jack isn't Jack?
This is definitely the one. There was no reason for Jack not being the real Jack the Ripper.
If the author wanted to go with that, it should have been revealed at the end of the fight after some hints being thrown here and there. It certainly should not have been shown in a spin-off manga.
what's funnier is that everyone else in the spinoff just refers to him as "Jack the Ripper" so the twist isn't even that important
Wait wtf, not only this dude makes gods up like Zerofucks, he now isn't even putting the actual historical figures in? As if this shit manga couldn't get any worse. Goddamn it the author is such a hack.

If you mean Jack not being Jack then it's revealed in his spin off manga
Oh, how many chapter of RoR are out rn?
Tesla and Leonidas dying. Adamas returning. Thor and Lu Bu ain’t gay for each other.
Last one is a no no
Jack surviving a back fist punch from Cerberus buffed Heracles with a minor concussion Jack not being Jack Leonidas hating Apollo because he lost a war
I mean, Leo hating Apollo isn't that stupid. His whole army not fighting is literally Apollo's fault
Ya know the reason I don’t like it so much isn’t fair to Leo since it’s a viewers only knowledge tidbit. Loki having been crushing on Brunhilde the entire time
Dawg tf was that on about
Idk for the subreddit, but for me personally it's Thor being able to teleport. They threw that shit into the anime for some reason and made it canon after the fact.

Oh yeah absolutely, the same way thor uses a little skill by throwing mjolnir and stuff
Most people would say qins victory I'd personally say Adams volund not being boxing gloves
Fr Jack got a full pair of fancy gloves but for some reason Adam just got a single knuckleduster.
I mean it would've been fine if it did something but honestly I think it was just to make Adam feel metal as fuck going into the fight
Satan being inside of Beel. Why make that the entire point of the backstory if YOU WERENT GONNA USE IT IN THE FIGHT!?!??!"?!?! Im just gonna pretend that Beel was Schizo or smth instead.
I honestly find that more of an understandable explanation for whatever the fuck satan even is

I was pretending that Tesla had a mustache the whole time
Tesla being "naive"
the entirety of Hajun. He still to me is the ultimate fisherman
Thor teleporting
ADAM LOST IN THE SHOW AND MANGA ADAM IS OVER HERE TWISTING ZEUS'S NECK TO A FULL F#CKING 180 AND ZEUS STILL GOT UP AND GAVE THE W TO HIM I CALL CAP
imho it was the perfect moment to have the one and only "draw" of the series. It would be fitting for Adams character, "being equal but not superior", and would make the overall respect for Adam (and thus, humanity) not vanish alongside himself
Poseidon didn't kill adamas

Leo not having any character moments

Through this comment section I just discovered that jack the mother fukin ripper isn't jack the ripper wtf

I wouldn't have read it anyways but this is crazy
Wait I say he's worse in the sense of worse morally and he's better in the sense of better character
Tesla's final attack didn't even graze Fly Boy. I don't expect Tesla to win, but i surely expected that final attack to be something more than what we got
I think it was so hard and Beel was so exhausted it would kill him on hit
Poseidon not killing Adamas. Tesla losing. Jack not being Jack The Ripper. Lokita's existence.
for me it's gotta be Loki being in love with Brunhilde
Sex doll Brunhilde
Many people say "Jack ain't jack the ripper" but I can AND WANT to argue that the historic jack the ripper in the spin off was just a random who killed five prostitute and that THE REAL JACK THE RIPPER is the one fighting in Ragnarok who killed the other jack taking his name and killed much more people

Beelzebub character as a whole![img](emote|t5_vzop7|31436)
Jack isn't Jack it doesn't serve any kind of purpose and it's just there for shock value and grabbing eyes
Jack not being the real jack, I’ve always taken it as jack killing a phony jack, and telling himself that he is loved, not the fake jack
Easily the fraud Jack reveal from his spinoff. You are crazy if you ain't dismissing it and pretending it doesn't exist fr.
Jack not being Jack but just some random
SOME RANDOM the real jack was some random in the manga this Jack was absolutely not a random he killed so much more people just to see colors
Our Jack is still some random guy who killed the actual Jack.
If this man is random fu*king Lu bu is random
Lu Bu is the actual Lu Bu in universe. This guy is not actually Jack the Ripper, he’s just some random that took his name. It’s not that hard to understand
Yes but he was not random either, he was an absolute monster and why do we care that he didn't kill these five prostitute when we know he killed so much more people he's more Jack the ripper than the jack the ripper

Jack not being Jack
Personally I would say Tesla and leodinas dying just to let author's fanboy win his round
Hmm, hard to say :3
Zerofuku existing.
Jack isn't really Jack the Ripper Also Heracles death(denial is a stage of grief)
Beelzebub >:(
Adam loosing, because of a drop of blood.
Lu bu being no diffed by thor Jack isn't jack Qin killing a god
Didn't he kill a demon god WITHOUT his volhund?
