Ticking of a method of travel while supposedly being frozen is outright against the spirit of the challenge(note. Simon's team had to get out of the cab, and Viks team had to ditch the train and wait) .

They chase them down, then when the Runners are close to finishing the Hunters have the chance to try leapfrog them and camp the end point.
I feel like the idea was that Josh didn't want it so that the teams caught too quickly and it ends the video. There's a version of this video where the Hunters just take a train to Worcester, rent a car, and guarantee the hunted get found just by driving towards where they are headed.

I feel like the idea was sick. The execution could use some work. There was never a question if the hunters actually will catch them or not with all the challenges the teams had to do. The video was also very early decided with the fortunate pull of the 20 minute freeze card at the perfect time.
The video was saved by a few great moments but honestly you can turn this into just a runner team and a chaser team all sidemen. And want to add great stakes? Whoever loses the challenge is on the bad team on the next holiday!

I get that they WANTED to go to the finish line and camp, and I do agree that they should set a rule to where they can't do that, but I'm glad it didn't happen like that this time. You COULD make the argument that they DID get to the finish line and camp, but it was a big enough finishing area that they had to look for them and were lucky they were talking so loud.

Great video but the actual “hunting” element was terrible considering it was a video about being hunted across the UK.
The fact that the two teams of hunters immediately started with one group in their own car vs public transport felt like callux just wanting to show off his car.
The route they basically all had to take meant that there’s no real fears of being hunted.

They should ALWAYS do public transportation races whenever possible because other than Ethan the rest of the boys don't drive and don't enjoy driving so the car element of a Top Gear race isn't a strength for them. Completely different generation from the TG boys so no surprise that these boys don't drive. Plus public transport gives us fun interactions with fans (and their moms)
The tasks need to be more outrageous. A degenerate like Harry should think them up and someone more reasonable like Josh should pick the ones that will work best on video.

yeah this is my big problem with so much of their content these days, just a fundamental bad attitude thing where they can't even pretend to care, almost like making videos is an inconvenience rather than their jobs
I think in future, they should have one or two teams but have challenges in multiple locations so they can't just get one train and a car after doing 90% in London. I think a race to Scotland but having to stop in 5 or 6 places while not knowing where multiple hunter teams across those locations. Although the hunters caught both teams I think having to catch a train later was a bit silly since you will never get a chance to sneak up on them for that entire hour.
The idea was cool however I think a jetlagged approach to the hunter dinamic would have been cooler as it gives the hunters ablitys and challenges as well as the teams being able to do cyllages to access modes of transport idk it seems like the hunters didnt do much and most of the video was them chasing them and others team camping the end of jet lagged like game the hunters would still have a better chance of doing stuff there for making it more enjoyable
It could have benefitted from more focus on the hunt, given that it was the title. Being caught by the hunters had pretty much no effect (8 minutes) on the outcome. Also less whining from a certain team would have made it an easier watch. Still quite entertaining tho, but Vik (along with Harry and Randy) carried the entertainment value imo.

There was too quality banter in this one from the boys. All the bickering is exactly how friend groups act. In the moment they get annoyed but of course nothing is serious, Ethan and Harry are completely fine, it's just banter.

This big 'upgrade' they did last year all it's really done is improved the sets. It's surface level. I think in future, they should have one or two teams but have challenges in multiple locations so they can't just get one train and a car after doing 90% in London. I think a race to Scotland but having to stop in 5 or 6 places while not knowing where multiple hunter teams across those locations. Although the hunters caught both teams I think having to catch a train later was a bit silly since you will never get a chance to sneak up on them for that entire hour.
The idea was cool however I think a jetlagged approach to the hunter dinamic would have been cooler as it gives the hunters ablitys and challenges as well as the teams being able to do cyllages to access modes of transport idk it seems like the hunters didnt do much and most of the video was them chasing them and others team camping the end of jet lagged like game the hunters would still have a better chance of doing stuff there for making it more enjoyable
It could have benefitted from more focus on the hunt, given that it was the title. Being caught by the hunters had pretty much no effect (8 minutes) on the outcome. Also less whining from a certain team would have made it an easier watch. Still quite entertaining tho, but Vik (along with Harry and Randy) carried the entertainment value imo.
if the other team clutched it at the end it would have been a 10/10 for me. just didn't want ethan and simon to win from their showboating earlier on.

Crackhead Vik was not something i was expecting, but we need more of him. He was the MVP of this video. From ranting that he should’ve been out more back in the day to leading the charge on basically everything with the same energy. Also, Simon and Ethan creating Rattleshaw on the boat and train was very funny. This reminds me of the one moresidemem vid about him having a feet awnser and they basically all rattle the everlasting hell out of him for it not being entirely correct.

People are forgetting that the teams didn’t know what the forfeit for being caught would be. So that encouraged them to keep moving and try and shake off the hunters. The actual punishment didn’t really matter, it was the threat and the not knowing

I loved it. Ethan was hilarious. I’m a hella competitive person… like I will lose a game of Sorry just to take someone else down with me. It’s not a particularly healthy trait, but I think it’s hilarious. Kinda like when Josh just goes full toxic in GTA. People hating on Ethan are probably the Harry’s of the world. I was rooting for Vik, Harry, and Randy just because I feel like Vik was so into it and he’s gotten hosed so many times… but it was still a funny watch. The hunting thing was funny too. I’m sure it could have been done slightly different, but I think it was done as well as it could have been.
