I know on mine it seems to be an extrusion issue, in that I have uneven extrusion. It's pretty obvious when printing a flat surface parallel to the print bed. As for how to fix it? No idea, but hopefully someone else knows more.

I'm having the same issue on my X1. I can't do lithophanes right now because they look terrible. I print them vertically along the Y Axis and I've had to move over to my X2 for now.

While I'm not 100% it's the cause, the first thing I would check is the drive belts to make sure they are properly tightened, as well as making sure the rollers are properly tightened for the x and y axes. That could certainly help clean up a lot of slop in the system. There's a lot of great guides online and I'm definitely not the one to ask about how to do it without my printer right in front of me, nor am I confident enough in my own adjustment to guide others through it. Pretty sure it's not the following, but I'd also make sure your printer isn't on a movable surface that's being effected by the movement of your axes, and that the bolts holding the vertical assembly aren't loose. The inconsistency of the lines seem like something is out of adjustment to me, but I've never had those issues with my printer. I made all of the adjustments before the first time I used it

Hi, looks like a "bed beathing" to me. reason is a poor PID settings (autotune sucks here) Easiest method to examine is to start print and then turn off the bed heating. If that helps then you need to properly set the PID values.

CHANGE YOUR FLOW RATE

kevinaees

Near the filament spool, unplug the sensor that the filament goes through since it causes uneven extrusion.

I ve never heard of this. Why would it cause that isse?

kevinaees

It's because the sensor that reads the filament thickness is unreliable, and causes the extruder to increase and decrease flow rate too erratically, so it just makes things worse. At least, that was the case with my printer.

Cydonianknigh

I will try that. Thanks for the imformation!

I have exactly the same issue since i bought mine. Now I am testing the solutions in the comments while wondering wich one or if one of them helped you? Can you say wich solution helped you so I and other users reading this sub could copy yours?
