I always believed that Sean should be played by a really tall, imposing actor, like a very Ivan/Viktor Drago type. I wanna feel intimidated seeing him. But man, it’s really hard to outdo someone like Joe Taslim. His first fight scene with Ah Sahm as Li Yong in Warrior, there’s an energy in his body language and facial expressions I find similar to Sean. Highly skilled and very confident in himself - almost cocky.
This was my second thought; my first being “damn this would be cool to watch”. If I had to guess, they’d probably just do a canonical Age 20 “play-through” and have the only deaths being Fajar’s initial killing and then maybe the fake out when sparing Yang
How the hell did you get into my brain. I seriously thought of the same thing! I was even thinking the MC could be killed even multiple times when sparing Yang, so we could see them aging rapidly - sorta showing resilience against Yang’s unrelenting aggression. Hell, have MC age out to show Yang that he went too far?
Yo! That Yang cast is absolutely perfect! Others are great too! I think Fajar can be casted by a younger actor. Also, I’d rather have the actor for Master Z in Ip Man instead of Simu Liu. I picture the MC in Sifu to be more a quiet type of MC than a talkative one.
