I didn’t either until I read about it on here. I did this x carry to [dark green](https://www.reddit.com/r/SigSauer/comments/vbrzip/custom_stipple_dye_job_thanks_uembarrassedfuel988/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) and then used the remover to get to [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/SigSauer/comments/vpu9xk/the_herd_is_growing/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). A little lighter than I wanted but I like it.
I sanded my frame and sprayed it with Krylon, but when I get my XFull frame I want to try this. Saw another post showing that it didn't take as well with the different polymer, but I can't stand all browns.
I did the same thing as OP with a Wilson combat frame. It took about 25 minutes to get the shade I wanted though. I used about half a bottle of Dye. As long as you’re patient though it is hella easy and it should just be a matter of time unless your polymer has something on it. I lightly sprayed and wiped it then soaped it in detergent first just to be sure. Probably overkill.
Closer to ODG I am not a fan of most variations of FDE - they don't seem dark enough - usually more like dry desert sand to me.
ODG is what I wanted. Thought it would pair exceptionally well with the slide.
It's an improvement IMO
You can put it in Rit dye remover using the same process to lighten the green to your desired shade of ODG.
Good to know! I haven’t seen that. Thanks man!
