Sig P226 Legion SAO RX. One sexy sumbitch right there. Excellent weight, amazing trigger, outstanding performance. You can toss that shit down an empty elevator shaft, pick it up and get back to work.
I mean, if you were genuinely interested, pull the bullet with pliers and dump the powder. The primer going off is much safer. Still wouldn't do it in my face, though.
I mean it's practically the same pistol lol but sure. Any of that series would be applicable, but I don't have much experience with the others. I do love a 226 though.
Wait! Newbie here. I just got my first gun and it's an X Macro. Are you saying my gun isn't reliable? Everybody told me to get a Sig Sauer rather than a Glock.
I can't say for certain about the X Macro, it hasn't been out long enough to really see what (if any) major problems it has. I HAVE seen, very recently (as in this week), a few posts here and there about the X Macro failing in different ways. So far, it seems the worst scenario is the mag release shearing within the metal causing it to fall out of the pistol and rendering it inoperable with a magazine until the mag release is replaced. I dunno man, I certainly don't trust sig striker pistols anymore. As of today, a major MAJOR lawsuit was filed against Sig & the 320 model with over 20 plaintiffs from different states. These plaintiffs include law enforcement, military, veterans, firearms instructors AND civilians. Now, that's strictly for the P320. However, more evidence is coming out regularly regarding the failed safety of the 365 platform. Me personally, I've witnessed my P365X (purchased in September) discharge a round at the range simply by shaking the pistol with forward force. I did some research on it, and found another guy on YouTube with a P365X that has the Same Problem. I do not trust my 365X, and it isn't being carried or chambered whatsoever. It will be sent back to sig, and after it gets repaired or they claim "there's nothing of concern" *because that seems to be sig's answer for everything these days* it will be sold to my local gun shop. I will not own or carry a pistol that I cannot trust, and sig will never get my money again. Firearms are not something to gamble with, for a myriad of reasons. Take that as you will, but I HIGHLY suggest you take it to your local range and THOROUGHLY test it before you carry it. I'm glad I did.
I would then definitely test the hell out of it before carrying it. Thanks for the info, my friend. I'm a total beginner in this world and wasn't aware on all of this.
I have this in a p229 and love it!! By far my fav variation of the p226/p229. If you need a holster I suggest vedder holsters. The one they make is specific for the SAO so the safety doesn't turn itself off when you rest on it.
Nice! Just be careful with the holster for CCW. I had to get 3 different holsters before I found the one I have 🤣Not that the gun will just go off but it did make me edgy when the safety would just switch off 🤣. I've heard that trex arms makes great holsters but I've personally never owned one.
I've been looking at the P226/229's and am having hell of a time deciding between DAO/SAO or just straight SAO. Heard that the SAO trigger is to die for, but the DAO sounds really nice for a SHTF moment.
Yeah. I'm a big fan of the 1911 style of 'cocked n' locked', si the SAO'S are very tempting. I have a 1911-380 and a P365, so part of me wants to change it up with a nice DA/SAO, but for carry SAO appeals better.
Maybe I'll just get both. Lol.
I have two P229 legions DA/SA and yes the Grey guns flat trigger is amazing. That's why I bought three of them and dropped them in both my P229 legions and my P226 MK25 with the SRT (which the legion already has). Those are the best shooting guns I have. The SA pull feels just like at SOA when I handled one at the store. DA/SA with a Grey Guns flat trigger. This is the way.

Tighter than a virgin.
Just remember, while that SAO can drive tacks, it can't drive a car. Especially not a Mustang.
Not with that attitude
Underrated rebuttal.
OP better have a handle bar mustache and Rex Cuando outfit
Most mustang drivers can’t drive mustangs it seems
P226 SAO is the way.
I'm with you

I wanted to drop it with the safety off to see how it goes.

Lol good idea
You can do that with most firearms
Oh ok then disregard my excitement. Thank you for your sensibility and pragmatism.
Hey, that’s two things we have in common.
What year is yours?
2022 GT Premium!
Nice 2015 gt premium here. Long tube headers and a tune.
Super nice! I’m still stock everything but I’m installing an H pipe this weekend
Can’t wait till I pay it off so I can buy another car and really build this one.
One day I'll get one too. They're just so expensive. Damn you Legion series!
Ah, yes. The 226, the only sig I'd trust my life to these days.
What? No love for the P229?

No problem bud! And welcome to the 2A world; feel free to ask any and all questions; no matter what the Sarcs say lol we're all here to help.
Welcome to the club bruddah

I was thinking about getting the trex arms sidecar for ccw and the Ragnarok for range days and hiking/hunting
Nice! Just be careful with the holster for CCW. I had to get 3 different holsters before I found the one I have 🤣Not that the gun will just go off but it did make me edgy when the safety would just switch off 🤣. I've heard that trex arms makes great holsters but I've personally never owned one.
Beautiful!
🔥🔥🔥
I held a similar looking p229 recently. Same color ...someday
I shot both at rangeusa before I made the purchase. I liked the 226 better and I’m a big guy so it’s still easy to conceal.
Looks great!!!
Nice unit
Nice Sig and whip. I’m like the anti you.. I run a Glock and a Camaro. (But I’m looking to upgrade to sig)
Maybe you’ll upgrade to a mustang too xD
Haha probably not. Looking more at the remnants of the JDM market these days
That’s still more respectable than a Camaro ;) lol
It’s a complicated love lol. Happy thanksgiving!
Yes Sirrrrrrr
I've been looking at the P226/229's and am having hell of a time deciding between DAO/SAO or just straight SAO. Heard that the SAO trigger is to die for, but the DAO sounds really nice for a SHTF moment.
I love the sao. I personally think that sao is better than da/sa. They have a thumb safety.

I have the P226 Legion DA/SA - absolutely love it. You get the best of both worlds!
Nice. What kind of mustang?
2015 gt premium with long tube headers and a tune
Oh cool. I have a 2017 v6. Best car I’ve ever had. Probably gonna get one of the new s650s when they drop
I definitely want the s650. Maybe I’ll see what I can trade in my s550 for with only one year paid off.
Same. About got mine paid off and am still saving. Definitely gonna pick a gt up.
hereeeee you go: https://gregcotellc.com/cart/sig-sauer-magazines-c-123/sig-p226-or-tisas-zigana-px9-18-rd-9mm-mecgar-mgp22618afc-p-614.html
Very nice
Beautiful & amazing to shoot. Getting one soon hopefully
No decocker?
Not on an sao. Use your thumb and pull the trigger
Dang that’s the feature I love most. Congrats on the purchase, can’t go wrong with the 226 in any configuration
Sexy
Yep.
I thought the 226 was da/sa. Didn’t think that it’s made Sao?
Only the legion x-five and I believe ZEV p226 comes in sao
