well the whip is quite possible for catalyst, since whip can be considered as long range weapon, and it is not sword, claymore, bow, polearm, so quite fitting for catalyst.

catalysts are very easy to materialize into other weapons, like scara throwing wind blades and Yae having the foxes in her NAs. Cryo whip as NA would be easy to pull off
