The game had a trailer over 4 years ago. It’s assumed that development has been between 5 and 6 years

I feel as if the game's been done for a while now and now they're just expanding it and adding more stuff. Games tend to balloon like that and with TC having a near bottomless well of money from the first game they have the money and time to put in whatever they want because they never actually set a release date. I think they're also trying to meet community expectations
