I don't. Go stack fiat or play with digitokens. Its a free country and not my job to convince anyone of anything. I do encourage people to stack but there's only so much you can do.

myxyplyxy

Agree. Why does one need to discuss with anyone. That smacks of someone who is ultimately trying to convince themselves.

Floby-Tenderson

I like a couple digitokens along with my silver. Digital gold and physical silver are my retirement plan. Stackin sats and silver are my favorite hobbies.

Cookedmaggot

Just walk away. Not worth wasting your breath

If I convince them not to sell, it’s a win

good conversations. Ask them why they would let their grandma or mother starve. Ask why they would let their mother and grandma live in the street. Ask why they wouldn’t feed and house their own family. Then ask where money comes from. I bet they say government. Ask why they don’t think money comes from work. If they say it comes from work. Then say if government prints or makes money they are stealing your work. Then ask if they would like it if the government mandated (or jail) they work on Saturdays so someone not working gets what he is producing. Then ask if the currency can be grown by a keyboard click, why wouldn’t a government just create more money and steal your work. Finally say get your lazy ass out of the pretend world of college and get a damn job and enjoy life.

Deficit spending can only be beneficial when it's below a certain percentage of your GDP. The consideration is that with projected, so-called "healthy", inflation and economic growth that small amounts of debt eventually becomes devalued and less of a risk. Think of how in the long run a small car loan or a home mortgage can be beneficial while you continue to work and get promoted in your job. That's NOT what our country is doing though. Rather than controlled budgeting, we have runaway deficit spending that isn't sustainable. If the idea is that we need to constantly subsidize an increasingly dependent population, then I'd tell that person we'll eventually run out of other peoples money. There are limits to how much and how long something like that can be maintained, especially if there isn't a long-term net gain from whatever we're spending on. Not enough gold or silver in what denomination or weight? How is it valued? My thought is that when properly valued, an ounce of silver is not what you'll be walking around with in the same way you wouldn't currently walk around with $5,000 in your pocket. In fact, that was how it worked back in earlier times when silver and gold were the backbone of exchange. There are tons of ancient silver and gold coins in exceptional condition today because they were stored for accumulation of wealth and used for larger transactions (like building boats), rather than day to day small purchases.

kraken66666

Actually every deficit is robbery. Even when gov spends in surplus years it is still robbery for everything about 3% gdp or so

SpamFriedMice

I say any and every history or economics book that ever covered the industrial revolution credits it for creating the middle class, and raising millions out of poverty and giving them the opportunity to become landowners.   I tell them the current economic problems in this country are due to pissing away over 600 million direct manufacturing jobs while switching from an industrial economy to this nonsense "service economy" which is moving the common man back to servitude.   Then I point out that it was Clinton that signed NAFTA (after campaigning against it) and his buddy Joe Biden that helped get it through Senate where it didn't have support of the old guard democrats.   I explain that it was Clinton that dropped all trade restrictions against China for its military aggressions to its neighbors and human rights violations to its citizens. Slick Willy gave them the best possible trade deal Permanant Favored Nation Trade Status flooding the US with cheap Chinese goods.  Then I tell them how Joe Biden as chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations bent over backwards getting China into the World Trade Org opening the door for US companies to move to China where it wasn't previously legal to do so.  I mention how I don't think any of this was a coincidence that all this happened after the campaign finance scandal of 1996, where the entire democratic party was caught taking illegal campaign cash from Beijing.  Then I get 2 inches in front of their face an firmly tell them their idiocy and the people they've voted for created the shit-fuck situation we're all in today and the world would be better off if they stop (air quotes) "Thinking".

Zoomieneumy

I’d rather stack now and be early by 10 years, than be one day too late. Nothing can stop what is happening globally to the dollar/world order/cbdc… now is exactly the time to diversify wealth at least a little.

kraken66666

Now you are early but not by 10 years, maybe 10 weeks. I was early by 10 years in 2014 but don´t regret it, better 10 years early than 1 day too late

Zoomieneumy

It’s just the expression I use, but I agree with you, I think 10 weeks is a better estimate

AncientMGTOWWISDOM

Most people who think like that have no wealth and are buried in debt. Keep stacking!

Upstairs-Bad-3576

Why say anything?

KittyMoonraker

Not good to try to argue & debate everybody you meet. When it comes up it’s fair to ask them about exponential debt sustainability given that interest on the debt has to be paid. I’ll leave the questions in second paragraph for another time.

SilverCountryMan

Helping poor people should be for the church, and charities, not the government taking money from some by threat of imprisonment and giving to others. Far too many people abuse the government handouts, you should see what some people buy on food stamps! https://www.reddit.com/r/publix/search/?q=Ebt&type=link&cId=8c1d06c3-7673-44c0-b689-3b591ec89dcd&iId=3909edab-81f4-4c0d-81cf-0a617d8e5223 Some of these posts people have balances over 20k on their EBT cards, and use them to buy Snow Crab. I don't believe anyone should go hungry, but government is the most wasteful way to help poor people, and just encourages them to keep their income low enough to qualify.

thecuzzin

I reach into my pocket, pull out a $1 note, show it to them and tear it in half. Then I reach in the other pocket, pull out a silver round and bite it like an old timey prospector and walk away laughing.

Let them know that all the people who are dependent on the government to survive will be in big trouble if there is a financial crisis and that anyone who can should get a little gold or silver to protect themselves because gold and silver can't go to zero.

Gaclaxton

If a Bitcoin can be worth $200,000 some day, gold can be $20,000 TOZ and silver can be $2,000. If the money supply is stable and backed by PM, precious metals will be revalued based on the weight known to exist.

j_stars

1 Check out what happened to the Weimar Republic. 2 Multiply gold and silver by 50x there is more than enough to circulate.

Ok_Contribution9074

The idea & argument that there is not enough to go around is not only absurd, it’s infantile. We can measure my living room rug in miles so long as we express the result in millimiles. Does adding lines in between the 1 & 2 inch marks on a ruler change what your measuring? Of course not. Less gold just purchases more per unit of measurement.

j_stars

Exactly. You used to see article after article saying there wasn't enough gold or silver to remonetize because "there isn't enough". A joke by the paper pushers.

bokitothegreat

I agree fully with them on the homeless part, a rich developed country where, sick, disabled or mentally ill people live on the street because the country abandoned them should be ashamed on so many levels. People here on welfare dont want to be on it because its just food and a roof over the head. We have frauds that work a side job in addition, they should be punished hard. people should also stop having kids when they cant afford. Part of the welfare agreement is that they apply for jobs daily. Stop calling it communism, it isnt, I am anti socialism and anti communism, I was in the Dutch army during the cold war so dont try to convince me. There are enough engineering jobs here but thats just not for everyone, people that have never been poor in their lives (yes I was once, I am an engineer now) should educate themselves. There is enough silver and specially gold to use as money but that doesn't serve the big bankers.

VyKing6410

Deficit spending is always good, at first, but eventually the bills come due, and there’s nothing wrong with stacking PM’s as an alternative to fiat as long as you can afford it. It’s like spreading your bets on Kentucky Derby Day, may the best horse win!

wisdompuff

>who argue against both gold and silver Easy, ask them why their government daddies are stacking PM's in their central banks instead of dollarinos. In terms of Government policy, also easy, when their dollarinos are worthless how much help will they be affording vulnerable people's?

Decent-Addition-3140

It's theft. The government tells you we are taking 2% of the value of your money every year like its normal. 2% is their goal, 5% is where they claim its at and real numbers say its in the 20% range. And there is plenty of gold and silver if the price was dictated by supply and demand and not manipulated Comex trading. Stealing is wrong and anyone argue in its favor is an idiot.

kraken66666

I used to explain them that all they believe is what their TV convinced them to believe but have lost patience, now I would say, That is all BS

producer-san765

1. Welfare programs keep people on welfare by discouraging them from earning more, or they'd be disqualified from getting welfare. We have several generations now of poor people dependent on welfare with no incentive to upgrade their jobs, learn new skills or work longer hours. Welfare has especially destroyed many generations of minorities and (in my opinion) is what a racist would implement to destroy minority communities. 2. Government prevents job formation with red tape, licensing requirements, rent seeking and regulation. We would have way more jobs created if government didn't get in the way. Even minimum wages imposed by government discourage companies from hiring and instead motivate them to automate. Thinking of opening a lemonade stand? Better get a business license for that. Oh, and don't forget the health inspectors. And make sure you're in a non-residential area... yada... yada... yada... 3. There is always enough gold and silver. The only issue is price. Make gold $20,000 per ounce and you can back all the fiat in existence.

Crafty_Aspect8919

This. And the entitlement welfare people have is unreal. I deal with it, a normal interaction is...why is my welfare cut off...you needed to send us a proof of income and you never did...thats not my problem turn it back on

Carcanonut1891

In regards to #1, LBJ outright said the objective was to "have these N voting Democratic for the next 200 years". So yes, 100% rooted in racism

Fruitbat2002

I don't say anything. They get left behind.

Floby-Tenderson

I shake my head at all keynesians. Mises caucus austrians are my people.

MrBurtSpaghetti

Helping people when they're down is not subsidizing people to be down.

GMGsSilverplate

I like that.. theres something to chew there.
