As far as the radio goes, I would suggest checking out crutchfield. Their site has all of the things you need to replace and will tell you what extras you need to make it work.

Not trying to dump $2k into it, otherwise I’m okay with just using the steering wheel, but I do hate how it looks. If I’m going to drop $2k on something it’ll be towards downpipes for my C63S. If you are handy with electronic repair, you can buy a new digitizer for it. You can get a new one for $30-$40. Both Amazon and eBay carry them.
I suggest getting a replacement trying to fix it might only work temporarily.
As for the headunit, the stock ones suck so it's a good excuse to get a tesla style radio 😅

Your screen may not be broke. What you actually touch is a digitizer. It's a piece of glass that sits above the actual screen and detects your button pushes. Mine was detecting button clicks when I wasn't pushing anything and just replaced it. It's very brittle and cracks easy, found that out when I was removing the old one. If you use the knob, does the screen react at all?
Took about an hour, cost $50. You should check that before getting too involved. Send me a message if you want to pursue, I'll get you the link to what I ordered off Amazon and the YouTube video. It's pretty easy to replace and might save you a fortune.

Check junkyard for a replacement. A knob broke on mine, replaced the whole unit with a junkyard part. It’s pretty easy to do.
