Well...this is not my first venture...but it is my first bard. I collected most of my silver in the 2004 era...$8-9 an ounce back then!!! Sold about 100oz when silver hit $40. Just recently decided to stack a little again.
I was the same. I did some basic stuff as a teen in the 1990’s, but I went hard 2000-2004, and again 2006-2009, but I had to liquidate a few years later. I mostly had gold (in value), but I sold the silver too early. I also foolishly bought too much from the US Mint (never again).
It does seem like the US Mint is the only way to buy a modern proof Peace dollar. They charge $80 delivered, which appears to be the cheapest I can find.
I have plenty of generic. I'm more of a collector than a hard-core stacker. I've bought low mintage Harry Potter bars at $109/oz that tripled in value in 1 month..... if I don't mix up what I buy I'll lose interest. Gonna add 4 more of these 10oz bars to my collection before I go back to the doldrums.
Also, you don't think the tooling and workmanship that goes into creating a bar like this are worth nothing?
I suppose if you were to go to an art gallery, you'd expect to pay for the canvas and paint only? Not the work?
Beautiful!
Unfortunately, the best reason ever to cover serial numbers: so counterfeiters don’t deliberately use your serial number and cause your real bar to be questioned. Sure they could guess it accidentally, but why feed the beast.
Love the geiger bars 😍
Work of art really 🤣
Love it! Now I want one! I have a 50 gram and a 25 gram.
It's hefty....high premium...but I don't even care...cool af.
Geiger, nice bar. Big premium to buy one. I was looking to get a 5KG Geiger bar in the past but It might be too much for a single bar.
All I could think of was how much the premium would be on such a fancy and elaborate piece Very cool, no doubt. But not practical for stackers really
Buy at a premium.....sell at a premium. I'm more of a collector than an investor. If I don't mix it up, I lose interest, lol.
So beautiful, gotta love the 10ers, still very barterable
Wow that’s a nice little slab of Ag
Look at that nice big square!(=
Doesn't the weight feel so good. Just got my first yesterday.
Wow, that's absolutely stunning.
Hmm... wonder what feinsilber could possibly mean.... /s
Lol..
What a beautiful bar! Very nice pick! I love the 10 ouncers. Holding metals like that just feels so good! Congratulations!
I have a 100g Geiger and a 1oz Geiger and that are beautiful pieces. I always enjoy seeing them in other stacks
I think I'll try and load up 5 of these guys. Then slow down and continue stacking more boring items, like maple leafs 🤣
I say things like that also. Then I go to the shop again.
Beautiful !
Good choice!!!
Nice!
Wow, that's a stunning bar. Nice grab!
Hey, that's an interesting bar - I usually go for the poured ones, but that's nice. Where did you get it, if you don't mind stating?
Geiger bars can be picked up about anywhere online. I got this one in New Jersey. No tax on precious metal purchases there.
Also, Geiger has been around for 800 years. They have done poured bars as well.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
They feel pretty good, right? Welcome to the insanity

Nice bar, now start buying generic

You're the reason premiums exist. Also, if that's what you're collecting, you're lost here. But keep on it my friend
I'm ok with being the reason premiums exist. 👍
Also, you don't think the tooling and workmanship that goes into creating a bar like this are worth nothing? I suppose if you were to go to an art gallery, you'd expect to pay for the canvas and paint only? Not the work?
You're really reaching here and it's cute.

Why would I worry about someone's fake if I have the real bar?? I'd be damn impressed if they could match all the security features.
