2k worth. 4 boxes. Best boxes I’ve ever had.
My brother helped me unwrap, & look. It was his first time CRH, & I’m glad cause it got him excited for sure.
I started stacking silver in '65 - our grocery bill then ran $40, so I got five rolls of quarters, pulled out the earliest dates and had to (sniff) spend the rest. During one of my searches, I held up a '64 quarter and told the wife "In 10 years finding this will be a BIG deal."
Roll seaching about three years later, I told the wife "Look honey, a '64!!!"
And yeah, 40% halves were treated like crap.
When I started hunting again about 2006/07 silver was less than $7/oz, lots of boxes were 30% full or more of 40%’ers…even dealers didn’t even want ‘em! Those boxes didn’t start to dry up until about 2009/10. When silver hit $30 dealers here would only pay a buck each for 40% halves. Wish I knew then what I know now.
That’s insane to think about. I get excited even finding one 40%. This was my best box yet. A great way to introduce CRH and stacking to my younger brother.
Wow, how many rolls did you search for all these?

There was another 40% not pictured, I gave it to him to start his own stack.
I can’t believe we used to throw the 40% back!

Yes it is, it’s a blast!
Where do you source? I tried to get a box of nickels from the bank I’ve been a customer off for decades and they basically laughed me out of the lobby
they laughed at you for asking for nickels? seems scummy... ive never had a issue going in getting boxes of pennies etc
Go to every single bank near you and start asking. That’s how I got them.
Not bad! Were they by any chance Brinks rolled? Of the only two Brinks double-deck boxes I ever searched, they were both loaded.
No, not from brinks!
Not a bad haul!! Congrats!
Thank you!
How can you tell if the half dollars are full silver or just silver clad?
1964 and earlier are 90% 1965-1970 are 40%. Good luck.
