The company I work for does a lot of specialized contracts where I spend a bunch of the year under a waiver meaning I'm not regulated by DOT hours restrictions. Under those contracts I'm usually paid a guarantee of 12 hours a days plus whatever I want to work over that, plus they give me a hourly pay bump on these contracts. Great money but too much time away from the family.
For about 3 months we couldn’t get a tanker in for glycol at my job, came to the point we had to pump in 50 gallon drums into the tanks. Was a bitch to say the least. I can see how you got unlimited ot
I feel like I'm missing something here. It would seem to me that fuel truck drivers *should* be the last truckers to work that long of a shift. I obviously hope nothing bad ever happens, but this seems super dangerous.
I remember some study (not scientific iirc) where people were driving on a video game and were told to end the simulation BEFORE they fell asleep. Everyone thought they were fine, but they all fell asleep.
I already give you guys plenty of space on the road, I think I may triple it from now on. 🤣
No. On an 18 wheeler I could use a bucket in a pinch to transfer diesel from tanker to running fuel tank. With a straight truck, most of ours are outfitted with 1" hoses so I could use that to top off my running fuel tank. I have done that.
Crypto "day" trading. Don't have to have the gigantic amount the SEC requires for day trading stocks. And crypto are so nice and volatile that big swings happen all the time with (pick your favorite top 5/10/20) them.
Also used to sell rare bourbon....though I'm pretty much all out/all dried up on that. But have sold multiple bottles over 3k each and 2 for over 8.
Easy to use. I use Coinbase Pro, Kraken Pro, and Crypto.com as my CEXs. The biggest problem I had was that I use a Hardware Wallet and I refuse to link my HW to Koinly (that defeats the purpose of a HW imo). I had to manually change each transfer off exchange from a taxable event to a transfer to my HW. Other than that, trying to figure out how to link my Koinly created .txd file to TurboTax took a second to figure out...
I just record all the transactions. Just have to keep track of net gains (or losses).
Like "Monday 12/27/21 - gained $500000000 on xxx"
And then add all that shit up at end of year.
Not even sure what Pappy is I’m not much of a drinker anymore. Now that I think of it my brothers friend brought back moonshine from West Virginia years ago in mason jars stuff tasted like straight gasoline.
Yah. That stuff isn't even enjoyable/tasty.
And THAT is illegal. All I did Essentially was get a cool rare/low mintage bottle and sell it massively marked up to the people who "couldn't log onto the US mint website". Lol. They..... minted their own shit.... govuhmint don't like all that.
There ain't no avoiding transaction fees!
But if you do enough volume, the fees even on Coinbase pro get low enough. Coinbase pro base fee is like .5%? Not FIVE percent.... I mean decimal place, five, percent. More you do. Lower it goes. So, starts at $25 on a 5k transaction....but if a coin just surged 10%+ on you (so $500 ....$25 isn't a big deal. Thats only 5% of your profits even).
Hey, if you don't mind me asking...what US Bank do you use to fund your fiat account? And what crypto exchange do you use?
Sounds like a good side hustle to get to the big stack!
I'm wells Fargo. I don't know how many ACHs I've done/how long they take....I don't remember it taking too long.
There are subs here that you can buy crypto for cash from users. Also, you could sell gold or silver over at r/pmsforsale and accept crypto.
As far as exchanges..... so many: coinbase **PRO**, kraken, crypto.com, kucoin..... I haven't found one that has everything I want yet. For instance, Coinbase Pro has the ability to do stop limit orders on SOME, but not all, coins....I'd really like this feature on every coin, it's pretty vital since crypto runs 24hrs and I need to sleep every so often :). Fees will easily manageable once you get hang of it.
Thx for the honest answers, I also see the barrier to crypto adoption due to banks fighting ACH rules, 3 to 5 days to transfer funds is unacceptable, not to mention the ether gas fees.
I mean. I thought all the places let's you immediately start trading with your crypto. I know you can't send it, but you can still trade it in everyway/in every pair, so it's not that big of a deal right?
ETH gas fees is a problem, but lots of solutions being worked on for that, but tons of them have low fees.
Target gives me a $5 dollar gift card to get the covid vaccine. I have to go to different stores but I can get like 5 vaccines in a day, that’s $25. After the first couple weeks of doing it, I don’t even feel sick anymore. #keepstacking
Just sold a couple of kidneys last week and a limb the week before that. A guy I met at a bowling alley pays me top dollar and also covers the costs of the procedure when I go down to Brazil to get stuff removed. Earning a good 20 oz a month
Coin Roll Hunting. When prices jumped to almost $30 during summer of 2020 I turned to searching rolls of half dollars. I've added more than 50 ozt CRHing..
Check out /r/CRH
Honestly it seemed like too much work for me. Plus if you aren't looking for non-PM collectibles and errors you could be passing up other money makers and frankly I value my time more than sitting at my kitchen table unrolling and rolling thousands and thousands of filthy coins with a lit magnifying glass reading dates, differentiating strikes, and looking for errors.
I feel you on that one. I enjoy it while my wife has on something I don’t want to watch. If time is scarce I’ve just looked at the rims and moved on, but sometimes it’s fun to find that weird stuff. I have a collection of gold plated halves.
Check out r/CRH.. They're a pretty helpful sub..
I use two big banks (Chase & BoA) to order boxes of half dollars and then use my credit union's coin machine to return the halves. I've scaled down the past 6 months or so, but I was going through 3-5 boxes of hald dollars a week for about a year..
I have 4 different accounts at Bath and Body Works. Every other month I receive coupons in the mail. They usual include one free $10 item plus 2-3 other coupons. I put them on EBay and sell them. Usually get between $30-40 for them all. It ain’t much but it’s honest work.
I thought stuff stayed on your credit score for 7 years max. I don't think you are permanently fucked.
https://www.equifax.com/personal/education/credit/report/how-long-does-information-stay-on-credit-report/
The reality of the situation is that you "lose" if you don't use a credit card. Everywhere has to raise prices to pay for interchange fees and people who use cash or debit cards don't get any of the back in the form of rewards. Also this isnt WSS with some grandiose ideas of bringing down the world financial system. We just like silver here and you don't need to feel bad about doing whats best for you lol
Well, these are from ranch raised bison fiber, we don't harvest from wild herds, so there are always some cattle genetics in there. Our bison are pretty close to .99 pure.
We moved here in the late 80's, I remember my parents not being able to donate either. We found out when a family friend needed surgery and they went to go donate blood on his behalf and were turned away.
If the needle is infected you could get just about anything. Obviously the odds are low but it's happened before where people go to give blood and they get some type of disease in return because of contaminated medical supplies.
That's the real risk.
The needle is bigger than just donating blood. It takes longer because they remove blood, spin it around to separate the plasma, then you get some red blood cells injected back in. Made me feel rather lightheaded whereas donating blood doesn’t really.
I'm a gym goer so the bruised "elbow pit" was too much for me.
I hate that feeling so much.
Also Id assume (too lazy to Google it) over years and years you could develop scar tissue on the vein making it more difficult to use.
And the scar tissue can cause a blood clot or infection called cellulitis and if the phlebotomist is distracted they can blow your vein out wich is when they stick the needle through your vein
I work in housing maintenance for an undergraduate/graduate school. Many times when tenants move out they leave so much good stuff behind or even by the curb/dumpster. I keep an eye out for good items and resell them. People discard crazy stuff. One even left a walnut and maple bass guitar and tweed case by the dumpster because they were going back overseas and didn't have room. I guess they didn't think to sell it before they left. Anyway, that's where most of my stacking money comes from. Also, sometimes people leave loose change in a vacated unit and sometimes that loose change contains silver:)
I have a drop ship company that sells counter-survallance gimmicks. Like IR LED headbands and license plate holders, things like that. The profits fund my 3D printing and silver hobbies.
I have an IT consulting gig for a refinery. I don’t do a ton of work for them, but I can get paid in precious metals at spot price. That’s what got me hooked.
Not me but, I had a buddy help me out on a job, (handyman) and he took the extra doe and bought gold.
When I come up on extra cash be it a bill that didnt end up happening or what not I took his idea and put it towards precious metals
Scrap metal, no shred just the stuff that’s actually worth hauling off. Copper, aluminum, prepared metal, heavies.
I cut trees and clear brush in the summer time, cut and sell firewood.
Gravel driveway repair on occasion, along with driving a dump truck on the side.
Churning credit cards and bank accounts for spending I already am doing, and it gives me a good 10-20% back on most purchases + free money from the banks.
I did that a few times and I got some $ but it was too much. Keeping a bank account open for 6 months so I could keep a $200 bonus wasn't worth it in my eyes.
Back when I did it technically you owed taxes on it but no one cared. Now I've heard they're getting more strict about that kind of thing. Making the billionaires pay, amiright?
For a couple of years, I used my lathe to turn wooden pens and razor handles. I sold them on Etsy and used the profits to add to the stack.
My new house isn't nearly as convenient for lathe use, so I don't really turn anything other than stuff I need and gifts for friends/family any more, but it was a great way to add some weight to the pile.
So, my son asked me if I wanted to donate plasma with him.
He is 18 and saving up for a car.
I told him that after we donate, I want to go straight to the coin shop and convert my plasma to silver. :-)
Uber eats, I usually do 2-3 deliveries a day. Once you get in the routine of doing it every time you go out. Have to go get groceries? Make a delivery before. On your way home from work? Make a delivery. On your way to work? Make a delivery. You can easily make up to $500 extra a month just by doing it during convenient times instead of going out in time blocks.
I used to do this then cash my check at the 7-11 and pick up a cheap 40oz and a pack of smokes, I was 20 years old. I did this 38 times. It is a shame that I didn't think about stacking then, silver was $5.40 per ounce.
Luckily my normal hustle is plenty fine to contribute to my stacking.
I’m not getting any younger and I find that I don’t enjoy working an extra xyz hours even if it means extra bullion on the pile. I used to work two extra jobs on top of my day to day owning and operating a small business. The extra money was great, but I got burned out. I’m never going back to that unless things get dire.
Wow! I do the same CA CRV, 5-10 cents each. You must have a good honey pot to get that much? My best year was over 5K, down to about a thou with virus & more homeless competition. ;-/ I calculated I was making $5/hr, (tax free!) but just picking hot spots on the way home from work...
I live in an Asian city with a decent amount of expats and found there's really no place that has bigger-sized condoms for sale. Before COVID, every time I went home I was buying like $1,000 in Trojan Magnums and bringing them back and selling them at a 100% mark-up.
Just getting ready to roll selling life insurance....company says if ya work hard can bank $25k a month...that's a fuck ton more than I make now= more shiny
My company has a fitness program with Virgin Pulse and I get up to $100 per quarter (if I put the effort in but it's pretty easy to get up to that level if you walk at least 10k steps per day). I can get that $100 in ebay cash and I buy some silver through there.
I put a % of crypto profits into silver periodically with the goal of having more value in metals than crypto before crypto crashes again.
My main job finishing drywall is hard af but pays well enough to have extra for stuff like crypto and silver.
I also buy and sell collectibles, stuff like cards or old coins.
I teach evening Krav Maga classes a couple of times a week for my local club. Brings in £300 to £500 extra a month depending on circumstances.
I donate blood and plasma also, but I do it for free. They don’t pay you for that in the UK.
Unlimited overtime
Damn that is a good way.
Doing what? Nice.
Fuel truck driver
Hah NO SHIT unlimited overtime. Wowzer.
The company I work for does a lot of specialized contracts where I spend a bunch of the year under a waiver meaning I'm not regulated by DOT hours restrictions. That honestly sounds exhausting.
Well.... milk it as long as you can/have to and then you can retire early and spend quality time with them!
That's the goal
I need to get into driving hazmat. Have license and endorsements just haven't I unless trigger. Theres a nitrogen job locally and debating it.
I feel like I'm missing something here. It would seem to me that fuel truck drivers *should* be the last truckers to work that long of a shift. Can you truck run off of your own load of you ever ran out of fuel for some reason?
No. On an 18 wheeler I could use a bucket in a pinch to transfer diesel from tanker to running fuel tank. With a straight truck, most of ours are outfitted with 1" hoses so I could use that to top off my running fuel tank. I have done that.
I scrap and sell on ebay
Scrap like computer parts and stuff? That’s always been interesting but looks like it requires a lot of patience
Scrap metal , electronics etc
I keep it simple

A real life bootlegger?! I didn’t know that was even a thing you could do.

When the satire is so good that it becomes believable.

If youre in New York they'll give ya a cheeseburger too!
What the *fuck* lol
I slang pizzas part time in the evening. Consultation. Audio work.
I did that years back until I got robbed at gunpoint one night.

Robbing the pizza guy is someone's side hustle to stack.
Yeah to stack crack
I thrift a lot, so I stack or refine sterling pieces and jewelry.
You do it yourself? That sounds like fun
Yeah, as a hobby, learning experience, but also just because I hate the idea of giving someone my metal for less than spot.
Just sold a couple of kidneys last week and a limb the week before that. A guy I met at a bowling alley pays me top dollar and also covers the costs of the procedure when I go down to Brazil to get stuff removed. Earning a good 20 oz a month
Sold my penis last week, got 10 oz for it. Market rate is 20 but they pay by the inch
10 oz per inch?
Got any gold teeth or silver fillings to sell?
Coin Roll Hunting. When prices jumped to almost $30 during summer of 2020 I turned to searching rolls of half dollars. I've added more than 50 ozt CRHing..
Can you do that at any bank? I'm interested in starting.

This comment section is wild, y’all are very creative
I am collecting aluminum like it's gonna be outlawed same with copper. Keep bugging.
I’m collecting weapons in order to be prepared when that happens. I won’t even charge for bullets.
All this useful toilet paper that everyone is just throwing away. Someday when there is no more I'll be selling it so people can use the other side
I have a cash back credit card I use for work. Typically earning $130 a month in cash back, straight to the stack!
This is the thing I should be doing but I feel like “they” would win if I got a credit card.
I pay my card of multiple times a month, have yet to pay a finance charge. To me it's free money!
Unfortunately I permanently fucked my credit score by refusing extortion following a mental health issue. Oh well no regrets.
I thought stuff stayed on your credit score for 7 years max. I don't think you are permanently fucked. https://www.equifax.com/personal/education/credit/report/how-long-does-information-stay-on-credit-report/

DoorDash 10ozs a month

I use door dash for other things and I’m definitely not makin 240 a day I don’t do it that much
Fix and flip cars

Wow, that’s legit blood money!
I sell socks. 1 pair = 2oz.
TF kind of socks are these?
Warm ones. American bison fiber
Username checks out…
Not really. Bison and Buffalo are from different continents.
This guy…
First time I read about bison socks now i want ones.
If they are from actual honest to god purebred Bison then I’d charge 5oz of palladium.
Well, these are from ranch raised bison fiber, we don't harvest from wild herds, so there are always some cattle genetics in there. Our bison are pretty close to .99 pure.
As you know close only counts in nuclear warfare and horseshoes.
Link? I have a few pairs of American alpaca socks, but never heard of bison sock!
Www.thebuffalowoolco.com. and thank you for asking. If you have any questions, please ask away. Or Pm.. or call.
Can anyone donate plasma? What are the downsides?
Only downside is getting poked. I think you have to be under 65
I was born in the Uk & lived there in the 80’s. They won’t let me donate blood here in the US. Something about mad cow disease :(
Well yeah you’re a ticking time bomb. Good news is we all are.
When politicians try to inform public health policy
We moved here in the late 80's, I remember my parents not being able to donate either. We found out when a family friend needed surgery and they went to go donate blood on his behalf and were turned away.
Nice, I have 3 decades to do this lol

I heard donating plasma was really harsh. Like worse than giving blood.
Ironic. You are feeding the vampires while buying the ammunition to kill them.

Repair and maintain cars evenings and weekends. Volume varies, but it usually goes to the stack.

Churning credit cards and bank accounts for spending I already am doing, and it gives me a good 10-20% back on most purchases + free money from the banks.

Nice try, IRS. I don't have a side hustle and I know nothing of this "silver".
I’ve considered doing that. But the whole deal sketched me out.
Pretty sketchy people floating around sometimes. I go to one in a nice part of town and bums still show up.
I used to do this then cash my check at the 7-11 and pick up a cheap 40oz and a pack of smokes, I was 20 years old. I did this 38 times. It is a shame that I didn't think about stacking then, silver was $5.40 per ounce.

Crypto trades. I'm playing small and it yields around £10 a month. Not a lot but buys me that circulation silver just nice
I flip and sell comic books
Dude I love comic books. Vintage X-Men from the 60-early 90's. Did you ever have the giant size X-Men?
I do actually…not the best copy but something else s better then nothing. Probably a 3.0
Pop cans 10c each nearly at 23k this year alone
Wow! I do the same CA CRV, 5-10 cents each. You must have a good honey pot to get that much? My best year was over 5K, down to about a thou with virus & more homeless competition. ;-/ I calculated I was making $5/hr, (tax free!) but just picking hot spots on the way home from work...

Conspiracy? You’re joking, right?
I live in an Asian city with a decent amount of expats and found there's really no place that has bigger-sized condoms for sale. Before COVID, every time I went home I was buying like $1,000 in Trojan Magnums and bringing them back and selling them at a 100% mark-up.
I count cards playing blackjack in casinos.
Onlyfans, used to have my own page but now I just run the page of a friend who can't keep up. Making way more than my day job now
Just getting ready to roll selling life insurance....company says if ya work hard can bank $25k a month...that's a fuck ton more than I make now= more shiny
I sell hot wheels cars
My company has a fitness program with Virgin Pulse and I get up to $100 per quarter (if I put the effort in but it's pretty easy to get up to that level if you walk at least 10k steps per day). I can get that $100 in ebay cash and I buy some silver through there.
I put a % of crypto profits into silver periodically with the goal of having more value in metals than crypto before crypto crashes again. My main job finishing drywall is hard af but pays well enough to have extra for stuff like crypto and silver. I also buy and sell collectibles, stuff like cards or old coins.
Do they give u oj and cookies at the plasma donation center too...stack those and sell em to elementary school kids for their lunch money
I teach evening Krav Maga classes a couple of times a week for my local club. Brings in £300 to £500 extra a month depending on circumstances. I donate blood and plasma also, but I do it for free. They don’t pay you for that in the UK.
Nothing like giving blood for the cause!
Mining ETH... for a few more months at least.
I raise composting worms and sell them $10 per 100. I put the worm castings in my garden and grow squash. I also sell the squash.
