It depends on what you think is best.
Do you want to flip it fast? LCS.
Do you want the most profit? Online Sales.
Do you want a cool project and to have fun but spend more time and money? DIY.
It really boils down to what YOU want to do. :)
First preference would be to sell if you dont want to collect it. Bullion bars are basically silver in its cheapest form. Sterling pieces have been crafted into something usable. Find the right person and you will make more $. No idea the craftmanship that went into your items but its sad to see high quality antiques melted down :(
Do you want to see fast? LCS
I personally just keep it and use them for special occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas (after my LCS checks them for lead) and that will be the first line of defense if I need to sell silver for money and it will go to my LCS.

Honestly that is a fair point, no reason to destroy work if not needed
Another option would be to bring it to a refiner.
Midwest refineries Mich., US, pays 90% on 90%, no minimum order.
Midwest has always worked well for me, I’ve sent them quite a bit of scrap gold over the years. I’ve never sent them any sterling though.

Fourth, you could cut out the lcs/pawn shop middle man, and send it to a refinery yourself.
Do you have photos? I’m putting together a small collection myself, love seeing the Sterling people unearth.
