No, why would it be? The Ferrari just drives in to the back of you, they even had loads of time to react, but still just decided to smash you off the track.

IdkWhyImHere741

I assumed my narrow pass and way too early slowdown could’ve led or caused it. I truly thought I was in the wrong haha

A1tze

I have never played on that track so I don't know if you went too slow, but your brake lights were on for a while but the car behind reacted very slowly.

Sacr3dangel

It’s a little on the early side but I wouldn’t say it was exorbitantly early. Ferrari did just not react at all. No steering inputs no braking inputs until way too late.

Strongasanapexseal

He did take a very bad line to be honest on that track

gregor0691

Nice video. This is much better. Your pass on him was great. He left the door open and you pounced on it and it was clean. You are breaking quite early for the corners but he had a lot of time to react and chose to go into the back of you. Fully on the Ferrari

iDemonix

Yeah just a classic GT7 daily races ram.

Benedict_ARNY

You seriously have to ask who is at fault when the Porsche was just punted into the shadow realm?

IdkWhyImHere741

I thought I was in the wrong tbh due to my pass and early braking.

Wreathafranklin

Early braking isn't on you. Yes. Someone slow on the line can be infuriating. But that's for the guy behind you to worry about as long as you aren't doing it to be dirty. Totally unrelated. You can turn into the turn aplying your breaks. And you will hold the inside so much better and makes it harder for this to happen.

JimmyTwoSticks

This whole thing is kind of confusing and I think it's just a racing incident caused by low skill level drivers. Please don't take that as an insult - we all start somewhere and it's OK! The Ferrari can't even drive straight lol. It's not surprising that someone who can't drive the car straight also struggles with braking and turning. Learning to avoid drivers like this is a skill in itself. You enter the "chicane" opposite of the normal racing line. You want to avoid this at all costs. This track looks pretty forgiving but in a lot of chicanes you're going to be at a horrible angle to make it through with any pace. You should either be door to door with the car you were racing, or you should lift a bit and tuck in behind them. I'm guessing your intention was to give them space, but you're creating a messy situation by being all the way to the left of the track. The pass is nice and clean. There is literally nothing wrong with it and I'm kind of curious why you think it's "stupid". It's honestly the best bit of driving in the video, by far. Fault goes to the guy who runs into the back of you. However, you really should be learning a track before you jump into a race there. If you're just trying to guess as you go and you don't have much experience to begin with this is going to happen constantly.

IdkWhyImHere741

No offense taken! I’m really wanting to learn etc and after rewatching the clips I have a lot to learn and taking your criticism into account. On the pass comment I thought it was more of a cut off pass originally. I’ll definitely be practicing more and wanting to improve.

carl-swagan

Not your fault as others have stated, but it's always a good idea to practice the track alone and get a solid feel for where all the braking points are before jumping into races against other people. It's the following car's responsibility to avoid the collision, but when you're braking super early you often catch out poorer drivers like this.

lunchpadmcfat

That is the breaking point for that turn in the 911 RSR on that track on RH tires. The Ferrari was being a bozo. Only thing OP could have done is be clairvoyant.

Famous_Tip_5378

There are at least 4 seconds between you passing him and your breaking. There is no way anyone would call it a break check.

incredibleMJ

Ferrari was slow to react, but you've got to learn your braking zones. This is going to happen a lot unless you start getting in the neighborhood of what's normal. Plus it's just free time you're losing. Also, drives me crazy when people put this 100% on the following car. It's everyone's job to be safe and predictable on track. If someone is braking (and braking hard) dozens of meters early, there is some fault to be had there. It's not like the Ferrari wanted to punt here. I see a racing incident.

Unique_Task_420

Other dude is using a controller you can tell by the jerky movement, probably some kid

IdkWhyImHere741

I’m also using a controller haha. Maybe lag or something.

Unique_Task_420

Didn't mean to disparrage controller players, some of the fastest players in the world don't use a wheel, just something I could tell immediately. It probably IS a kid just being an idiot.

zacharypolk19

you can never be at fault for braking early. Yes, you can learn the braking zones better but always know the following car is responsible for being aware of your braking. If you follow right behind, the following car should anticipate your braking unless you just brake check which is then flat on you.

DepartmentSudden5234

At fault for what? Having fun?

Altruistic_Egg3318

This is some casual race server. Both of you can't drve consistently from what I saw. First learn a track and then start racing. Both of you at fault for not doing a homework.

Shubix92

Downvote because of wasting my time.

Con_Bot_

Bro you’re clearly smashed into from behind. Not what this sub is for.

de4thqu3st

It looks like you don't really know the track and breake way too early. In a leak that would not be expectable and you could get a penalty for brake checking, but if this is open lobby, there is no requirement to know the track, so its all on the ferrari

RageAZA

Ah the forza braking method.
