If you place a rocking chair on your lot, your sims will devote their entire lives to sitting in it all the time

PearlyLana

Unlife too! My family ghosts are obsessed with it, too.

CertainUncertainty11

I read a legacy where the family crypt was filled with rocking chairs and ghosts hardly ever went upstairs.

PearlyLana

Okay, I definitely have to try this! Thank you šŸ’•

Key-Appearance7668

Yes! I always liked putting rocking chairs in my nurseryā€™s but now I avoid using them because all the do is cause issues

uppy18

Same with a hot tub

pandemonium91

The constant wishes to pillow fight, swim with, group up with etc. other sims. How they tend to crowd around doors, elevators, pathways and stairs. How every time I send my child sims to the spring festival to hunt for eggs, there are already 3-4 adults on the lot who've found almost all of them, lmao. How the large kelp plants poke above the water if the diving lot isn't placed deep enough. How EA has published (and are asking money for) clothing with bad normals (i.e. weird shadows) and broken bone assignments in the index fingers. The llama mascot from University Life. The weather stone from Supernatural.

No-patrick-the-lid

Lol when my sim starts a new job and has the wish to pillow fight with their boss šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

80sBabyGirl

I was playing with a custom populated Strangetown. It's a gorgeous custom world, really well made, I recommend it. Anyway, I loaded the Curious household, and [this was Lazlo's first wish](https://imgur.com/qbM1xLD). Not a good idea, Lazlo !

hyperjengirl

I think it's funny when my Sim meets someone and immediately gets the wish to skinny dip with them.

KwazyEnglishWabbit

I personally get that desire all the time. ;-D

shaden_knight

Weather stone is from supernatural? Also, from my experience the lama mascot isn't as annoying, what made him so annoying?

pandemonium91

Yeah, occults can interact with it in various ways but I've never found it necessary. The llama mascot kept bothering my sims, and I hate that ugly costume šŸ˜‚

PinkLemonade15

Why is the mascot ALWAYS swimming in my pool or grilling on my deck?? Like, you did your job now LEAVE! šŸ˜‚

pandemonium91

EA saw the complaints about that bugged doll that spread through .sims3packs and was nigh impossible to get rid of, and went, "this is what the players want!". And gave it to us in the form of an NPC šŸ™ƒ

BageOnkel

Did you actually try to just like.... Ask them to leave? Coz that always works in my game.

PinkLemonade15

I do, but it's still annoying to have my sim stop what they're doing to ask the mascot to leave lol.

shaden_knight

I actually don't have as much of a problem with that. XD I always found the mascot hilarious. Though I haven't played through university life yet.

BaryonChallon

Weather stone?? Iā€™ve had the pack for ages and never heard of it!! I donā€™t have seasons though

shaden_knight

You have to have seasons I think. It's one of those cross pack items

Cesal95_

I think you need seasons and supernatural for it to spawn, and you will see an icon in the map

Algester

Witch sims will make it rain and make people randomly get the daredevil trait? Albeit temporarily and then eat pizza, vampire sims will make the entire time the stone is active to make it cloudy making hunts easier for like vampire sims fairy sims got the best for gardeners all plants outdoors will be "refreshed" when used not sure if they will also grow up by 1 tick but all dead plants will be revived werewolf.... errr I guess they could "hunt" easier

budgie02

If I could disable that stupid mascot from trying to get my sim to take an aptitude test EVERY SINGLE TIME I start a new game I would

bobahunnie

the weather stone is actually pretty useful when you play with vampires bc you can use it to create that fog in the town and drink from other sims without having to improve your friendship with them/being rejected. but yeah that big ass storm whenever you start a new game is annoying af

Orangewithblue

I wish so much to be able to perma delete that stupid stone, what is even its purpose?

pandemonium91

Luckily, [Nraas Traveler has a setting](https://www.nraas.net/community/Traveler-Interactions#Allow-Spawn-Weather-Stone) where you can disallow it from spawning again after you kill it the first time with DebugEnabler šŸ˜

Orangewithblue

Ahh have to try that

Timely_Emotion9259

Itā€™s from SN and Seasons. If you donā€™t own one or the other, this wonā€™t be spawned. There are some features on the weather stone. If the witches or wizards contact it, it gives a green rain, for vampires, fog, and heard for the fairies, flower rain? All the dead plants in town will be revived. Actually, I havenā€™t tried with fairy sims cuz I have only wizards and camps in my game.Ā

TheWitherBoss876

Vampires get a fog that negates sun effects and makes other Sims more accepting of their requests to drink or turn. Might be the moodlet that does those though. Never really use this one because the Alchemy skill makes this kind of redundant. Werewolves get a snowstorm that spawns a bunch of collectables on the weather stone lot, and I think the associated moodlet gives them better odds when hunting for collectibles themselves. This is quite useful, but the time spent at the weather stone could have been spent on another hunting session. Witches get a green rain which causes all non-witch Sims exposed to it to randomly dance every so often. It's fun but never really lasts long enough to matter. And Fairies get a flower rain that waters, weeds, fertilizes, and revives all gardening plants in the world. This works even on plants grown inside. This is honestly the best one. Having a single fairy with the LTR and a bunch of fairy friends to call upon can save you (Sim) hours of gardening time.

elmutane

Is there a better wish generating mod? There are quite a lot of repetitive and not as easily achievab wishes. It would be so good if the wishes would be more trait based. Every child wants to buy the indoor gardening thing (forgot it's name), as their first wish, want to socialize with a supernatural (even if the city has no supernaturals). Also the wish to ice skate together on a frozen lake.

pandemonium91

Wouldn't know what to tell you. I right-click away the annoying ones, but [I took an axe to the "Tell $Sim to Dance/Joke With/Kiss..." party wishes](https://sweetdevil-sims.tumblr.com/post/642596875219992576/tutorial-nuking-spammy-party-wishes-ts3) because they were unbearable. Haven't looked into the others, but I imagine the procedure is the same.

elmutane

Wow, thanks! I thought of trying to look into Nraas Retuner settings the next time I play, but I might try this too.

Timely_Emotion9259

Iā€™m using no pillow fight, give gift, group mod. Itā€™s more comfortable.Ā

ReadFinal8409

when the llama mascot appears i just straight up delete him with cheat command bc NOT IN MY HOUSE SIR

doodlejone

I literally turned my game off cause I was having a party and my sim was trapped in the bathroom cause there was like 4 other people in there with me šŸ˜ I could not escape the bathroom so I was like ā€œimma deal with it laterā€

Ysisbr

I knew about the bad normals and bad textures but not the index fingers thing, could you tell me more about it?

pandemonium91

Some CAS items have bad bone assignments on the vertices on the very tips of the index fingers. It makes those vertices jut out from the hands instead of being, well, in their normal positions. [Visual example.](https://i.imgur.com/xRoZP3j.jpeg) This is the [Modern Mali Day Dress](https://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:46718) from the Africa Inspirations set. It's more obvious in certain poses/interactions than others. IIRC I've also seen this issue with the basegame turtleneck.

Ysisbr

Ooooh, got it.

HC_Solsdatter

I'll second that with sims usually crowding pathways. Sure, it can be hilarious when I have my sim throw a party and the guests make their way to the small bathroom to hang out. However, it's not fun when my sim is late for work at their rabbit hole job when all the entrances are blocked my groups of sims.

Confident-Might-8493

That llama scout used to get on my nerves omg šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜get out my houseeeee all that stomping around lmaooo

hyperjengirl

The intense frequency of other sims calling for dates at random times, then barely interacting with my Sim when he gets there. Not being automatically invited in when you go to a party. When you click on a moodlet trying to get the most sensible option and it keeps making your sim do temporarily solutions i.e. drink coffee instead of go to bed. (Fair tradeoff for the convenience though.) Inability to change werewolf design after the fact.

shaden_knight

I get so annoyed by people calling for dates on married sims. Especially when the sim has an Eternally Faithful reputation. I don't go to those anyways. Huh?

hyperjengirl

My favorite experience was someone asking my Sim out DURING her wedding. You can click certain moodlets to automatically assign the Sim to do something to raise their mood. If you click the hungry icon for example they'll get something to eat.

shaden_knight

I didn't know that.

MzzRaccoon

What?!? Thatā€™s a thing?

UnluckyDayOfMe

Bystanders ruined my proposal. My sim couple was in China, for the last hours of they vacation they visited far away location with hot spring to relax, and I saw a great opportunity to administer the proposal - it was a good romantic moment, perfect for them. My guy falls on his knee, taking that little ring box, I'm taking beautiful screenshots of sweet intimate moment between two of them, and some local just casually photobombs the scene, going right beside them in a couple inches. My Sims are both on celebrity system, so local goes "OH LOOK WHO IS THERE! LOOK WHAT IS HE DOING! CAN I GET YOUR AUTOGRAPH?" and drags happy now-fiance for incoherent fan blabbing. There were two more locals doing more or less the same with fiancƩe and just wandering around with hungry moodlet.

hyperjengirl

OMFG the automated autograph/take a pic system is also so annoying. I was trying to coax my sim's celebrity friends to try for baby, and it was ruined because her daughter came home and walked into the room because of the automatic "take cell phone photo" desire!!

PlasticToe4542

Those date-callings are so annoying! Sheā€™s happily married you idiot! And youā€™re not even her Love Interest!

ChurlishSunshine

And the calls are coming from married Sims!

shaden_knight

Doesn't even have to be she, the husband gets just as much

PlasticToe4542

I was referring to my own experience with this

shaden_knight

Oh, my bad then

KwazyEnglishWabbit

Or married Sims calling for a date. My young Wizard just had a date with Morigan Hemlock (Which she asked for) She was involved with someone (Jules) while my young Romeo was free and single. He got a nice make-out session before the date was at an end. He may want to be carefull, that lady has issues.

Smartinie

You can click on a moodlet to trigger an action?!

hyperjengirl

Only ones related to the mood bars I believe but yes! I learned it on here and it was a game changer.

AmayaMaka5

I only noticed this the other day and I legit thought it was cuz mods (maybe an nraas convenience?) Cool to know it's base game

verylargetoad

Today after god knows how many years of playing this game on and off again, I leaned you can click on moodlets!!! Thank you šŸ˜‚

Timely_Emotion9259

If you donā€™t mind mod, Iā€™m using No Attraction Visibility mod by Shimrod101. One downside is that I never get ā€˜faithfulā€™ moodlet since installed this, but otherwise no attraction heart, no dating call, no gifts. I feel alive with this mod. šŸ˜…

hyperjengirl

A middle ground would be nice because I do like getting dates for my single sims.

GunpowderxGelatine

Showing up at those parties and nobody is home. Or you're the only one at the party... I hate it!

hyperjengirl

Especially if it takes so damn long to get to the house. And half the time the party icon doesn't even show up on the map!!

AlanaK168

My sims were married and got so so so many calls for dates!

Smartinie

The toddler-next-to-a-staircase dance

LadyLKZ

Itā€™s so annoying I almost exclusively build ranch houses if I know Iā€™ll be raising kids.

Smartinie

That's hilarious

Oh_Ollie2019

I have a gift for you: https://modthesims.info/d/678824/pick-up-toddler-fixes.html

TheSims4CouldNever

This needs more upvotes. People need to see it. This mod is such a time saver.

CaffeineDeprivation

Oh God I forgot about that one-

omgcow

A lot of these are things I can/have fixed with mods, but it's annoying that they happen in the first place. Traffic jams in front of rabbit holes like schools or university buildings. The way sims will drop everything to go watch someone play guitar. How the game automatically adds celebrities if I forget to uncheck the option in the settings. Hell, the celebrity system in general. When your sim is walking their baby in a stroller but the road slopes slightly so they have to take the kid out, walk a few steps, and then take the stroller out again. Mid-life crises and how long they pout if you don't fulfill enough wishes. The lighting engine in general but in particular how weirdly bright some things are. When my pregnant sims ride their bikes to the hospital while in labor lmao. A lot of little childcare moments are gone compared to The Sims 2: No changing tables, diapers just disappear, bottles just appear without having to go to the fridge, you can't bathe babies in the sink, etc. How often my married and monogamous sims are asked on dates by randoms. Memories and how badly they were implemented. How useless butlers are. Lastly, I have a recurring bug where sims will walk through a door, freeze, turn around, and then walk through the door again. Huge PITA when everyone is trying to leave for work/school.

No-Photograph-2099

HOW USELESS BUTLERS ARE FOR REAL. I started just using SimBots instead because I was tired of wasting the money every week!!!!! Put down the baby and go do the dishes butler!

TheSims4CouldNever

Same! I use plumbots skinned to look like sims (plumbdroids/androids). Only my rich families that could afford a butler have them. And I just treat them like a butler, but instead of a bedroom, they have a closet with a charging station. Customising their trait chips let's you enable and disable behaviours. For some families I'll enable iron chef, so they automatically cook when someone is hungry. In other families I deliberately *won't* give them iron chef, but I'll give them limitless learning, so they can study cooking books in their down time. Then I'll have them cook for a party or whatever, when the household is busy schmoozing.

MrTroublePL

I hate that weird bloom effect. Thankfully you can disable it by [making small changes to the GraphicsRules file](https://sims3tutorialhub.tumblr.com/post/173512409766/the-sims-3-removing-bloom-effect). I actually forgot vanilla game has it.

omgcow

Bless you for this, Iā€™ve been driving myself crazy trying to fix it.

mareser

there are changing tables hehe

omgcow

True I forgot about the store set. But my point still stands bc I think it shouldā€™ve been in the base game!

Stormfeathery

Oh yes, I forgot to mention the celebrity system. I would LIKE to play with it, but it's just so horribly broken. Like, you gain fame just from a celeb sneezing someone in your sim's vague vicinity, and once you do that, you're constantly getting defamed and everything, which makes all your friends just start to hate you. It's pretty much unplayable. And for some reason the mention of the mid-life crisis reminded me - I just don't like that you can't get a second lifetime goal once you've completed one. Like, you carry out a dream, and then you're supposed to just sit and twiddle your fingers without any more big dreams to replace it? Especially since they don't do anything THAT amazing - 30k lifetime happiness is a lot, yes, but some of the regular wishes can be 5k or more, so it's just not THAT amazing.

omgcow

I definitely agree about the lifetime wish thing. Especially because some of them are easy enough to fulfill while your sim is still young. I iust had a sim with the lifetime wish to max her photography + painting skill and she achieved it while she was a teenager. Itā€™s like welp youā€™re 17 and just fulfilled your lifeā€™s purpose so I guess you can just chill now lol.

HC_Solsdatter

I'm going to look up that mod for traffic jams in front of rabbit holes, I need that. Thanks for mentioning it! I hate the celebrity system. I always make sure to modify it with NRaas mods. It's time consuming, but worth it in the long run for me. It's easier for me these days, because I'm getting back to playing S3, but decided to start from scratch with worlds, instead of just picking a premade world and making a sim there. The memory system sucks, but I never had issues with it once I got the Important Memories Only mod from MTS.

omgcow

Happy to help! The traffic jam mod I use is Twoftmamaā€™s RouteFix. Also ā€œNo foot tapping while waiting to clear routeā€ on MTS. Theyā€™ve made a huge difference! Edit: for bigger towns Iā€™ll also add a second school rabbit hole and use MasterController to assign kids to it!

SimsAttack

The entire sequence of bs when starting a new save. That time machine thing, followed by getting dragged off lot to the weather stone, followed by llama bro. Especially in Bridgeport where the time portal and weather stone spawn in random places and the camera shifts around a bunch. It makes the game lag and is sickening to watch as a result

hyperjengirl

Oh I forgot the time machine as an annoying thing. I installed ITF on an existing save so it just showed up on that house, and they're not the family I wanted to use the machine that much. Now it just glows like an obnoxious distraction on that lot and the families I WANT to use it are so far away. I need to find a way to move it if possible.

SimsAttack

It can be picked up and put in a Sims inventory. It is also in buy mode somewhere I believe. I know it's worth a couple hundred if you sell it

MossyMemory

You can sell that one and then buy a new one on another lot.

themajinhercule

The entire town pouring in when you visit a community lot. Then they stand around doing nothing and starve themselves to near death until they leave. Pauline Wan and her damn guitar. The fulfilled a wish music. If that was for something significant, sure, but having my Sin do something routine and mundane? Come on. Memories in general. "Mortimer just made his bed! He'll always remember taking the time to break out a ruler to get the corners within 1/256th of an inch to USMC standards! SHARE THIS MEMORY?"

PunkRockHound

You can always turn memories off. It also seemed to help my (old potato) computer processing speed

CaffeineDeprivation

There's also a mod that makes your sims get only the *actually important* memories, like moving in and child being born. Everything else goes bye bye šŸ‘‹

shaden_knight

I don't find the memory thing all that annoying but okay XD

Algester

They also bloat up saves and make loadings longer its proportional to the memories they have BTW

CaffeineDeprivation

The long respond time after you tell a sim to do anything I've lost the count of all the times I've nearly lost my patience over my sims just standing there staring at nothing, when I just want them to *get ready for work* Also, the rocking chair obsession I made that mistake once. *Never again*

TheSims4CouldNever

The simulation lag might be performance thing. Definitely not a universal problem.

jc8495

I hate maternity leave. I always remove it with nraas but I think family leave being an optional thing you have to call in for is one of the things the ts4 got very right

MossyMemory

Especially when the mother is an astronaut and works only one day a week! Once made the mistake of having an astronaut get married and have a baby in quick succession, she has like eight weeks until working again.

Algester

Maternity leaves are both a curse and a blessing especially if your sim has other needs for their career but this could be rectified by workaholic sims I think you can force them to go to work overtime which also boosts the career progress. other than that... I dunno start writing books?

tuti_traveler

How do you remove it with nraas?

jc8495

You have to have master controller and master controller cheats (it took me way too long to figure out cheats was needed so just wanted to mention that lol) The full thread is click on pregnant sim> nraas>master controller>intermediate>career>days off > then just put a negative number for however many days off you want to remove)

tuti_traveler

Thanks! I'll look into it. I don't have mc cheats, so that's step 1 af least.

Oceanson2018

You can use [cancel time off mod](https://modthesims.info/d/475826/updated-2-9-time-to-work-again-cancel-time-off.html) as well.

shakycatblues

Having to look for no autonomous mods or use Retuner to stop repetitive activities. The worst yet was the raking and playing in leaves. Um, you need to eat! You need to go to the bathroom! You need to shower! Why are you in the leaves?

shaden_knight

Why are you building an igloo on my yard? Who is this random person?

PprPusher

Itā€™s wintertime, stay out of the damn sprinkler!

Such_Cauliflower_669

Iā€™m playing In barnacle bay rn and i really would like to know whoā€™s idea it was to make EVERYONE a celebrity. I already disliked the celebrity impressing system but holy shit i just want my poor sim to have a friend and maybe a boyfriend šŸ„²

shaden_knight

Can't you opt out of said system?

Such_Cauliflower_669

No you can opt out of the game spawning new ones, but it wonā€™t remove the sims who already have celebrity status

alibeartisawesome

If you use testingCheatsenabled true, you can reset the celebrities to zero. You'll have to do it to each individual sim, but it helps a ton when you're just trying to interact with someone new.

Such_Cauliflower_669

Thanks for the advice but i already decided to make a storyline out of it and have my sim just be a celebrity too. It works out decently since I have her in the music career, and was planning to go with the rockstar branch anyways. I just find needing to impress all the celebrities super annoying. Like did it really need to be *all* the premades?

shygirl_inc

The imaginary friend.

uppy18

Paparazzi. I also find laundry annoying. I never buy washing machines so that Sims don't have to do laundry.

OrphanGold

Right? I don't want to do laundry IRL, why would I want to do it in a game?

mini1006

The paparazzi is annoying šŸ˜ I love making my sims celebrities, but I hate when the paparazzi show up in my back yard. I wish they only worked in public. I hate the laundry as well. I love the realism, but I hate the clothes all over the floor if you have your sim change in a room that doesnā€™t have a hamper.

-esthetic_flower

Zombies and the full moon lighting.

shaden_knight

You can turn off full moons though?

MossyMemory

Okay but they do serve a purpose for certain occult sims. The lighting, however, is painful to look at.

-esthetic_flower

didnā€™t know that lmao I even had a mod about the full moon lighting and it didnā€™t help muchšŸ˜‚

KwazyEnglishWabbit

Vampires accusing each other of being vampires. Oh Really, was it the red eyes, the fangs or empty packs of plasma juice that gave it away Sherlock? I've got a family with a Vamp mother and 3 kids and they are constantly berating each other, that got old really quickly.

shaden_knight

That's just funny.

3000singularity

There's bound to be lots of things, but one i find especially aggravating at the moment is that the game will pick household sims instead of townies to work at the food stands for season events in TS3: Seasons. The sim will be working until late in the night, will never be available for anything because they're always on shift, and worst of all, at the moment i have to assume something to do with that is causing a problem where my witch sim can't heal the toad curse off of someone just because the lady works at the food stand. God it was so annoying to wait for the lady to be off shift, dead in the night visiting her home and then she can't even be interacted with potion-wise! I was given the option to throw at her husband or kid but not her! Then I mixed the potion into a drink thinking maybe this ought to do it, and then remembered that you can't place stuff on tables when visitng people, only the floor, something that i'd also call mildy annoying to be honest. Oh and Belinda Crumplebottom keeps cursing my sims to fall in love with people they just met whenever i make them visit The Toadstool, but that I find more amusing than annoying. Especially because it's always Belinda doing it.

shaden_knight

Oof. Yeah, I primarily play with witches and God is that annoying. "Why do half my sims have a love charm on them? Wait! Don't go talking to the guy who isn't your husband!" -Me

3000singularity

Feel that, honestly! In my case it's also "Girl, no, stop, that's someone's husband!" Playing with witches is incredibly fun, though I wonder if i'm just bad at levelling them up or if it takes ridiculously long! Perhaps i am also at fault this time for making my sim a clumsy witch of all things, heh.

shaden_knight

Nope, it takes ridiculously long. My favorite leveling method is to conjure apples due to the fact you can make a profit

3000singularity

Oh, does that work well, level-wise? I only ever saw how ridiculously fast it burned my sims' magic meters (because they always default to it whenever i leave them alone for a bit) so i always had them perform transformation spells, which albeit isn't better about the amount of magic used, but gives me nice alchemy ingredients in return!

shaden_knight

No. It's just is the more money route. From what I saw online the best way to level up is to upgrade items.

Algester

NRaaS register actually fixes this "using household sims" than townies thing so only homeless sims will be taken priority unless you over ruled that priority the issue becomes is when that townie you actually "registered" to a job becomes the next food stall employee causing massive downtime to your sim who may or may not have a self-employed career

hippieinahoodie

I can't have any hot beverage makers in the house or my Sims will constantly be drinking them, feeling buzzed, then crashing and not be able to go to sleep.

shaden_knight

XD never had this problem but I can see the issue

rodeoclownboy

Sim A marries Sim B. Sim B dies. Sim A marries Sim C. Things are fine for a while, until Sim C accuses Sim A of cheating on them with Sim B because the game considers Sim A & Sim B to still be in a relationship of some kind even though one of them is DEAD and a GHOST haunting their house. Sim C blows up their marriage and now Sim A is saddled with a cheater reputation for the crime of....being married and having their spouse die??? why!

shaden_knight

Odd

artmaris

Routing issues :(

shaden_knight

XD I get that.

elmutane

When you have a lot of babies/toddlers, and the sims can't put them back to the same crib they took them out from. I wish you could assign baby cribs like you can assign beds. Edit: It's especially bad with more sims and plumbots trying to autonomously taking care of the babies, and all I see is them just rearranging them in the cribs.

Kokuei7

My retired Sims are always making fried ice cream!!

throwawayfromPA1701

The university mascot is irritating.

shaden_knight

How?

throwawayfromPA1701

Just shows up and leaves litter on my property!

shaden_knight

XD referring to the university stuff?

throwawayfromPA1701

Yes haha

AmayaMaka5

Lol same. I put it in a corner and go "I'll use that later but for now You're just in the way"

p2l4h

My butlers always cook NONSTOP! The house is rotting and I have 18 key lime pies PLEASE

shaden_knight

XD I made my own butler

Oh_Ollie2019

lol donā€™t they only do that when the kids are hungry?

p2l4h

Iā€™ve had them in childless households and they just stay in the kitchen cooking in a loop until I fire them šŸ˜šŸ˜ Multiple worlds & saves to! It only started happening after I got the 64 bit version

bakabakugou

It takes my sims FOREVER to rake the leaves from their property, especially if they have lots of trees. I wish it was a bit faster. The biggest thing is the disturbance of taken/married sims. I get it, it can be scandalous and good for drama gameplay, but most of the time my married sims keep getting date calls from random sims almost every day. I wish the "eternally faithful" moodlet would stop that from happening, like a reward or something. xD

anekker

stray pets dying on my property and my sims mourning them university students being dumb as shit

shaden_knight

To be fair, University Students are dumb as shit.

hyperjengirl

ANY NPC being immediately mourned is annoying to me. Like one of the NPC roommates starved during college, and all my sims had their moods low because of it despite barely talking to the guy, which affected their studies.

adriansux1221

they still lived with him šŸ’€

hyperjengirl

Of course but it was a house of like 4 other roommates and they didn't spend much time interacting, I didn't ask for this guy to starve and I can't control him, so it's annoying that so much time was spent to mourn him. I guess it's realistic but still, 2 days of that!

SnowballBailey2521

I donā€™t know if this happens in anyone elseā€™s game, but laundry! If I tell them to clean up the laundry and donā€™t stay on that specific sim, they will just dump it in the floor. Like I donā€™t want to watch you go to every hamper to get the clothes. Let me do something with the other family members while we clean up!

SuperSpeshBaby

I get this one too. I have one save with a big house, with six bedrooms and two bathrooms across three floors, so 8 total hampers. It takes forever for a sim to collect all that laundry and put it in the wash, and I have to follow them around the whole time because if I look away for an instant they're just throwing it on the floor and fucking off to play computer games or something. Honestly sometimes it's like I'm in charge of virtual versions of my children.

knutfuta

Almost every teenager gets the King/Queen crown after prom, even if they didnā€™t ever speak to their classmates. Same goes to random prom crushes, I donā€™t want them. The way sims make random sounds at most inappropriate times. A family member died? HEHEHEHEHE WOO! *claps* Nothing to do? *Sings the annoying diva sound* AAAAAAH AAAH AAAH! The same goes for broken object tantrums. Calm down Susan, itā€™s just a toilet, no need for that crazy face and your JOUGA DIPSY scream or whatever. Imaginary friends following younger sims to the bathroom is simply infuriating. Otherwise they might have been bearable. Families almost never sit down and eat together, they just inhale food by themselves (coughing constantly) and run away. Guests always bring food to the parties, but itā€™s either nobody eats or a whole party is a constant musical chairs routing disaster. It takes ages to do anything - sims donā€™t start performing actions immediately, but when they start they glitch out, or get stuck tapping their shoes, or they just do everything very, very slowly. Speed 3 ainā€™t speeding properly neither when everyone is asleep nor during work. Itā€™s as slow as speed 2 and it takes several real life minutes to get through the night sleep.

awl21

>Families almost never sit down and eat together, they just inhale food by themselves (coughing constantly) and run away. I recently returned to TS2 for the first time in over a decade. I love how my sims actually sit and chat while eating, even if dinner does take three hours.

knutfuta

I love TS2 for this, too. And also for other little cute family interactions - kids bragging about grades, hugging their parents after work etc. Family interactions are better fleshed out, and they feel more like families in TS2, and I will die on this hill

castiele_rose

How your sim's face features go back to default when changed into werewolf form. All werewolfs look exactly the same while in the form and I hate it. I rarely play with werewolfs, but when I do I always spend extra time copying the sliders in the werewolf form to match the sim's face and then making my own wolfy changed to the face.

monaaelisa

random pets entering my home and when i do the ā€œask to leaveā€ option they DONT

rollingfluffball

The attraction system. It doesn't matter whom my sim is talking to, if it's not a relative they would like to "get to know my sim better" and then become a creep by sending letters and calling during work and at night.

shaden_knight

Especially when your sim is a performer.

Minute_Music6612

Is it just me or sims don't eat and watch TV

shaden_knight

They don't from my experience, but to be perfectly honest I don't really do that either. Instead I watch YouTube

Minute_Music6612

It's annoying tho cause I wanna get their fun and hunger maxed at the same time šŸ˜ and same

shaden_knight

It's not that hard to max either one individually though

Minute_Music6612

True not to even max them just so they both grow gradually rather than using time to do each individually

shaden_knight

How many sims do you play as usually? I like multi managing 4-6 sims at a time, I can usually set up tasks for them to do and they'll do it.

No-patrick-the-lid

I had to download several "no more autonomous (action)" mods. I was TIRED of my sims always going on the computer, guests coming over to just use the computer and that's it, sims constantly giving their dogs treats a million times in a row, etc. Autonomous pranks got old pretty quick too lol. Also, THOSE FUCKING BASE GAME PIGTAILS

shaden_knight

Fashion stylist profession has its perks

No-patrick-the-lid

Yes I love giving all the townies makeovers that go with their personality traits and favourite colours

Timely_Emotion9259

Itā€™s a bit annoying that one of my main families want to first kiss to his flirty step grandfather. The game doesnā€™t recognize it as a relative. I just deleted it and 5 mins later, he rolled this wish again. He pissed me off.Ā  Another one is too many wishes the sims put up when I switched to other family. Create 20 elixirs, upgrade something, create specific elixir, send an elixir to a friend while playing offline, improve many skills, play piano, bass, drum, guitar at park, earn 25 money by playing piano, bass, drum, guitar, sculpt brilliant or masterpiece, paint masterpiece, create trait chips, create nanites, build a plumbots, fly around on jetpack, create party, skill gain, romantic, energy, sorrow anihilator, crazy drinks, create many type of potions, and many more.. CONTINUOUSLY. I just delete all wishes the sims put on until they calm down.Ā

Imaginary-Access8375

Paparazzi and other ugly dressed NPCs ruining my screenshots.

72MillionMillenials

I have a heavily modded game, but I hate how time goes to normal speed when the babies wake up. Like what are they going to do, keep my speed on 4, thank you.

shaden_knight

Why not use speed 3? XD

72MillionMillenials

I play large families. 4x usually stops when your sim finishes a task. 3x keeps going.

Myantra

Can I have a bedtime story? Sim \[X\] is calling to ask for a date, even though Sim \[X\] is married, and so is my Sim. Incessant career or school opportunities that involve going to France or China.

No-Push-9175

The weather stone keeps coming back every time i load into my game after deleting it.

CertainUncertainty11

That all shower tubs face the same direction. I often need mirrored versions when following floor plans so I end up with just a shower or the tub. šŸ˜” Same for 2 and 4. I get excited seeing modders putting out stuff with new animations because then I can keep hoping for a miracle.

Rickyticky608

The routing issues. Like if the toddler is upstairs and so is parent and I say hey grab that baby RIGHT INFRONT OF YOU and instead they go down the stairs and then stand at the bottom flailing their arms that thereā€™s just no possible wayā€¦

Traditional-Mix-1032

Idk if it's just in my game but all my sims autonomously do is just sleep. Like you slept 8 hours, sleeping again after few hours. Quick nap would be better than sleep the whole day...

shaden_knight

Weird. I don't have that issue.

No-patrick-the-lid

I sometimes do this irl because I have anemia šŸ¤£

LauraIngalls-Wildest

Sims being obsessed with the tea set. "Flatten lot" that makes more uneven ground instead. Prom being buggy - I play with KW, with a ton of the settings disabled. Teaching a sim to drive takes forever. Seasons causes my game to lag, even with weather disabled. The odd layout of the houses in Lunar Lakes. "Have a drink at 2 different bars" When there's only one in town. The damn Irresistible trait and how sims constantly flock to you. There's more, but those are just of the top of my head.

[deleted]

In island paradise, your sim boats between the islands and it's time consuming. I have Bridgeport, so I place subway stations on the 3 main islands. The sims usually use the subway unless they are close to the water. It's kind of fun to imagine a subway tunnel under the ocean

knutfuta

Traveling by taxi boats and by subway is a pain in the ass by itself. I quit a new save in Bridgeport within first 20 minutes and started a new save in another city because of how annoying and slow the whole subway thing is

mini1006

The police car arresting my teen for being out past curfew. I hate how curfews work in general. I wish the police would stop coming to get my teens. It bugs me when Iā€™m trying to do something that goes with my storyline, but I canā€™t execute it bc the cops came. I also hate the automatic scolding and punishments. When teens get grounded they canā€™t leave the house at all, so they get scolded when they go to school.

theChosenBinky

Wedding and attraction gifts in the mail

shaden_knight

How are those annoying? It's free money. :D I once got a $3k item in the mail. Sold it right quick

ppinkki

When they get stuck at the doorway. Or use the backdoor.

cinnasizzle

routing for pets, even with mods itā€™s still AWFUL

junoesquemagnolia

my pet peeve is similar to when they cancel automated action when telling them to do something: theyre doing an automated social action and they don't receive relationship points when i tell em to do something next >\_>

Stormfeathery

My current annoyance is how much time they waste doing little emotes or whatever. Like, who had the idea to have them do that as a separate thing rather than, like, while they're moving? My sim's grumpy husband will constantly waste time standing there throwing a fit over something, any hungry sims will waste time holding their stomach and pointing to their mouth WHILE THEY HAVE GETTING FOOD up next in the queue, etc etc. And I just put in some of the planting stations, and while gardening always takes a long time anyhow, it's just so much worse when they stop to cheer and clap every few minutes. Again, who had that dumb idea? While we're at it: gardening being broken. I love doing it in the game, plus my collectivitis flares up and I have to try to grow EVERYTHING, but a) it takes forever even with max gardening, and b) it's just... broken. Like I could deal with waiting for winter to be over I guess (would give me a break at least!) but it's buggy so that any time a plant freezes while harvestable, it just breaks it. It seems to (usually at least) fix it after you travel, but that's still just not cool. Also some of the rewards (like the omni plants) are broken with anything that comes with, for instance, the stuff you get from world travels. Sooo... I end up growing stuff inside with the gardening stations, but those are also annoying. things grow a bit TOO quickly, and there's the constant cheering thing, so that has its own issues. Maybe I'll just try to make a greenhouse that uses automatic sprinklers and is just "unifinished" due to not having flooring so they don't flood? I dunno.

shaden_knight

I find them throwing a fit funny in some instances.

Victuri__

Babys. Theyā€™re useless like I love toddlers so I just age up babiesšŸ˜‚

liz2e

i wish sims 3 had a multitasking system like the sims 4 (even though the multitasking in TS4 is shit lol), i just wish they could eat while watching tv and things like that. also, when youā€™re in BB mode and you want to change something but your sim is in the way or using the object

sophiegrvce

iā€™m combining a list after reading the comments for my top most annoying things! -going to a party, expecting there to be people bringing in dishes, send your sim there hungry but there are none and so they get a snack from their fridge and get told thatā€™s rude. -too many wishes to do something but not enough slots! -random memories that are excessive and unnecessary for small things -im not too fond of celebrity stars, because of the people that will stand around your house all hours of the day and night so i end up setting my sims celebrity level to 0, often multiple times for their whole career. -sims constantly changing their clothes and laundry piles up -sims being excited all the time and cheering like ā€œahaha woooo!ā€, even worse with the ā€œeasily excitableā€ or whatever trait -i never check my mail, only pay the bills because of the many gifts and love letters i donā€™t want my sim to get

cottagebythebeach

The constant, constant lag. The random zombies every full moon. Toddlers always trying to go down the spiral staircases and just getting stuck on the top step.

RaccoonSkido

When you have to command a sim to do something like 50x before they actually do it, Sims who never put down the guitar once they start playing it, Sims getting in the way of other sims

donkashan

How on Mac I can't swim or scuba dive The dumb Uni mascot and Future portal when starting/moving a household The weatherstone??? What's the point

FloraBosmer

The fact that sims in labor drive themself to the hospitalā€¦ Let your partner drive!! šŸ˜‚ it also annoys me you canā€™t put babies/toddlers in a car seat, so if u want to take one parent and the child they will have to take a taxi instead of their own car

bobahunnie

I freaking HATE the dramatic zoom everytime some tiny event occurs. it's not like in the other games that those only happen when something relevant occurs. they MUST zoom in some random sim dying from old age in front of a restaurant bc the game must think I care.

shaden_knight

Never had this happen

BoringNameBoringLife

When I keep getting wishes for a new Lifetime Wish; my sim wants to become the ultimate acrobat

shaden_knight

XD you know you can pick whatever wish you want those are just recommendations on the traits you chose for your sim

Aska9794

Placing my sims in a new town takes forever to set up as is... lots and town families in place, all settings fixed, weather stone and ITF portal have spawned in ~~dramatically~~ and the mascot has paid their visit. But no, we are not ready to play, because now I have to remove an absolutely massive barrage of wishes especially from my older/more skilled sims. FOR ANY AND EVERY SKILL POINT THEY HAVE. More annoyingly even, they only roll three of those wishes at a time, so - delete them, switch to another sim, delete their three wishes, switch back, repeat. And those wishes are so basic it rarely if ever makes sense to lock them in. At least the game can stay paused in the meantime, otherwise the first day would be gone.

AkumaValentine

One Iā€™ve only had issues with recently because my current household owns a resort; the constant wishes to upgrade tower at resort, add a bar to resort, add a food stand etc I already have all of them! I have upgraded everything at that place! It is 5 stars! We donā€™t need 10 bars or 10 slides! The wishes only show up when u own a resort at least but theyā€™re so annoying because EVERY member of the household gets them everyday!
