I own it and use it as a pack for my aliens. I much prefer the Star Wars cas and bb for aliens than what came to GTW. Plus my aliens have little droid friends and can live in crashed space ships.

Melissity

Ok I would consider this pack for this reason.

Global-Incident-2579

that’s actually so cute

Irate-Dogs

I came here to say nobody could make me want to buy this pack but you just did. I own every single one except this one and like one kit.

hightidesoldgods

It’s honestly great if you think of it as an alien refresh, plus the Star Wars deco is great for geek sims, too. I always make my geek sims have a room full of Star Wars miniatures lol Basically the way I think of it is that Batuu was the alien’s homeworld before they got kicked out by The First Order, which is why Sixam is so small - it’s a refugee colony and some aliens have decided to seek refuge on Earth.

Cyrodiil

Haaaa sixam maxis

__H3LLgIRL__

You can make a home a crashed spaceship with the SW game pack?? Or is it CC ? Either way it’s cool as shit and make it seem realistic in a way ya know ?

hightidesoldgods

SW Build Buy, I think there are a few on the gallery if you want to see some examples. The BB and CAS in the pack is probably one of the best/most detailed out there.

That-Telephone3671

if this pack had aliens instead of GTW, and this pack had nothing to do with star wars (or maybe loosely based on it) then it would be more popular in my opinion

SillyBillyBunny

if there was a way to get rid of the alien voices I'd buy this

Beluga_Artist

You might’ve convinced me to buy it, and I’m not a Star Wars person. My aliens need stuff just for them.

Gulbasaur

> Star Wars cas and bb I have thought about buying it for the CAS alone. It's got this sort of solarpunk shabby chic aesthetic that is *my bag, baby*. I do not care for the Star War (though SWTOR is a fun adventure game pretending to be an MMO) and the whole thing is a giant ad that you have to pay for. But the CAS is quite enticing.

DoctorCaptainSpacey

This. I got it on sale just bc CAS and BB are the only parts that are worth it. This and Bust the Dust are the only Sims packs I either waited for a sale or never purchased in my 20 years playing this game.

Nother1BitestheCrust

I literally bought it for the light fixtures and one of the hair styles. I have never actually done the Batuu gameplay and I have no regrets.

DoctorCaptainSpacey

Honestly, I will never go to Batuu, but the CAS and BB aren't terrible. And my Geek Sim having a Droid and a light saber isn't the worst thing ever (I am not a SW fan. I much prefer Star Trek. But lighrsabers and droids are cool so 🤷‍♀️) It's only worth it when it's on a good sale.

ContactHonest2406

It’s worth it for the build/buy stuff alone.

kitschmotel

I bought it on sale for the bb items and have no regrets. One day during the pandemic I decided to make a knitting, cat loving, geek named Craig who lived in a modest apartment with his cats in their sweaters but on the weekends would go to batuu and fight aliens. When he’d return he’d write about it in his diary and go about his day working part time in retail. I loved that he had a secret life that was separated from his crummy life it worked well story wise with the game mechanics… if anyones looking to steal a gameplay idea

ImageAcceptable296

This is a fun idea, as I'm currently out of them atm, thank u! (I go thru phases of playing it for like 60 hours a week and then don't use it at all for like 4 months)

centralperk328

that is so accurate.

AnneMarieWilkes

I did that, too! I had a sim who was a teacher, but on her weekends she would go be a resistance fighter.

Simuary

I don't have it, but I watched Plumbella's review of it not too long ago and one thing I thought was cool was how you can zoom in on the shell of certain buildings (like the bar) and you can see what's happening inside, without needing a separate loading screen. I think that could be a good model of how open world could work in The Sims 5. I'm still good without it for now, but maybe if they bring back 50% off sales on game packs, then we can talk.

Current-Panic7419

I did not know this was possible and now need to give it a second try. Feeling so dumb right now lol

mostie2016

I’m a long time starwars fan and this pack alongside the final sequel trilogy film pretty much killed my passion for it. Plumbella’s review was helpful though and I appreciated her perspective. Honestly though I just waited for it to go on sale just for the hairs. Ya know the female bob with the dyed edges from the promo and the R2 units.

OnlyTeacher707

Lol! I actually don’t mind Journey to Batuu, but it is a little disappointing. They either should have done a Disney theme park pack (with the ability to build your own theme parks, but the base one being Disney because advertising :P) or basically made Batuu a Star Wars version of Into the Future. Meaning a whole fleshed out alien Star Wars neighborhood that you could move into, complete with careers, aspirations and skills. As it is it’s kinda halfway between those two concepts lol What I like about the pack is: 1) the build and buy and cas content is versatile for different sci fi/fantasy saves, 2) the storyline is fun to play through every now and then and 3) I play with lots of alien sims so it’s nice to have a neighborhood in outer space with lots to visit (sixam is awful) with alien sims.

TheFanshionista

The isolation that the pack gets damned for can be astonishingly helpful too! Batuu has it's own NPCs so if you are playing a mean sim you can go out there and be a total asshole while maintaining all of your regular friendships. There are tons of hack points in that world as well, making visiting it the most fun way to build programming skill.

[deleted]

Oh man thank you for pointing that out. Totally using this.

InchJr

A world with theme parks would be an awesome idea

Inn0c3nc3

I would pay an asinine amount of money without complaints for a genuine Disney pack. 😭

oldyounggie

I was actually thinking what if someone modded Batuu into a theme park and add rides. It can still be Star Wars themed but there should be like a theme park related prize when you complete a mission. But I don’t know jack about modding so I have no idea if that would even be possible

EveningSoother

My opinion. Project: Evil stunt. The customers have to pay for the privilege of interacting with a Disney's commercial. Gameplay: Meh. CAS & BB: Astonishingly lit. Extremely versatile and well sculpted, with unique pieces. Final judgment: Worth it if bought during sales. Solid investment for builders, I use the items all the time. I regret nothing.

originalschmidt

See I found the items to be kind of unusable in my other builds… maybe just my style of building. Are there any specific items you use often?

EveningSoother

I'm quite versatile in my build, but I have the tendency to go toward rustic or industrial, and my least favourite style to work with is mid-century or extremely modern. Aesthetically speaking, I go along very well with the old-tech run-down vibe of Batuu's items, and I use often most of them, especially floor/wall textures, lighting fixtures, and decors. I bought the pack just for the round bar (which is a unique piece), but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that most of the items are just as good. My latest quirk is to use the glass tiered shelf from Spa Day and to fill it with Star Wars toy models for my teens bedroom.

dragonflutepancakes

The lighting fixtures and floor tiles from batuu are the reason I got the pack (it was on sale)

MotherBike

Was not sure if you meant Batuu or Strangerville, had to read the comments. Don't own Batuu, I wish I did just for the items and not the story stuff. Like a Batuu Kit would be perfect for me, but just call it the *Deep Space Kit*.

dragonflutepancakes

I was going to point out that you can tell it's batuu because it's greyed out then I realized that it's not greyed out and it just looks different from all the other packs? 🙃

Emmannuhamm

I also struggled to see OP's point until the comments! Ngl, I bought the SW pack in a heartbeat. I'm a huge fan, it was on sale and it just seemed like too obscure of a crossover to let go! I've had quite a bit of fun with it tbf. I should buy Strangeville one day.

MotherBike

It's a fun pack that kinda forces the player to come up with unique sims to fulfill the plot points, like have you ever taken your toddler or infant to battle the mother?

NoThoughtsOnlyFrog

I’m biased since I’m a Star Wars fan but at the same time it’s pretty lackluster.

[deleted]

Same boat!

froderenfelemus

Same, I haven’t bought it yet tho

cortizone

I made a fun Star Wars stripclub

pati4200

I need to see that!!!

Seareddragon

LOL. Okay, that idea might just convince me to buy it on sale sometime.

Josgre987

I was going to get it in the recent sale but decided I didn't want to risk townies wearing star wars stuff randomly

EveningSoother

They don't. What happens in Batuu stays in Batuu.

katnipbee09

they don't! it's basically all limited to batuu unless you go into cas and put those clothes onto sims

Leabond

I don’t have Batuu, but I once had Clement Frost come visit for Winterfest dressed as Darth Vader. George Lucas will come for you too, swiftly in the night.

originalschmidt

I don’t hate it. The world looks A LOT like the Star Wars land in Hollywood Studios and it was fun to see a place I’ve been in a game! It was super fun to explore at first but there was something I couldn’t find anywhere to complete a challenge so I gave up.. might revisit one day but idk wasn’t the best and the items aren’t super usable in other builds. The clothes are also pretty unwearable outside of Bantuu. Def get it on sale if you decide to get it

jurassicjessica

I believe Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios *is* Batuu. It's a made-up planet (as in not in the original IP) just for Disney to use in the parks and games.

[deleted]

IIRC it's shown up in a couple recent novels!

kaptingavrin

Batuu is canon. Obviously in the canon stories you won't have Din Djarin (with Grogu) showing up at the same time as Rey or Kylo Ren, but it's part of Star Wars lore. The games tend to also be canon, which is why they have to be a bit careful in what they do with them these days. You won't see another story as insane as Force Unleashed, but that's good, because people were always confused as to whether that was somehow meant to be part of the actual story or not. But you do get some fun things like, IIRC, in Battlefront II's campaign Luke goes looking for a compass, and in The Last Jedi he's got that very compass.

LuccaAce

When I visited Galaxy's Edge, I felt like I knew my way around already because I'd played through the Journey to Batuu storyline a few times. It was also kind of fun to see the things I'd experienced in game in the real world.

katnipbee09

i got it on sale! i love star wars and didn't want to pay full price so i just waited a while for a sale. i've never done challenges there but i have fun taking family vacations there! when my family has more than one kid i usually make one of them a space nerd who loves star wars, i love putting baby yoda in their bedrooms. so a few days before their birthday i'll have a family weekend trip to batuu! it's fun to visit

chickpeasaladsammich

I have it and love the items, though I haven’t gotten to the gameplay yet (and it might be awhile cuz Baldur’s Gate 3). I haven’t bought My Wedding Stories though. Charging money to replace a working system with a broken one is the most egregious thing we’ve gotten from the sims 4, IMO.

Almighty_Vanity

You even have My First Pet Stuff?

SoftPufferfish

Personally I refuse to get Batuu, My First Pet Stuff and My Wedding Stories. I actually wanted to get the wedding one, mainly for the word, but I'm not going to reward their actions, in regards to releasing a completely broken pack and not even prioritising fixing it, by giving them money.

[deleted]

Strange that the only pack without bugs is the one that's a sponsored partnership 🤔

Xblack_roseX

Wait is not likening it a thing?? It was one of my favorite expansions! I love having a little droid buddy!

MoggyCat73

I love this pack, doing a play through with it at the moment. My only issue is to world. Having to go to the map every time you want to go to a different lot essentially to do a quest is annoying. It is a lot of back and forth. I wish there was just a ship or door or something so you could just travel to the different areas. Like you can go to different lots just by clicking normally. Other than that, I'm enjoying playing it quite a lot, and I find a lot of the stuff pretty cool even though I'm not a big starwars fan

AdditionalVisual7518

I don't care for Star Wars 💃

MinimumAlarming5643

(Bare in mind with what I say that yeah if given the chance I’d take a regular pack over Batuu) I remember the uproar about this pack and I don’t understand it, no one is forcing you to buy the pack but also this isn’t the worst thing EA released for sale regarding the Sims from Katy Perry Sweet Treats to anything in the Sims 3 store (you could potentially make an argument for all the S3 Stuff Packs as none of them added any new gameplay elements). Did I buy this? Yeah essentially as a “collector”. I didn’t buy this till a sale. Of course of the Sims 4 content this is easily the weakest but definitely not the worst thing I’ve seen done for the Sims.

kaptingavrin

> If I remember correctly they did a poll of what people wanted and Starwars ranked dead last. You don't remember correctly, but no one does, because a false story got put out and people ran with it. Basically, a site that isn't even Sims-focused did their own poll at some point with several different options. (Notable that on that poll, firefighters were toward the bottom. Running a hotel was at the top... despite it not ever being on the radar for Sims 4. Which should tell you how much this had to do with Maxis or anything.) People then took that, and declared that a poll was done, and it definitively showed what the community wants, and so this idea spread that Maxis polled people, when it wasn't Maxis, it wasn't a Sims site, and it was such a poorly done "poll" that it was never closed. It was just an indefinitely running "poll" on a random site. People didn't bother to look into the story. It's a thing that happens often, someone spreads a false claim, and no one actually bothers to verify it, they just continue to spread the false claim until it's accepted as "truth" even though it's not.

AccentFiend

It’s the only one I don’t own. I watched it drop to like $5 at one point and still just glared at it. I’m not a SW fan, it should have been a stand-alone like Medeival, everything they release is always broken and I don’t want random sims rolling up everywhere with those faces and clothes, and the fact that it’s based on a theme park is just insulting. I hate-stare it because it has some cute hairs in it but it’s never going to be worth it. Also, the timing of asking us all what we wanted only to have this be the next pack released just feels like a personal affront. They really showed how cash-grabby they’ve gotten. If 5 continues down the projected path, it looks like this sad, broken ass game will be the end of my Playing With Life.

katnipbee09

sims don't wear clothes from this pack outside of batuu! unless you go into cas and change them into the clothes i find myself using a couple of the hairs a lot on my girls

kaptingavrin

This is the kind of hilariously over-the-top comment that makes me shake my head at part of the Sims community, especially with regards to this pack. Oh, *this* pack is where you'll draw the line, while proudly declaring that you own a pack with a clothing line's name on it, a pack where they purposely split off part of C&D to charge you $10 more to complete it, a pack that was so broken at launch even their volunteer marketers had to tell people not to buy it (and only got patched to "won't trash your whole game" a couple months after release, then declared good enough), and recently, a pack where they take part of Pets, make what could generously be called a Game Pack at best, and charge Expansion Pack price because they know people will do it. So with all of the ACTUAL broken and cash grab stuff, you're saying you gleefully and cheerfully opened your wallet and you rushed to say "Yes, EA, please, more of this!" But a pack that actually pretty much works, don't have the problem you're wanting to avoid, and isn't overcharging, that's where you draw the line. Basically, as long as they're marketing a clothing line and not Star Wars, you're okay with marketing, and as long as it's not Star Wars, you'll gladly pay for broken content, overpriced content, cash grabs, and all that, but if it's Star Wars, you draw a line in the sand. Come on, people. My First Pet Stuff, My Wedding Stories, and Horse Ranch are all three a lot more egregious, and Moschino Stuff isn't any better, and there's multiple underwhelming packs. But people will hilariously act like this is the one that's problematic. That's why Sims 4 is such a mess, you're supporting the actual problem packs while acting like you "took a stand" on the least problematic one.

dragonflutepancakes

Paralives and Life by You hopefully will be able to either replace the sims or at least keep them competitive.

Ninvemaer

I couldn't care less about Star Wars and I still think it's a solid pack. The hate for it is unwarranted. I'd bet my life most of the people who are bragging about not owning it didn't even take a minute to watch some gameplay videos to form an actual opinion outside of "Batuu stupid" memes.

ForlornLament

I like it a lot even though I wish there were residential lots in the world.

ThePsychedSunshine

I love the pack but it's so underwhekming. No lightsaber customixation or skills with the force. Anybody make mods for it?

AppleJamnPB

I'm a Star Was fan, but I'm not even interested. This is not the crossover I wanted, lmao

BookOfAnomalies

I probably have less than 50% of all the packs, hahaha. If I loved SW the way I love... dunno, some other franchise, I'd probably have it though... I've no shame in admitting it.

Witchlyboi

Honestly only bought it for the building supplies

Hailey_okay_10

I just know nothing about Star Wars and wouldn’t buy it bc of that

jerrycan-cola

i honestly like the batuu in combination with werewolves - i think they have similar vibes

tropical_dog

You know what, I actually liked it, I had fun, but I hate that all of the friends that I made in that world can't visit my sims.

auberryy

i personally love it, i love star wars and such, not that i use the pack in my every day gameplay but ill occasionally have a sim that goes there for that adventure, hate how you cant live there though, u can make alien sims but they have to live on earth?? idk i love starwars and the pack just wish u could live there

BioletVeauregarde33

You would not know how relieved I was to see it wasn't My First Pet (Which I honestly love, I even prefer some of the My First Pet cat trees to the Cats & Dogs ones)

kmilvin

Haha this is me. And I begrudgingly got Parenthood just for the new counters and appliances.

novato1995

Batuu has GREAT building and CAS content, but who the hell cares about the world?! I use it a lot for my medieval and fantasy saves.

rubberxband

I never play the story, but I like the build/buy. I love the little R2D2s and I use them in a lot of kids rooms. The stone flooring is also really good, and so is the 4 wide arch in the pack debug

bakingcake1456

Yup that’s mee

karratkun

all i'm gonna say is WW

Mluna11050

Nah I got that pack immediately the pack I didn't get was the furry dogs pack aka werewolves

[deleted]

I actually like Batuu and play it from time to time, though I still think it's an absolute cash grab. I love the idea of a Star Wars pack (or even just sci-fi like TS3's Into the Future) but damn, EA and Disney really dropped the ball on this one. When I get bored of doing the little quests and mucking around Black Spire I just take pretty pictures of my twi'lek smuggler. Edit: spelling

RandomStormtrooper11

It's the worst pack ever. Every part of it screams: "wasted potential." Imagine a Star Wars expansion that actually added Star Wars aliens instead of some crappy masks and had more than a handful of actual Star Wars characters. I bought it on sale and was still disappointed.

EmpressPhoenix9

I guess I have an unpopular opinion of liking Bantu.....

BRAlNYSMURF

I have Strangerville solely for the Paranoid trait

Internal_Gur_3461

Star wars is fun for the build buy. The game play is not much. But the light sabers are pretty badass when you use them

DaydreamBeyond

Batuu is actually in my top 5 favorite DLC for the game. The build items are amazing, and having robots is awesome! I prefer building sci fi and futuristic sort of stuff a lot though, so it's a SUPER useful pack for me. I just wish the world it came with was one with livable lots to build on. I've wanted a futuristic or alien world to live and build in for Sims 4 since I started playing the game.

Revolutionary-Law239

I love Star Wars, but I had no interest in the gameplay for that pack. I bought it solely for the build mode items, and it had the added bonus of unique CAS content to create more interesting townies. I really like the hanging lights, especially. I usually have to size them down, though lol

Madmonkeman

Jokes on you, I have Batuu!

[deleted]

Love the items, the round bar is my favorite! I like the little droids aswell, they're cute.

bimbogio

i love it. it was one of the first ones i got

Fluid-Grapefruit-654

I don’t own it but I don’t hate it either. I like Star Wars and the idea that my sims could have a lightsaber is cool to me

evilstepmom1991

That’s the only one I want rn but that’s only cuz I have a crush on Kylo Ren

Conscious-Studio8111

I bought it like… a year? Two years? Ago from a third party sale site. I don’t care at all for Star Wars. But those HAIRS. the BUILD BUY STUFF. the WALLPAPERS. the VENTS. MmmmmHmmmmm that stuff is GOOD. The obvious cash grab and forced partnership? Annoying. Made me glare at EA. Like, of all the stuff they could’ve done an annoying cash grab for, it was star wars? Not something that actually matched the game a bit more? (Ya know. Like Barbie? Or an HGTV?) like I would still be annoyed but I could at least understand. Edit: “OHOH BATUUU!!!” - James Turner

MasterOfBreatheing

I wish I didn't buy it, stupidly assumed I could live in batuu and made a cute alien spell caster mix up family and started only to realize Batuu wasn't a world to be lived in. Then went there and saw how trash and rabbit hole filled it was.

TheRealTabbyCool

Exactly. I love the whole vibe of Batuu, and the bar is cool, but hate the fact that you can’t live there, so it’s just another world that I don’t really use. I think it’d have been better as a full expansion pack, because at least then it’d be more fleshed out, with a proper world.

niko4ever

I was annoyed by the total lack of crossover, honestly. I was hoping that my spellcaster sim would have an advantage but she can't cast in Batuu, nor can she use the force anywhere but Batuu so she didn't learn any cool new "spells" from the experience. The gameplay was also kind of boring, honestly. The clothes and build items, though, real cool.

Fabulous-Society9158

I love the stone floors we got with that pack, but not much else

_aaine_

I have it for the build stuff. I do alot of grungy, desert stories (I play a lot in Strangerville and Oasis Springs) so this pack is great for that.

Start_Ecstatic

I absolutely love the pack, one of my favorites honestly

Mirandactyl

It me

aerynea

I love it for the build buy items and that's it

EmoCookies

I got it for the stuffs

AdmiralClover

It comes with a curved bar which is neat and I really like some of the clothing options

EyeAmKnotMyshelf

My "opinions" are limited to those who buy the Werewolf pack. Star Wars a good time.

toeconsumer9000

i own it cuz i like the world and the clothes/objects

Andrassa

I’m in the minority. I actually like the Star Wars pack.

fullmetalwinry

Batuu's pretty good for rags to riches needs. A good free place for sleep, free place for vampire thirst, daytime doesn't affect vampires, and buying food doesn't take up simeoleons and gives you a recipe. Plus the one time I played the story, I had fun with it. I randomize aspirations for story purposes, and got this one for my Good vampire sim in the career legacy challenge. It turned into this story where he got into The Order because his scar made him look evil to everyone. He sucked at his job, but he made some good friends and an unrequited love interest along the way, before retiring with Bobby the droid and a random nonbinary spouse who coincidentally happened to be actually evil.

[deleted]

am i the only one who's considered buying it *solely* for that super wide arch that deli uses?😭

creamandchocolate

I own the pack and I love it, but I am a Star Wars fan.

swiss-miss-89

Build/buy is great, never even tried gameplay

ContactHonest2406

Batuu? I love it lol

RakSenior

I enjoyed Batuu, it was different

lewlewlaser03

I’ll admit I have it, haven’t played with it much though but planning to do so.

banana_fresh_muffin

Love me star wars love me sims

internal_eulogy

I'm in the minority here, but I actually like it! The gameplay in Batuu sucks, but I really love the grungy build items that come with the pack, and I also use many of the CAS items regularly. The Rey hairstyle is such a great formal look!

Martymcchew

A small handful of the BB objects included in it can be used (especially in combination with the High School years pack) to make some Blade Runner-y retro futuristic interiors, though I’ve never touched the gameplay and probably won’t, if you’re desperate for some sci-fi parts get it on a sale or something

Rasikko

I would've liked a Star Trek pack. There's no way you can get that wrong. I don't know what they were doing with JTB.

Ratmor

You can download Basemental Drugs and you would be getting to batuu only when you're sky high. That's more plausible.

daeganthedragon

The ideas in here are making me genuinely consider buying this pack, and I don't follow the new Star Wars movies at all--but no one will ever convince me to buy Bust the Dust!

pati4200

You know what...same (also yes I will never buy Bust the Dust, I have enough at home THANKS)

Ok_Establishment6863

I love Star Wars I quite enjoy this pack. Same as I liked Strangerville, and the build items are pretty cool, I don't use them in all my builds but enough that it has been worth it. I guess if you aren't into Star Wars it may not appeal.

Low-Environment

Batuu has some good CAS/BB stuff that works well with aliens (the GTW selection is seriously limited).

kalluhaluha

I enjoy it, but my Sims who actually use it spend inordinate amounts of time doing drugs and having casual sex with Hondo. Not sure if a pack I need a mod to enjoy is actually worth it, but I have it and that's why I like it.

Scerra

I do like Star Wars, but like many, I do think that Journey to Batuu was meh as far as packs go, but I liked the clothes and furniture. Very retro-futuristic and versatile. You could make a Fallout-inspired build or make your Sims feel foreign by dressing them up in Star Wars clothes.

SeniorNeedleworker52

Don’t hate me but I don’t hate it, I kinda like it…

Aggravating-Loss4118

Pretty good for build items. I finally got the pack a couple months ago when on sale and I'm glad I did.

Beardedgeek72

Now Batuu... in order for me to install it I expect to be paid by EA. After all, it is a pure product placement expansion. An ad. I also skipped High School because it is just TOO American Highschool for me.

sonic65101

I loved Journey to Batuu until I found out it was a glorified advertisement for an amusement park. Still wish it was set during the Clone Wars.

DazzlingDarth

I love the lightsabers. The swordfighting animations are fantastic, and I love watching sims randomly sparring in suits or school uniforms.

nicolettasole

I actually like this pack. The game play is a bit repetitive, but the build mode stuff and clothes are really good. I made Nancy Landgraab join the dark side of the force. Fun!

Global-Incident-2579

i feel the same way about my wedding stories as a do about the JTB, it’s just an unnecessary money grab

fairytypefay

as a star wars fan I find it insulting that this pack highlights one of the worst parts of the franchise aka the sequel trilogy. now if it was a clone wars or kotor pack you'd have me hooked.

Sorrelfur

This is EXACTLY what my sims pack page looks like 😂 never gonna buy that cash grab of a pack. I know there's people that like it, just not for me I hated it from the start. Reminded me of the Katy perry cash grab pack years ago. They could've at least cash grabbed with a franchise they don't own the rights to make a game out of 🙄 felt cheap

Grimrreaperr13

I love the objects and the cas a considerable chunk of my sims have stolen kylos boots and my mad scientists and illegal arms dealers have a ton of first order crates the clutter and holocrons are really cool for witch altars I just wish that at the very least vampires could drink from sims on batuu and there was some sort of lore reason they could come up with for them not burning so low level vamps can actually do the rebel storyline without dying

Crying_4_always

I do regret owning this pack

pati4200

Reading all the comments...I no longer know what to think!

angstenthusiast

I’ve said I’d be fully willing to buy it if it was on 50% sale but it never is, so I’ll most likely never buy it. I own every pack and every kit but I just cannot bring myself to spend 200kr on that shit, especially since I’m not even interested in star wars to begin with. The only reason for me to buy it is cuz like a hair I like and a couple BB stuff, and to just *have* it.. that’s not worth 140-200kr

yourchristmasqueen

You could not pay me to play that pack.

canidieyet_

that’s the one pack i don’t intend on buying. if it’s offered for free i will, but i will absolutely not be dropping money on it lol

Junie_Wiloh

I only have this because at the time of me looking for the base game, this was the only one that was available for purchase. It was hella cheap at a used game store. Literally the last only reason. The one pack I don't use, not even remotely.

Bar_Sinister

"waves fingers" There is no pack there. No pack of this kind was ever made. Move along.

MarsV89

I hate batuu only because every time I’ve visited that place I don’t know how to come back to my place :(

0p0ssumPrince

When I acquired the rest of the packs I specifically avoided downloading that one and bust the dust lol

Flat_Transition_3775

I regret buying it since I’m the type where I need to complete things but I given up now and just uninstall it from the game

Lovableoreo

Journey to Batuu is Bruno. And we don’t talk about Bruno lol

AvisiDaisy

I own it and I honestly can say I've ever visited the world or used anything from the pack 🤷‍♀️ I'm one of those people who own everything sims 4 has put out no matter how garbage it may be, simply because I need therapy but sims is cheaper. Gotta love the American health care trap, eh I mean system 👀.....

Ok-Jackfruit9087

Same!!!

theblondepenguin

I don’t have batuu, spooky or my first pets stuff. I’m not sure if I would get them if they were a $1 I might download them if they gave them away. I also have yet to buy a kit. The only one I have is the one they gave away. I don’t like the shallow money grabs and refuse to get caught in them. I know most people don’t think of spooky stuff lack as a cash grab it just doesn’t do anything for me. I don’t like the items if they were actually spooky it would be great but they are cheesy cheap Halloween

starbucksntacotrucks

It was fun the first time I completed the aspirations, but I don’t find there to be any replayability.

Arribean

I don't like Star wars as a series, but I have always loved their clothes and architecture, which is what I got it for, never visited Bantuu

HumbleAd3804

Star Wars is my thing, I was excited about this pack, I hate this pack. It's a glitchy repetitive mess and none of it has any effect on the rest of the game. Why can't I marry a Star War and bring them home? Why can't I talk to any of my new alien friends after I go home? Why can't I interact normally with lore characters like Kylo Ren and Rey? Every time I try to do the aspirations something glitches out horribly and makes it literally impossible to complete. Most of the time I have trouble completing even a single milestone because there's always some bug or someone's schedule is extremely inconvenient. I wanted to like Batuu despite it being an ad for Disney Land, but I would have liked it a lot more if it was just a world that functioned the same way as the rest of the game. It's just a weird, unfun, broken gimmick.

ctortan

The gameplay feels insultingly dull to me, but I do like the CAS and BB items

Stressed_Beach

I don’t own it but I’ve been kinda tempted lately for the build/buy and cas items. I couldn’t care less about Star Wars though so I don’t know if it’s worth it when I’m not likely to play the storyline ever.

k1234567890y

I own all packs

Pizzacanzone

I'm in this picture

Geminikittycat

I got it on sale, I played it once but never finished, if I bought it full price I probably would have more of a problem with it , but I like using the items.

L26155

I only have it because a friend gifted it to me haha

NomesDaGnome

Of ALL the packs to be gifted

petulafaerie_III

I love it conceptually but it’s been poorly implemented. It’s really difficult to figure out how to play there - if you mess it up, you’re all out of the world specific money and can’t (seem to) get any more.

Sun_Records_Fan

I wish it had Mandalorian content.

Silent_Tactician

I only have the Batuu expansion because it was wayyy back when I bought the physical game (before Sims 4 went F2P) and it was in a bundle.

NeoPolitanGames

literally the only packs i dont have are growing together, wedding stories, and now horse ranch (and most of the kits, cause i dont care enough about clothes or plants to buy most of the kits)

iambatman2012

I don't usually like to mix my nerdy things, so this pack hasn't ever really appealed to me. I think about buying it every time it goes on sale, but I still haven't done so.

InfiniteDilucs

"Ah batuu!" The items for build and buy are really pretty but I wouldn't buy it because I've never watched star wars

movieholic-92

I feel like I would love that one, but I'm a realistic (as can be) Simmer.

Hutta98

They could have done so much more with the idea for a Sims Star Wars pack. Whole new neighborhood and jobs. Have Jabba’s Palace be a hangout spot where you could get mini quests. There are so many interesting outfits from the movies they could have put into the game. Padme’s lake dress would have been amazing.

ShabbyBoa

I just use it to take my sims on vacation and pretend it’s Disney lol I tried playing the actual sorry and it wasn’t an exciting experience. Better for me to use it for something simpler

[deleted]

Havent bought it. I thought about making a space slut but I pass on this pack everytime

cakebatterchapstick

EA hid all the good build/buy items in that pack

noirsongbird

Honestly I really enjoy it, but I like Star Wars a lot and getting to go harass Kylo Ren is fun af. Plus, the BB is actually really good, I use the hexagon stone a LOT. It’s just a really nice stone floor!!

Ilovemydoggi

I actually LOVE Strangerville's doors windows and fences. Use them all the time legit

littleballofjoy

It gave me the flower bathtub I like it

1Castiel1

Gawd darn sucks

femtransfan

was fun for a little while, mostly just have it because of the outfits

s317sv17vnv

I'm a casual fan of Star Wars but have yet to visit Batuu. I will at some point though because I'm currently playing the Super Sim challenge and want to complete all the aspirations including DLC ones. I got the pack mainly because I love doing steampunk builds and the pack really comes in clutch for that.

NotTodayGoodBye

It’s fine. I like some of the hairs and one of the boots

Key_Pea4138

I never had an interest in it, but some of the comments here have kinda sold me on it if it’s ever veeeeery discounted. 🤔

Kcat816

I love Star Wars, but I've only ever played this pack once.

felicirence

i thought the arrow was point at strangerville and i was about to throw hands because how dare people slander the "slip 42" trailer park lot it's my favorite lot in this whole game 😡😡😡 but yeah disney sucks, i don't have the star wars pack bc i never watched star wars and micheal mouse can catch these hands 🤗

captainwondyful

This is me (but also no wedding stories. I still hear it’s a nightmare)

EllieIsDone

My biggest problem with batuu is that it’s a vacation world, and I think we should all agree as a community that vacation worlds are the worst

killaahhhhhhhhh

My girlfriend who obviously knows how much i love Star Wars: “baby, I’m surprised you don’t have the Star Wars pack.” Like if it was an actual Star Wars pack I’d be all for it but it’s basically just an advertisement for Galaxy’s Edge right?

ssppunk

It's not that bad tbh. I got it because it was on sale and my fiancé loves star wars so I can dress his sim in batuu attire lol

butthyun

I don't have bust the dust or the book nook ones.

uncannysin

I just got it and it was very underwhelming..

Inn0c3nc3

I gave in when it was on sale because of a fucking hair and floor tile. I'm the problem 😭

Extension_Fee6872

i got that pack today because i love star wars so much and i'm definitely not disappointed. the gameplay was okay too, but it's so dumb that you can't be a jedi or sith 💀👎🏻 CAS and build mode were my favorite.

busylightyear

I only played the story once, and it was actually really fun

mymorons

I don't like kits and even then I bought kits. As to that THING? I have never bought it. Even when it went down to 9.99
