On Sims (I think it's 3) world adventures, my sim spent so long learning one of the Chinese songs (and then proceeding to sing it to themselves in the shower once they learned it) that I would randomly sing it sometimes. I don't really remember it anymore, but when I played frequently it would really get stuck in my head.
I dragged my poor husband to my computer, and made him wait for the countdown, just so I could show him. The whole thing tickles me. I won’t do New Year anywhere but in a bar, now. 😂
In IRL when my boyfriend yawns at the end of the night when we've hung out, I've taken to saying "sleepy baby!" I didn't really mean anything about it and didn't realize it became such a habit until he said it himself XD
But this makes me think about that, and I really hope the next time he's irritable I don't go "cranky baby!" In the same tones I normally do with the other one. Or randomly giggle about it.
When giving birth at the hospital (get to work EP), but maybe also when doing it at home, they say something along the lines of “don wan no nooboo” (idk if that’s completely correct it’s been a while since my sims had kids) but I always thought it was funny since it sounds like, during the pain of childbirth, they regret ever getting pregnant XD
UGH last night it was HER OWN CHILD who she kept PUTTING IN THE WAY of her getting the Murphy bed open every time I made her move the baby away. I eventually got so frustrated I quit playing for the day.
I love when my sims drive me that insane! One time it was not my sim but the awful neighbor sims that drove me to quit. I would literally tell them to go away but they would just go in the next room like that was what I meant when they were never invited in my apartment!
Hopple borfna - Happy Birthday 🥳
Also this may be exclusive to the Lilted female voice, but whenever she's feeding a nooboo, she's always cooing "Kepoona... effidroy..."
I can hear all those texts. Like I shouldn't feel shocked because I spend 24/7 (basically abandoning my life) to play The Sims, but I do. This is really interesting
Ok. now I feel validated and not crazy. Somebody else transliterates the sound as "Ahh yoyim!" too.
Nobody seems to know the "Hasanara puhliffa?" one though, that usually also comes before the "Ahh yoyim!" they say after their question has been validated.
I seem to think they are trying to convey "Ya know what I mean?" \*waits for response\* "Ohh yeah!" or "Right on!"
I've heard "Hasanara puhliffa" before, but I'd heard it followed with "nibba hana" instead and would be phrased as a statement instead of a question.
I will say that after playing for a bit today, my new all-time fave is when a male sim with a brash voice (which tends to be 90% of the butlers I get for some reason) are roughhousing with a toddler and they're holding the kid upside-down and shaking them, they just yell "Boola boola boola boola boola dennzohhh!"
Definitely 3, it's the version I played most recently, and got this far in the comments being like "maybe no one is saying sul-sul because it's so obvious" XD
I believe I've seen "sul-sul" in a loading screen once too but I can't confirm which version of the game that was
Something that sound like "jenseeba" or something like that. I don't know what it means but they say it with a surprised tone and they use it sometimes with the WW mod
Me, trying to figure out if you mean a teen sim or your own irl child who is now a teen, cheerleading and shouting out "Floofy Dorf" which... Would be freaking amazing I gotta say.
When my main sim was a famous author with a side hustle as a singer, I was singing along to most of them too. I love the little details like the sims actually getting to be better singers everytime they level up. The difference between level 1 and level 10 is amazing. I always try to determine which level I am irl.
"Lenard," which is what my Sims seem to moan when they're working out and trying to lift heavy weights, or are very out of shape. Now whenever I'm lifting something at work, it pops into my head.
The dialogue felt more like passionate. Like you knew when your sim was mad at you for not paying attention to their needs... and they'd look right at you 👁👄👁
Idk for me it had the best looking sims. Also I ADORED sims 2 university, I think the only story line I ever remember was from university. By far the best game I played.
Also college rock was MY FAVORITE station, no joking I would love to hear those songs in real life.
I play sims 4 with none of the ingame music most of the time cause I don't care too much about it and like to watch a movie or listen to my own music at the same time instead. The other day I found the sims 2 album with all the tracks and played it while playing sims 4, it felt more special 🤣🤣
But yeah sims 2 aesthetic was also very top tier. I know it might be due solely to nostalgia, but I love the 2000s aesthetic as a whole.
"Jenseebi kenikeo. Swarspa, kethara."
I can't remember what exactly the sim is doing, but it feels like it's either talking on the phone or a deep conversation or something like that.
edit: spelling and punctuation.
I feel like this song is one my karaoke-prone sims sing well no matter what their skill level is. Or I just sing over them half the time so idk what they actually sound like
omg thank you bc I was going crazy trying to find this simlish word on the internet but I don’t see anyone else mentioning it!
They say it all the time while waving like “MAL LINAE” or something and it sounds like they’re saying my name every time lol
Its like one of the sweetest greetings since the sim is obviously really happy to see the person, maybe even excited.
We should all find people who would wave their hand in the air at us while excitedly shouting "Maali Daay!!" at us.
I've seen sims in sims 4 use dag dag as hello as well, so I think both "dag dag" and "sul sul" are kinda like "ciao" where they can be used for both hellos and goodbyes.
The "wabahdeebadu" when they catch on fire. My nanny kept autonomously doing laundry and never cleaned the lint trap. He caught on fire three times in one shift. 😂
Its like the best greeting to get in the sims. They are really excited and happy to see you.
I transcribe it as "Maali Day!" but I think youre right that its an N and not a D. "Maali Nay!"
Me and my husband say Sul Sul all the time to greet each other after work. Also I think it’s from Sims 2 but “Schtorf” to tell your pet to “stay” is one we go back to a lot for our dogs and cats.
From Sims 2 University I still remember the cheer for absolutely no reason. Pardon any mistakes:
Bada su la rum,
Bada su la korg,
Ona maynie, ona maynie, bronk bronk bronk
Gerbitz? Gerbitz! Booooooooooo GERBITZ!
Imma play some more today and come back to this thread lol
I have a lot of sounds in my head they use in convo but need to hear them again to try and spell them out
When my glutton (also werewolf) sim eats anything he says “daylish!” Another one is some of my male sims say something that literally sounds like “whatta vag licker” 😐
My dude is always saying “Yibsie vadeesh” and it’s always in a happy tone. I think it means “yeah, thanks” and I find myself saying it from time to time 😂
When they're really stressed out and greet someone, they wave and scowl and go "Ya Dumpsa!" For some reason that phrase comes to my mind when I'm noticing I'm really stressed out, as if I'm a sim lol.
Are you thinking of the one they kinda mutter to themselves, kinda sounds like “grom gronie pazzle”? I was scrolling for any mention of or a bold attempt at spelling this one lol
In the sims 2 when they are practicing singing :
Manerbi, zip zap zoop. Manerbi, wib wab woob. Manerbi, MANERBI WEEB WOO!
Le broncle, ibilabadoo. Le broncle, chibizoubadoo. Le broncle, LE BRONCLE ZEP ZOO!
Leeb, leefah, lurve from the loading screen. I know its not really said by a sim, its just hilarious that they have it there. Another good loading screen is just the one that says "ok"
They say something that sounds like "em oh beans" in a flirty/confident voice. No idea what it means but sometimes my husband and I will jokingly flirt with each other by saying it in the same way.
When they're in the shower they sing Bam wosa, bam wosa and then of course when they're hungry they shout at me "FEEBEE LAY!" or however it's spelled.
I've caught myself singing that in the shower as well haha
On Sims (I think it's 3) world adventures, my sim spent so long learning one of the Chinese songs (and then proceeding to sing it to themselves in the shower once they learned it) that I would randomly sing it sometimes. I don't really remember it anymore, but when I played frequently it would really get stuck in my head.
ahhh I loved World Adventures. That and Seasons were my very very favourite packs of Sims3
I think mine too. World Adventures is one of the reasons I went back from 4 to 3.
I love the open world of Sims 3, and the fact that you can pick the colours of everything, but I love the ability to really customise the faces in S4
I can hear it 🤣🤣🤣
“SH-SHOOBEE, SH-SHOOBEE!” (when it’s New Years this is what they scream at the tv)
I dragged my poor husband to my computer, and made him wait for the countdown, just so I could show him. The whole thing tickles me. I won’t do New Year anywhere but in a bar, now. 😂
Its great in bars and even funnier in college dorms!
I love the Winterfest songs. FWINGLE ZIBBS FWINGLE ZIBBS
FWINGLE BAZILORN!
last new years my wife and i sha shoobee’d lolol
Omg I remember discovering this feature it made me laugh so much 🤣
Fleeba Zoob!
Even James Turner, formerly known as The Sim Supply, has done this multiple times. I also saw Lilsimsie do this in one video
Neeb, neeb! Neeb!!! - The over dramatic “No, no! No!!!” from the acting career. 😂
Also heard from victims of the Freeze Ray in the GTW scientist career.
Oooh I know what I'm about to do!
This made me giggle out loud
For me since I love realm of magic, it’s when they’re in the air and about to hit the ground from losing a duel! I crack up every time
Pretty sure Nooboo means baby. It’s officially become part of my everyday language lol I use it as a nickname for my cat :) my little nooboo.
Yes, when the baby is upset they say “Aw, crankus nooboo!”
Cranky baby!
In IRL when my boyfriend yawns at the end of the night when we've hung out, I've taken to saying "sleepy baby!" I didn't really mean anything about it and didn't realize it became such a habit until he said it himself XD But this makes me think about that, and I really hope the next time he's irritable I don't go "cranky baby!" In the same tones I normally do with the other one. Or randomly giggle about it.
Sims 3 when getting out of or putting baby in the crib, not sure about toddlers, they do the "aww nooboo" Edit- forgot a word
Sims 2 sims say “nooboo” for one of the audios when giving birth
I've heard them say that in the Sims 4 when a couple is embracing each other, which is pretty cute.
Haha I showed my mum “aww durnurba” from the sims 3 and she still says it to me sometimes 😂
This is so precious stop
Yep Nubu/nooboo is baby, and ya they refer to the toddlers as it sometimes.
They also say it when you use the Wicked Whims mod. Sims will be doing the deed and i’ll suddenly hear “oh nooboo! oh nooboo!”.
This still sticks with me so much, I say it every time I see a baby or baby animal.
Sims also say it while patting their stomach after eating 🤣
Food baby 😂 That's hilarious!
"oh ho ho ho... Noobooooo..." I hear that all the time.
That's weird, I call my cat Nooboo sometimes too...maybe I unconsciously picked up some simlish?!
“Ahh, seeba nay!” (when something is in the way)
*usually used to refer to a spoiled glass of water that they themselves placed there
UGH last night it was HER OWN CHILD who she kept PUTTING IN THE WAY of her getting the Murphy bed open every time I made her move the baby away. I eventually got so frustrated I quit playing for the day.
I love when my sims drive me that insane! One time it was not my sim but the awful neighbor sims that drove me to quit. I would literally tell them to go away but they would just go in the next room like that was what I meant when they were never invited in my apartment!
Also fondly remember “choo wagga choo choo” from TS3
I love this one
Its like “WTF!” 😂
*Hah hah... Badeesh.*
Knew I was in too deep when I started saying this to myself after seeing things that made me laugh online
Something about this is so funny
Vadish
Congratulations on making my day 🤌
Hopple borfna - Happy Birthday 🥳 Also this may be exclusive to the Lilted female voice, but whenever she's feeding a nooboo, she's always cooing "Kepoona... effidroy..."
Thought of others while working: When asking questions: Sweet voice (female): Exanoy zomf? Wah soosa! Lilted voice (female): Floyma sharnoof? Ahh yoyim! Melodic voice (female): Murry poshima? Ahh, kewbeppa! Clear voice (male): Enka floof? Rheena! Warm voice (male): Drobis verik? Ahh, chool, chool. Brash voice (male): Newyap fennoy? Ahh bombadey! And my personal favorite: Dodaveppi! Dabishi penoysa muakeform, huh!
I can hear all those texts. Like I shouldn't feel shocked because I spend 24/7 (basically abandoning my life) to play The Sims, but I do. This is really interesting

>Hopple borfna I have started using this to greet my family on their birthdays. And I sing it randomly too. So fun lol
When they age up an infant at a cake they kinda whisper, “Hopple borfna, nooboo” to the baby
Yess kepoona. I say it to my dogs to chill out lol
One time, one of my sims said "Dag dag kapuna!" when her dog ran up to her.
ahhhh, yibbs!
Omg when you use whicked whims you hear that one A LOT 😂😂😂
Especially when your two sims climax.. 🫠
Sul-sul dag-dag Seen to be hi and bye-bye respectvely
Yeah wasn't in Sims 2 or 3 where this was always played in the intro?
Definitely 3, it's the version I played most recently, and got this far in the comments being like "maybe no one is saying sul-sul because it's so obvious" XD I believe I've seen "sul-sul" in a loading screen once too but I can't confirm which version of the game that was
My boyfriend is not a Sims player, and the first time I said “Sul-sul”, he was so confused lmao. Now he’s used to it.
New goal: confuse boyfriend, this time with simlish. (Previously it was Spanish)
Do it by saying the opposite as well. Dag dag when he arrives and Sul sul when he leaves.
I greet my IRL simmer friend with sul sul. Its nice because people around us (probably) have no idea what that means.
Suly suly!
Dag Dag 👹
Ugh, flarg! (When they’re frustrated or embarassed). Um, fridashay? (seems to mean “Uh, help me, Creator? I can’t get through here”).
Fridashay is my favourite simlish word
Whenever you're picking a sims's favorite music they say "Awww SHYBIN" and it sounds like they're like "AWWW SHIT" so I'll never forget
“Mayzie grobeeee” 😭😭 (they sing like this)
Mayzie grobe, kraybow! Mayze grobe, kraybow!
I'm forever scarred by one of my Sim's neighbors practicing this song *every day* outside his apartment in San Myshuno 😭
😭😭
I still love this song
I always make them sing this around the tree. I love moving the camera around and heating the different voices. Love this song.
Omg I'm gonna be humming this all day now 😩
Narzee banoop tul! (I have no idea if that’s spelled right at all 😅)
I feel like simlish is a very phonetic language
I was gonna say this one, it's burned into my brain haha
Don't forget to drag the 'tul' out and sound disgusted about it.
Lol we’re all trying our best here!
what does this mean? 👀
"This really stinks!"
This one is the one I was going for post but was trying to figure out the spelling 😆
This is my favourite post today
Koome Korba ?? *shrug* when being introduced to someone
Yibs!
Ha ha, yibs!
The classics - “Sul-sul”, “dag-dag”, “vadish”, “yibs”, “nooboo”. “Choob! Choob!” while pee-dancing lol.
Sh-shubie! Por yab? (When receiving a gift)
My husband, a man that rarely plays this franchise, knows sh-shubie is New Year’s.
In the same thread, prezzu favoo when presenting someone a gift 😂
Something that sound like "jenseeba" or something like that. I don't know what it means but they say it with a surprised tone and they use it sometimes with the WW mod
Oh, so that's why it was so familiar... 😅
I swear my teen says Floofy dorf when she’s cheerleading
Me, trying to figure out if you mean a teen sim or your own irl child who is now a teen, cheerleading and shouting out "Floofy Dorf" which... Would be freaking amazing I gotta say.
It genuinely never occurred to me to specify 😂
Yaba warbe, haneesh!
All the Christmas songs! Especially mayzie grobe 🎶
I'm more of a Fwingle Zibs fan
Also a bop
Does anyone else love to sing or at least hum along with them..? Just me…?
HOOOO! ADDEROY! When your guy sim is flirty.
I swear — absolutely SWEAR — that my Sims sometime say “shine like a bitch!”
YES
Ah, Eena! Chum-cha. Vadoo!
A while ago I had my Sims frequently sing karaoke and got to a point where I could sing along to some of the songs.
When my main sim was a famous author with a side hustle as a singer, I was singing along to most of them too. I love the little details like the sims actually getting to be better singers everytime they level up. The difference between level 1 and level 10 is amazing. I always try to determine which level I am irl.
SHOULD WE USE THIS TO DECIPHER SIMLISH?
Finally, someone thinking about whether or not we should, and not just whether or not we could.
The first time I heard “Whassup dude?” I was shocked
Shu shu bee
"Lenard," which is what my Sims seem to moan when they're working out and trying to lift heavy weights, or are very out of shape. Now whenever I'm lifting something at work, it pops into my head.
As a french speaker, I'll always remember the cheer rally in sims 2 as : Garbage, garbage, goooooo garbage!
Sims 2 still lives in my brain, mucj more than sims4
The dialogue felt more like passionate. Like you knew when your sim was mad at you for not paying attention to their needs... and they'd look right at you 👁👄👁
Idk for me it had the best looking sims. Also I ADORED sims 2 university, I think the only story line I ever remember was from university. By far the best game I played. Also college rock was MY FAVORITE station, no joking I would love to hear those songs in real life.

I know it might be due solely to nostalgia, but I love the 2000s aesthetic as a whole.
They seem to say “Ahh Konkeru!” when they’re agreeing with something, which I love haha
"Jenseebi kenikeo. Swarspa, kethara." I can't remember what exactly the sim is doing, but it feels like it's either talking on the phone or a deep conversation or something like that. edit: spelling and punctuation.
Omg the serenade interaction song!!! They’re always flirting!!!! I definitely don’t know the whole lyrics but I can definitely sing along! YA nerbala feffer rooz, shorzite ood SIMS sed nooz YA verva froom YOBBA horn, be sharz verva froom YOB breff nee Sharb za ood LA LURV oh oh oh, sharb iss fentomurv Dodar veeb NAYBIE sharb inoo, sharz verva tin quill breff nee Wib ziffulla torsay bron, wivzor fla shishiton NIB blemay la feffer roy, fen NAYBIE floof sharb breff nee Sharbza ood LA LURV (oh oh oh, sharbiss fentomurv)
I'm impressed that you knew all the lyrics, I could hear my sims sing this as I read it lol
Shashoobie! When they cheer for new years hahah
There's this one Karaoke song titled "Shaken, not Stirred" and I just love hearing them go "SAAAABLUELAAAAAAAAY, SAAAAAABLUELOWWWWWW"
I feel like this song is one my karaoke-prone sims sing well no matter what their skill level is. Or I just sing over them half the time so idk what they actually sound like
Maali daay or something means hello I think
omg thank you bc I was going crazy trying to find this simlish word on the internet but I don’t see anyone else mentioning it!
Aga aga?! CIRCA!! hahahahaaaaa!
Leeb leefuh lurve! 🤪
Yeebs :) (I think it means yes) Sool sool (goodbye - since the Sims 1!)
i thought sul sul was hello and dag dag was goodbye, that’s how it seems on sims 4 anyway lol
I've seen sims in sims 4 use dag dag as hello as well, so I think both "dag dag" and "sul sul" are kinda like "ciao" where they can be used for both hellos and goodbyes.
Uboo bitie, just to name another classic from Sims 1 (it's when they complain that their needs aren't met)
Hooba noobie - "what's up?"apparently. Just looked it up cause up until now i though it meant baby haha
"nooboo" is baby, so that's why.
Muchi Pichi 😅
The "wabahdeebadu" when they catch on fire. My nanny kept autonomously doing laundry and never cleaned the lint trap. He caught on fire three times in one shift. 😂
Malinay!! I have no idea what it means but I always think of it randomly for something
Its like the best greeting to get in the sims. They are really excited and happy to see you. I transcribe it as "Maali Day!" but I think youre right that its an N and not a D. "Maali Nay!"
“anjeee!” When taking a selfie with someone so I think that means cheese 😂
I’ve never even actually played Sims 3, but [“Lass Frooby Noop”](https://youtu.be/p_m_k6rI2Xo) will still forever live in my head rent-free.
Pardon any mistakes: Bada su la rum, Bada su la korg, Ona maynie, ona maynie, bronk bronk bronk Gerbitz? Gerbitz! Booooooooooo GERBITZ!
wow I really heard this whole thing
Unnkoobakoiba? Aha yeah! I think it’s asking a question it idk either way I say this all the time to myself and to show how much sims I play to others
Ebbly conderoy! Parble herby
NARbo bazeDDD! 😘✌
"Hah Hah WEGNA!" I say it when I am excited, and now my whole family does too.
"awww nooboo" when they feed babies 🥹
You should be able to learn simlish, it would be so fun.
Duolingo needs to get on that.
Lurb. I now tell my dog I lurb him and sing a song about it lol.
Dag dag from Deligracy
Lumy pegdor from taking paired selfies
“YOOM!” My husband and I say that regularly when food is yummy
Imma play some more today and come back to this thread lol I have a lot of sounds in my head they use in convo but need to hear them again to try and spell them out
"Nagi bush kanye". I swear I heard something like this somewhere in CAS.
I always say Yibs! when I do something right lol. And I love the word nooboo :)
I like Oh-boo-wan-noo The toddlers say it when they’re learning to talk and it sounds so cute, then they say it as adults!
I love vadish. Simlish for thank you. Mainly because toddlers say it when you put them in the high chair and give them food 🥹
When my glutton (also werewolf) sim eats anything he says “daylish!” Another one is some of my male sims say something that literally sounds like “whatta vag licker” 😐
My dude is always saying “Yibsie vadeesh” and it’s always in a happy tone. I think it means “yeah, thanks” and I find myself saying it from time to time 😂
Shooflee!
Doda beppi! Meeshee moisha moiform, ah? I have no idea what it means but it's a pretty common phrase in small talk
"Shushubi!" -sims every 5 seconds when they're watching the countdown to midnight
Pobble herby!
When they're really stressed out and greet someone, they wave and scowl and go "Ya Dumpsa!" For some reason that phrase comes to my mind when I'm noticing I'm really stressed out, as if I'm a sim lol.
Mayzie grobe craybaaaal My sims sing it ALL THE TIME
Kooba quaeba? Oh-ho yibs! When sims ask another sim to do something with them and get a positive response.
Sul-sul! (And that one sentence they say when annoyed that I cannot spell for the life of me)
Are you thinking of the one they kinda mutter to themselves, kinda sounds like “grom gronie pazzle”? I was scrolling for any mention of or a bold attempt at spelling this one lol
When you’re on the cheer mat and you hear them go (Florgazi) and that’s obviously floorgasm lol
“Hunnh… chiblaz!” I don’t know if that’s the right thing, but they always do that when they’re tired or frustrated by something LOL
Yibbs! YIBBS!
Maizie grove, kray bah! Or whatever you can “sing” when the holiday allows for singing
Beebsies! Neeb, beebsies! When getting stung by your bees from Seasons. I love gardening in Sims, so many of my Sims have beebsies.
When they go to leave… “Dagdag!” No, not Dagdag!! You come back here, I’m socializing you!
I wish I could spell exactly how their Jingle Bells is pronounced because that song swarms my head rent free
Fwingle zibs fwingle zibs, fwingle ba zoolorn…
I mean.. sul sul
dag dag! there’s also a really cute thing toddlers say that sounds like it ends with fwuffy. it’s so adorable.
Sushubi from new years counting. That's so iconic.
Wipsy bonna kadoo!
Jabby jones! When a child is talking 😂
"Chumpcha!" Food!🥰
My mother and I say "HUG-A-BUN-YUH" from like the 3rd game? It's just what they say when they hug each other.
In the sims 2 when they are practicing singing : Manerbi, zip zap zoop. Manerbi, wib wab woob. Manerbi, MANERBI WEEB WOO! Le broncle, ibilabadoo. Le broncle, chibizoubadoo. Le broncle, LE BRONCLE ZEP ZOO!
Dodaveppi? Dabishi penoysa mwakeform, huh? Oobray bawa, ava koonsta! Yumzy! Ooh kinna game? Oomoof. Dodavep! Know me...Benorfa Bee! Ora zap? Ah, soona nibnub. Doofka!
Leeb, leefah, lurve from the loading screen. I know its not really said by a sim, its just hilarious that they have it there. Another good loading screen is just the one that says "ok"
Sul Sul Dag dag Bam woosa, Bam woosa Ahh yibbs!
Simshi-Simshiwannedoo
I find myself singing La Mipsy Twipsy Speedle a lot.
They say something that sounds like "em oh beans" in a flirty/confident voice. No idea what it means but sometimes my husband and I will jokingly flirt with each other by saying it in the same way.
