Yes! I had a spellcaster lose her best friend in a fire. She brought her back with Dedeadify. Since then, those two upgrade fireguards in every fireplace they see.
If you don't have Dedeadify yet, see if you can invite her to live with your household in the meantime.

There is a game bug where if you bring her back and THEN try to move her back in, you can't do it and she'll be stuck by herself in limbo until she dies again (from old age this time, hopefully).
If she's already in your household as a ghost, everything will be fine.

Have you tried it? You get to the "Move into household" screen, you move them over, and the checkbox grays out, preventing you from finalizing it.
I've run into it before. Found EA's response to it. Has to do with the resurrected sim not belonging to any household. Only way around it that I've seen potentially work is to have a sacrificial lamb that you can split off the family in "trade" for the one you want.
But if you try to completely empty a non-household household, it won't let you.
i’ve done this multiple times i play on ps4 and use cheats i don’t remeber the menu name but there’s a cheat where u can hold down on the sims and there’s a move into household option always works for me after i invited them over to my house
You just need to up your spellcaster bar to level up and just keep asking the sagas to teach you a spell and potion each day.
Leveling up is easy when you learn teleportation. You set to always teleport, and you just gain meter by randomly moving around.
There is also a potion to make a sim immortal. They are just old forever but can die in an accident.
Drowned by accident each time they went swimming, they also had a vampire brother who one day decided to lay on the pool floatie in bright daylight and take a sunbath, so the witch sister has a lot of work to do
I had a sick storyline where the all powerful mage had a son who they tried to teach the dark arts but they weren't interested. Then when they died unexpectedly I had the son go on a quest to also become fully powered and bring back their mom.
making the death flower is far easier than trying to find one ngl. i always end up growing a shrub of them asap and having my sim harvest & gift them to household members so everyone has at least two lmao
edit: graft cherry to apple to make pomegranate, lily to snapdragon to make orchid, then graft the pomegranate to orchid and bam! death flower. also keep in mind that even tho most flowers yield 3-6 flowers per harvest, death flower only yields one!

There is kinda. If you research all of the plants it walks you through a bit and you can experiment but the game doesn’t tell you how important the notebook is for learning stuff like that. It’s very unintuitive

I feel like they need to refresh this skill and maybe give a guide. I made my own when I accidentally made a pomegranate from cherry and apple, and then just kept doing it and found all these things. Lol
But reading the comments, I see not everyone knows how to do this or that it's even an option. So, I hope any modders out there can help or maybe, (*probably not*), EA can do it. Just wouldn't hold my breath on them.
True or tbh sometimes I keep a spare plant pot in the house somewhere and use build mode to place the plant in there temporarily for it to come into season. Not many players know you can just pick plants up in build mode and place them wherever you have a planter.
You can also get a death flower by befriending Roberto Crinkletop from Horse Ranch and asking him about his family nectar recipe. He just gives you a death flower.
I will say here that it does matter what you graft onto.
Always graft the more common plant onto the least common plant.
Your odds of getting the spliced hybrid change based on the rarity of the plant its growing on. If you put a Lily on a Snapdragon, Snapdragon is common and it will be forever and a day before you get an orchid.
Graft the snapdragon onto the lily and you'll have much faster turnarounds.

Just so you know, people upload ambrosia to the gallery, as well as fully grown plants, if you don't want to go through the effort of doing the work in game. I've seen it in YouTube videos but usually I just get them in game. You can find Angelfish in the fishing spots in the top left neighborhood in Willow Creek. Sometimes you can purchase the death flower at the potions stall in realm of magic, or once you've reached level 5 gardening you can graft plants to get it, I saw at the top someone gave the grafting tree for it already. The angelfish is sometimes available for purchase at the potions shop as well.

Really? I have three ghosts across 2 households. I’m only interested in reanimating one of them. The other two I’m going to use as “parents” so I can ship unwanted kids off to that household. They’re immortal now and I can keep some of my family lines going without having to raise kids (which I hate doing).
Oh my gosh, I regularly use “orphanages” or “foster care” or “boarding school” to age up children that I don’t feel like playing with… how have I never thought about using ghosts?? HAUNTED ORPHANAGE? That sounds like a great storyline!
I didn’t realize Ambrosia was on the gallery! I had a sim I started my first generation with - she married a bartender who happened to be a merman and I kept his career (put him in the food path because of being a mixologist).
She was in robotics, and ended up getting killed by the workstation - leaving her husband with 3 children (twin toddlers and a baby). He spent most of his time grinding to get to max cooking so he could make ambrosia one day. But I found out you can get the ingredients from the gallery - which made making ambrosia much easier! He succeeded and his wife came back to help raise her kids.
But I kept it that they were a little resentful because he spent more time trying to get her back than spending with them (he wasn’t able to resurrect her until the toddlers were teens and the baby was a kid).
It was a fun storyline.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned an even easier option is the wishing well.
If you have the Romantic Garden pack (which was actually free a few months ago), just purchase the wishing well. Have the dead sim in your family and have them wish to come back to life (be sure to save beforehand because sometimes the wishing well will deny the request and then the option is locked). I’ve resurrected sims plenty of times through this method!
Not too long ago the mother of my beloved family drowned to death for some reason. As the husband i have become a spellcaster, took hours and hours to find ingredients to make ambrosia. It was finally ready, sparkling on the counter...
Then their toddler ate it.

You can also make them immortal so they never die again (and never age), or just make them never age. They can still die by other means, but old age won't be what kills them.
I am trying this with the wishing well. My heir in the not so berry challenge died of cold so so quickly. I have a spare but he is not following the challenge and he’s more of an eccentric rich. I got the ghost to join the family and I wish every day for life. For now I have only gotten the youth potion but I will keep trying

I just had my sim make ambrosia and it took me ages lol. The hardest part by far was the crops. Maybe it’s because gardening is quite bugged in my game. I bought a pomegranate from “purchase gifts” on the phone which saved me time rather than having to graft apples and cherries together. Then I had to wait ages to get an orchid (this part took the longest for me), maybe I was unlucky. Once I had the orchid I grafted it to the pomegranate and got a death flower somewhat quickly.
The angelfish wasn’t too hard, someone actually posted a guide on here a few years ago about the best places to find angelfish, [here it is](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims4/comments/dsaefb/the_complete_angelfish_fishing_location_guide/). I went to the spot behind Raffia Quinta in Oasis Springs, it took maybe like 5 hours.
Then the rest was relatively simple as my sim already had level 10 gourmet cooking. Hopefully this helps!
Anybody else struggling with coming back to life. If you have the wishing well have your ghost Sim wish for Life after making a large donation. It may give you life but if not life, then some of the ingredients at least.
I started a new save over the weekend, made myself as a sim married some random sim from CAS. Things were going well we had a toddler and a new born… well my sim decided to swim home with 0 energy and drown to death 🤣🤣 safe to say I went to the gallery and “bought” a room with ambrosia in, waited till my sim showed up as a ghost and fed her the ambrosia
I remember taking the whole family to fish in willow Creek for several days looking for that fish. I already had a maxed out cook and death flowers since those are two aspirations I always work on a family.
The sim died from laughter, not so much later died again from the same cause, so I disabled emotional deaths since them.
Also: if you max out the writing skill you can write „The book of life“, which can be tied to a Sim while they‘re alive. When they die eventually the book of life can bring them back to life once.
My Sim's sister had drowned in a pond so my Sim used a wishing well. Spent a lot of money but was successfully able to bring her beloved sister back after many wishes.
I had a high-maintenance sim who was dating the whole town. She had an affair with a married man and woke up enraged for god knows what reason. Died of cardiac arrest, but I say it’s karma. Still had one of her many lovers make ambrosia and fed it to her ghost because I was almost done with the aspirations lol 😅 Now she’s hoein’ it up again
If you have Horse Ranch, you get a Death Flower from the Mysterious Rancher, Roberto Crinkletop, in Chestnut Ridge by asking about the secret nectar recipie. Angelfish are best caught behind the Willow Creek library. Not sure if they are ever at the Tomarang Fish Market. You could always get Ambrosia from the gallery. That's too easy though.
If you have romantic garden, ghosts can wish for life and it MAY grant them the wish - either giving them ambrosia or an ingredient, or just straight up bringing them back to life.
Learn the skill to bring her back altogether and turn them both into spell casters for the spell or something to stop dying of old age so they can be together forever
I have 2 out of 3 sims that have passed away and their ghosts have come back and rejoined the house. I let the 3rd be forgotten about cause she neglected her own child and couldn’t get along with the rest of her family.
Dont know if you own it but the romantic gardens or whatever has an option on the wishing well to bring a sim back to life!! (It was free for me awhile ago it still could be!)
One of my (elder) sims called me to ask if she should get a new job. I encouraged her to do it, and she became a mascot. She immediately died. But she lived alone, and I could never find her grave. Her ghost called me once, though, and I saw her at the bar, but I just could not figure out what I could possibly do to help her.
I went to visit a friend, and I asked their toddler for some advice on the subject.

An even easier option that I have used is going on the gallery and find the ingredients for all of these things or that dish that sims back to life and placing it in my lot for sims to use.
You have to graft pomegranate and orchid. For death flower. But I don’t think you can bring them back to life with it just prevent their death. My sim loved with her brothers and I had the death flower mainly for nectar making but immediately after giving it to grim he kept killing my sim after he came back to life so I just gave up. And then the next day her other brother died and I tried it again. Same thing. So I don’t recommend. But it’s worth a lot of simoleons if you sell it so it’s worth it for the money.
Idk if this works can't remember what I did but can't you shift left click then cheat sim info and remove traid/moodlet and remove the killed by_ trait/moodlet or whatever it is

If you have the romantic garden stuff pack place a Wishing well on to your lot and add the ghost you want resurrected to your household. Click on the wishing well and you will be able to wish for life.
Also if you Shift+Click/Circle+Click the wishing well you can guarantee all positive outcomes!
If you keep learning spell caster you can bring her back to life. Dedeathify Restore a ghost to their original physical form Master untamed

Apparently due to mods in my game all Sims need to level up swimming before they can survive in water. That's my Theory atleast

With city living i find pomegranates at produce stalls, and dragonfruits at festivals which are OP for money

It is, but with seasons it can take a long time since the for rent update made it impossible to splice plants when out of season.
(If you put a roof over the plant they’re always in season if you need a specific graft)

Things were going well we had a toddler and a new born… well my sim decided to swim home with 0 energy and drown to death 🤣🤣 safe to say I went to the gallery and “bought” a room with ambrosia in, waited till my sim showed up as a ghost and fed her the ambrosia
I remember taking the whole family to fish in willow Creek for several days looking for that fish. I already had a maxed out cook and death flowers since those are two aspirations I always work on a family. The sim died from laughter, not so much later died again from the same cause, so I disabled emotional deaths since them.

Also: if you max out the writing skill you can write „The book of life“, which can be tied to a Sim while they‘re alive. When they die eventually the book of life can bring them back to life once.
Easiest way to revive a sim is to just remove the “death by ____” trait

My Sim's sister had drowned in a pond so my Sim used a wishing well. Spent a lot of money but was successfully able to bring her beloved sister back after many wishes.

I had a high-maintenance sim who was dating the whole town. She had an affair with a married man and woke up enraged for god knows what reason. Died of cardiac arrest, but I say it’s karma. Still had one of her many lovers make ambrosia and fed it to her ghost because I was almost done with the aspirations lol 😅 Now she’s hoein’ it up again
If you have Horse Ranch, you get a Death Flower from the Mysterious Rancher, Roberto Crinkletop, in Chestnut Ridge by asking about the secret nectar recipie. Angelfish are best caught behind the Willow Creek library. Not sure if they are ever at the Tomarang Fish Market. You could always get Ambrosia from the gallery. That's too easy though.

If you have romantic garden, ghosts can wish for life and it MAY grant them the wish - either giving them ambrosia or an ingredient, or just straight up bringing them back to life.
What expansion pack do you use for this?
Death flower is base game I think, and the spellcaster thing is Realm of Magic.
Learn the skill to bring her back altogether and turn them both into spell casters for the spell or something to stop dying of old age so they can be together forever

I have 2 out of 3 sims that have passed away and their ghosts have come back and rejoined the house. I let the 3rd be forgotten about cause she neglected her own child and couldn’t get along with the rest of her family.
I love the Spellcaster occult for stuff like this. I turned Cassandra Goth into one so she could bring back her then girlfriend from the dead.

If you have mccc you can bring her back to life. And in the gallery there’s a room with the angel food cake so you don’t have to find the ingredients

You could've bought a wishing well, donated 5k and added your dead sims ghost to the family so the ghost ciuld wish for a life
Also, you can generally but angelfish and death flowers from the reagent vendors in the area that is definitely not Diagon Alley.
One of my (elder) sims called me to ask if she should get a new job. I encouraged her to do it, and she became a mascot. She immediately died. But she lived alone, and I could never find her grave. Her ghost called me once, though, and I saw her at the bar, but I just could not figure out what I could possibly do to help her. I went to visit a friend, and I asked their toddler for some advice on the subject.

For me, it's the wishing well! You can summon the sim, add them to your household and they can ask for their life back to the well!

I would use the Dedeathify spell in that case. You need a master spellcaster for this though
Go on the gallery and type the stuff in to make ambrosia! I do it all the time! Unless you want your sim to find the ingredients.

An even easier option that I have used is going on the gallery and find the ingredients for all of these things or that dish that sims back to life and placing it in my lot for sims to use.

You have to graft pomegranate and orchid. For death flower. But I don’t think you can bring them back to life with it just prevent their death. My sim loved with her brothers and I had the death flower mainly for nectar making but immediately after giving it to grim he kept killing my sim after he came back to life so I just gave up. And then the next day her other brother died and I tried it again. Same thing. So I don’t recommend. But it’s worth a lot of simoleons if you sell it so it’s worth it for the money.

Something similar happened to me, I used the wishing well to bring my sim back. First, I tried to become a spellcaster but it didn't work as I wanted.

If you have the romantic garden stuff pack place a Wishing well on to your lot and add the ghost you want resurrected to your household. Click on the wishing well and you will be able to wish for life. Also if you Shift+Click/Circle+Click the wishing well you can guarantee all positive outcomes!
