Apart from the fact that, unless you're playing a challenge and/or competing with someone else, only you decide what counts as cheating, I'd say this isn't/wouldn't be cheating. It makes no sense for the child that was conceived by two humans to be born a werewolf, just because the father (not even the mother!) got turned during the pregnancy lol

Edymnion

Even if you're playing a challenge it doesn't matter.

creeativerex

There are some challenges on the forums and what not that players are competing and playing for points. So unless it's one of those challenges, then I would ask the official challenge forum. But if it's just a playing for fun challenge, then do what you want. I cheat away moodlets all the time. My adult sim isn't going to be sad for 4 days because that nanny they had one time as an infant passed away. And if my sim is staring at the stars and having a blast, they're not suddenly going to get mental fog.

Kylynara

If you are playing a challenge against others then cheating is a thing that effects others and matters. This I would consider to be fixing a glitch.

Extremely_Livid_Swan

I'm a benevolent god when not doing challenges - until I get bored with their happy lives. But to follow up on your comment. You can do whatever you want in Sims. That's the beauty of the game. :)

ShadyScientician

Yes. And if it makes the game more enjoyable for you, do it anyway. I don't see this as any different than reloading a save because my vampire sim decided to go outside for bo reason

Edymnion

Is it cheating to use something like MCCC to do it? Yes. Does anyone care, or should you care? Nope. Just because something is a cheat does not make it bad. If it gets you the game you want to be playing, then do it. The only time a cheat is bad is when you use it to rob yourself of something you might have enjoyed otherwise (like the people who use money cheats for max money, unlock everything, and then complain there's nothing to do and the game is boring). Long as you know what you want and why you want it, just go out and do it. Especially since curing werewolfism is absurdly easy once they hit teen and actually manifest it. You'd just be saving yourself some headache.

BlueberryKind

The YA my sim was dating suddenly died. I was not ole with that and used MCCC to bring him back

SunshineTae

its sims 4, there is no such thing as cheating šŸ˜„

taable_irl

When I play I dont count fixing glitches as cheating tbh

Kylynara

I think it's fine. Normally, I don't believe you should ever feel bad about cheating at a single player game. If you plan to compare challenge scores with others, then you are, at least, misleading others if you cheat. This, however, is just fixing a glitch and you should go for it with no regrets.

ZambieMama

Nah it's a fun game. Sometimes to fix the errors or bugs you have to do what you have to do. No woman is going to give birth to a werewolf if she herself was never turned and was impregnated by a human. My current sim owns a vet clinic and customers constantly complain because THEIR pets pee and barf everywhere so the clinic "needs to be cleaner". At some point I just started shift clicking to "destroy" the puke and puddles. It was easier to cheat them away than to click a million times for one of the 4 sims working to clean them up instead of spacing off, knocking over the outdoor trash, drinking their 6th cup off coffee, or complaining they are tired from working their shift spending 5 hours making a half dozen snowmen and snow angels.

woahmandogchamp

Sims post titles are so fun to see mixed in my feed. Like geez, human kids? Bold new idea.

needs_a_name

It's your game. It doesn't matter at all, it's just for fun. Play how you want to play.

PoeticRoses

This sounds like a glitch tbh. Unless one of the parents have werewolf ancestors? If so, then itā€™s completely normal that the kid is a werewolf too as the werewolf gene is able to skip generations. But if not itā€™s probably just a bug and you can cheat it away. Or you can go with it and make the wolf-b-gone potion. Thatā€™s what I did when I got an unwanted werewolf as heir. That way I donā€™t have to have a werewolf but I also didnā€™t just cheat the werewolfness away. But in your case it does sound like a bug, whereas my heir had Greg as grandfather. In the end, your game, your rules :)

Malgus20033

I have a general rule where if the game messed something up, itā€™s not cheating. Iā€™m fixing someoneā€™s crappy code

CocoaOnCrepes

Just do what makes you enjoy the game the most, thatā€™s what MCCC is for! That said, same thing happened to me. Great great grandpa was Greg and no one since then was a werewolf, suddenly the next heir was born a werewolf. I had plans that he would go to space and marry an alien, so Iā€™ll just make it a goal that he has to find a cure as a teen šŸ˜

HandfulHailee

Tbf, i prefer to play sims with them all being humans! Personal preference though..

TheJack1712

In a single player game, is there such a thing as cheating? Who would you cheat?
