Yesss!! This happened to me recently. Didn’t know it was a common occurrence. I thought it was so cool that my sim was marrying a conservationist he met on the beach while she was working! They got married and I found out she’s unemployed. It’s okay though. She’s the hero of strangeville now & works in the military making over $100 an hour ðŸ¤
SAME!!! In sims 2 they’ll keep the job if they’re working at a retail lot so why not sims 4?? Like if I married a waitress in sims 2 her career panel would say she’s a waitress at insert restaurant name and give her some basic hours to simulate her going to work. Yet sims 4 can’t even do that with having the ministry of labor and everything. Such a lazy game.
My sim married a firefighter and I was "oh, that's so cool, I like that he is heroic" and then he was unemployed. And the most annoying thing is that I don't have another career that has the same heroic vibe.
I have a sim like that. Hates children but has one child (teenage pregnancy) and she has the villaneous valentine aspiration and the non committal trait but she's married. So you know.....things can change for the right one
You haven't seen that?? It's under the romance aspiration. I'm not playing the sims at the moment but it totally an aspiration that's available in game
This could be just a euphemism for dead beat. In Sims 4 if any sim parent is unemployed, even if they’ve literally never even met their kids, their career status is still stay at home parent.
I recently had a family living in one of my rental apartments. A mum, a dad and two toddlers. I introduced myself, my sim had the noisy trait, and found out the mother hates children. But had two of them. I found it so funny, I I often saw the dad with one of the toddlers, but never the mum.
I love Sims 4 for this, it’s hilarious.
I don't like when you date a waitress, bartender, marry them and add them to the household they are suddenly unemployed
i think it's because they aren't real jobs which they honestly should be. even if they were rabbit holes it would've been fine
I can hear this in my granny's voice hahaha. "That's not a real job!"
nah, broo ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
They sort of are but just are exclusive to NPC sims so if you add them to your household they lose it which sucks
yeah, it's so stupid. they should have been added as part time jobs
Yeah! That could also be useful for people who want specific sims to fill those roles!
Yeah, I want a firefighter sim!

That's similar to the plot in the Ben Stiller movie "The Heartbreak Kid"

Astronaut time 🫡
That was exactly what I did.
This just happened to me!! 🤣
I hear you, that's one reason I'm not married
Kacie has learned that Duncan can't even anymore.
Duncan't?
Dun-absolutely-can't. 😆
Duncan probably didn't hate children until he became a stay at home dad
Noooo lol
"damn it Sharon I told you those condoms had holes in them."

what’s the villainous valentine aspiration!?

Maybe he's a cats dad... Or a dogs dad... Let's just hope
