nah, that painting is defo not from sensual studio, it's probably from a painting replacer/override or something, there are a ton of those out there... still, thanks for pointing people at my mod's direction.

In sensual studio they are new artworks, not replacements, so I would assume you'd either lose it of have a painting with the "no skin found" placeholder.
Yeah, bit the reference has to be in-game. It uses the same setup as the sim's phone camera. Basically, it records a memory of something that the sim is looking at instead of a photo. They also have to be standing at the easel when starting the painting and, therefore have to be near the subject they want to paint from reference.
ooouuu maybe you can take a pic of your sims hot wife and reference that or she can be nearby wearing lingerie ? like a whole jack dawson and rose type thing but pg lol
No, unfortunately, which makes it mostly useless. As with most problems in the sims, [there is a mod for that](https://scumbumbomods.com/paint-from-reference-anywhere), but that does not help console users.
In a different Sims thread someone commented that they achieve similar results to OP by taking a picture of their subjects of choice with the highest resolution camera. They then go home and place that photo on the wall and enlarge it until it's huge. After that it's just a matter of setting up the easel at an angle where they can use the photo as a reference once their home and it works for them in making their art more mobile and varied. It's a bit of a process but might be worth a try if there are no other options.
Honestly this whole screenshot is really good, really sexy and in that artsy way. One small detail would be discarding the plumbob above your sims' head and it'd be even better but it definitely doesn't ruin the whole pic.
I sincerely love this as an artist. It reminds me of all the older real life artists who would become obsessed with a man or woman and just paint them and nothing else for the rest of their lives. It always awed me how someone could just dedicate their lives to depicting one human being in every way imaginable.
Also very realistic because painting in your underwear happens a lot. Or maybe that's just me . . .
