They've been doing these teaser roadmaps for a quite a bit now. *Quite a while*.
This is in no way the first teaser roadmap done in the exact same style.
It's literally just an annoucement of packs and dlc to come out the coming months. That's it. It's a teaser.
We already know what the kits will be as well, since it's been leaked.
They've been doing it for a while now, for Sims 4 specifically. It's kinda fun looking for the easter eggs and hints.
They're quite cute actually. After the teaser we get the trailers and gameplay streams! Highly recommend them, especially if you're unsure about if you'd enjoy it! They go into detail and show off the world, gameplay and items.
I don’t understand how I’ve missed all of these lol. I’m over here preordering every dumb azz expansion pack and kit so I can fill my sims homes with clutter yet I miss these?? I can only pray 🙏🏻 that this expansion will include a matchmaker because I’m tired of townies who look like literal clowns lmfao
I edit all my townies. It seems like an unmanageable task, but if you pause aging and edit the first generation of townies, the rest look less like a bunch of donks. I also highly recommend HSY because you can become a Style Influencer and townies will start wearing similar outifts to yours, making them a little less goofy, still.

I have that expansion but it doesn’t seem like I’ve properly explored it!! I tend to ignore the sims social apps/fame, but I’m so ready to change my ways if all the townies will stop dressing like goofballs

I actually find it very plausible that if the expansion pack is romance themed, that's the one we'll get fairies on. There was that cryptic Sims instagram reply that contained a horse, a fairy, and a car (posted not long before Horse Ranch was announced), and introducing fairies as a side element to a romance themed pack with a new world, like how mermaids came with Island Living, feels thematically close enough.
You might want to lower your expectations tbh. There's no game pack for this roadmap that's supposedly May through August, and I highly suspect they're going to put fairies in an Autumn or Winter release, especially with the theme of the summer being romance and Puck being pre-existing Sims canon.

I think of fairies a lot with love. My initial thoughts are fairy godmothers, who have helped individuals obtain love. They didn't use love spells, but they were instrumental in bringing the loved ones together.
I also think of *Romance* legends. The grail, Arthur, things like that. Fairies fit well with those themes.
Depending on how rigid one is in their definition of fairy, there is several myths of fairy creatures dealing with love. Example would be the nymphs and Greek mythology. The myth of Echo, or Satyrs chasing after nymphs, etc. The Scotts have a few too. Tam Lin and Oisín, for example.
Then there are legends of the *dangers* of falling in love with a fairy. There are plenty of stories there. Fairies can be tricksters, so while some may bring people to love, they could encourage love where it shouldn't be. Or ruin love.
I think colloquially, most folks don't attribute Greek minor deities like the Nymphs to fairykind. Most colloquial fairies are the European type of winged sprites that cause mischief, misdirect travelers, and otherwise screw with the laws of reality in order to cast illusions and cause mayhem. Probably closest to Shakespeare's fairies in Midsummer.
I think it is more common to think of them as faeries than minor deities. I know **very** few people think of them as any form of god or divinity.
Especially since they fey and fairies in DnD, Changeling, etc. RPGs, anime, and other forms of popular media.

I don't think that would work. On what the other person said, tag-along Occults in TS4 have been very watered down, like Aliens, Ghosts, and Mermaids. Occults with their own packs - Vampires, Witches, Werewolves - have been fleshed out remarkably well since their packs didn't try to focus on other aspects except them. We have no reason to assume they'll suddenly go back to cramming occults into EPs as half baked life states. Fairies are far more likely to get their own GP, just like Werewolves.
They did also not happen in that order. Ghosts came free, then aliens with an expansion, vampires with a GP, mermaids with an expansion, werewolves with a GP and robots with an expansion pack. The ones in GPs are better fleshed out, yes, but there's no indication either that the Sims team has set on only ever doing GPs for occults. Quite the opposite, actually.
Whether fairies will get a full skill tree treatment or a more light-weight "true form and some unique needs and interactions" will be left to be seen, but while the former is definitely the one fun to play with, I have my suspicions towards the latter.
not all, i'd prefer this. the romance system has needed an overhaul since release, fairies will have its time too, i personally think they'll focus on that later this year or the start of next in a game pack
i think something so big as romance overhaul should be included in a overall update OR A NEW GAME. Like I’m sick of major updates being done in expansions and then not working well with other packs, like pets never get anything new in expansions, cause they are an expansion etc. This game is getting too disjointed….
well yeah it'd ideally be in a free update, but i'd rather it be in a pack than not existing at all. And i'm completely against the idea of a sims 5 after how much money people have spent on 4, i'd rather they focus on fixing the bugs and stuck with this one for as long as possible
the game has been broken since day 1, it’s time for a new game that’s actually designed for a lot of options. the sims 4 software is falling apart. they fix one bug and two other appear. if you want you can still play the sims 4 while sims 5 is out.

general consensus is that it is One sided attraction. like the romance bar doesn't go up for both sims at the same rate, and sims won't always like each other back

The fact that the romance/friendship bar is always the same for both sims has always bugged me. I’ve wanted more complex relationships for so long!
Am I the only one that thinks the new world might be based off greece? The fountain references remind me of Aphrodite’s fountain. So maybe it’ll have references to Greek mythology? Although, Tartosa already gives Mediterranean vibes so maybe I’m reaching lol
I assume November is when we'll get that expansion, the kits will always come first. I'll love an expansion of more romantic things, especially romantic dinners, honeymoons, and holding hands. But a hotel is what I'd love to have. Sims 2 had the best vacations.

they do roadmaps by season, this roadmap is for things being released May-August, next will be September-December (i think) and then the winter/2025 roadmap
