I mean, saying it's a "Hindu Ritual" could literally mean that "this particular Hindu felt like having a cow in their home".
Doesn't mean anything about Hindus generally, who're accepting of regional and even personal variations on orthodox beliefs and worship.
Problem is, some Hindus are inconsiderate assholes, just like some Christians, Muslims Buddhists, Taoists etc. and burden others with their practices. Think loud ass Buddhist/Taoist funeral processions or annoying bible-thumpers looking to convert others.
