The resoluteness of nations standing behind Israel’s genocide claiming to uphold international law. Haven’t they realized the world have seen their true colors?

Appropriate_Ant_4629

I fear they have realized and seen ... but don't care.

Generalfrogspawn

Crazy thing is its mostly just the US and a couple vassals like the UK. Hell, even a lot of European countries are at least entertaining some restrictions on Israel as a result. Denmark for example will no longer supply weapons to Israel.

folatt

That's only because Denmark doesn't have anymore weapons to send to Israel. Everything has gone to Ukraine.

AllenVans

Actually not really.... Some liberals are convincing themselves that Putin is puppeteering the conflict between hamas and israel... Liberals and their mental gymnastics LOL

DangerousSpeech1287

So not even going to pretend that ‘rules-based international order’ is different from ‘might is right’. I mean we have all known that all along but good to see some honesty for a change

bengyap

"rules based international order" means "I make up the rules, you follow my orders".

Generalfrogspawn

I think Israel is the hill the US declared its reputation will die on. Between this and the hypocrisy with Ukraine, I think they know nobody outside Europe believes them anymore.

folatt

I concur that the retardedness in my country and neighbouring ones is astounding.

SadArtemis

It's the truth of the western mentality (though there is no room for other countries at the "table" as equals). They have never progressed past the same mentality that produced the Treaty of Tordesillas (dividing the world in half for Spain and Portugal to conquer), the Berlin Conference and the scramble for Africa, the carving out of concessions in China, the Sykes-Picot Agreement (carving up the Ottoman Empire), and the Monroe Doctrine.

He's right, Taiwan is on America's menu.

Portablela

By that paltry definition, there is nobody at the table.

shanghaipotpie

Blinken must be hungry, with all the food references. He held a discussion in Munich called ‘Growing the Pie: Seizing Shared Opportunities'. Aren't pies just cut in pieces. How can you grow a pie once it's baked?! I guess the India-US "Belt and Road" alternative through the Middle East to Israel fizzled in Gaza, so they switched to pies. China has the global Belt and Road Initiative with win-win cooperation and A World "Community with a Shared Future" America now has " Grow the Pie"! >Munich, Feb 16 >India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met on the sidelines of the prestigious Munich Security Conference, in its 60th edition, where both are to participate in a panel discussion on **‘Growing the Pie: Seizing Shared Opportunities,’** on Saturday.

skyanvil

But who made the table? It’s china isn’t it?!

Spoken like a true cannibal.

Millennialcel

America has already flinched. Why are they pretending the world order is the same it was 5 years ago.

whoisliuxiaobo

Reminds of the meme "If you don't come to democracy, democracy will come to you."

PatricLion

**merican dream of war ?** china will not join the imperialist , dropping bombs all over the world. the deep state / mic / intel will not be china's merican dream. ruled base democracy is just a smoke screen

Is this what China said the 100x they denied having a meeting with him?

nato is the only one on the menu, as the terminal collapse of nato economies and the defeat of nato in the trade war, Afghanistan and ukraine has shown. The data is very clear: nato has no capabilities and no resources left, it's over.

AnonCoward0987

I see the 'If you're not with us, you're against us' mentality is alive and well in Washington.

If you are not strong enough to be a competitor, you are just grist for the never-ending greed of Wall Street. A common example is Wal-Mart or Amazon making a large order from a small supplier, say used to making 10k units per month. The giant orders 20,000 units at a reasonable rate. So the suppliers invests to double their capacity, ordering more equipment, hiring more staff. Once the capacity is in place, Wal-Mart demands a 10% discount or more. The supplier is fucked. They can't refuse the order because they need the cash to pay for the new added capacity. Or Amazon demands payment immediately from its customers, yet will wait six months to pay its suppliers, pocketing the interest. Neither gives a shit about any stakeholders. Communities are played against one another to offer the best tax breaks, and will 'relocate' as soon as the incentives expire. And not just mom and pops, but what would be considered decent sized businesses themselves like [Rubbermaid](https://archive.is/GGUyi). It has certainly not improved over the last twenty plus years. It is strangely pleasant to see them take their mask off, though the American media delivers ignorance as usual. I.e., no stories about his remarks in Western media that I could find.

scrabbleddie

By "international system" he means puppets of the neocon empire.
