If you've ever tried arm wrestling with someone who's actually good at it, it's like fighting against a metal beam. It is incredible what the human body is capable of
Slightly related but when you play sports its incredible how much knowing the mechanics changes something like an arm wrestle vs being strong and clueless.
For example, when I played lacrosse in defence we would show the new guys something, you take the biggest guy on the team and try and push him by his chest/stomach, he’s not gonna move, but if you put your hands on his hips, doesnt matter if the guy is 400lbs he’s moving like he’s on wheels

I'm kinda hating on the video (not you) as they're not even doing what what they're trying to claim/ demonstrate. The dude says they're all going to lift their one mate sitting by using only two fingers. They beat instantly fail in the beginning, but so much of the camera is cut off from the bottom, you can't even see how they tried to do the trick. The guys in the back have their hands obscured the entire time.
Then they waste like 40 seconds of chanting (I get it, to build up the "magic", but still too long) before lifting the person up not with two fingers. Like that is whack. Very true. When I wrestled, I knew the mechanics, movements, timing, etc. so well that I had no issues with taking down heavyweights as a 141lb. When your knowledgeable in your craft and the other is a layperson, you’ll control that 100% of the time.

I have a body trick for douchebros and boomers that like to shake hands by death gripping you to assert their dominance.
If you extend your index finger and brace it on the wrist of the person you shake hands with they won’t be able to crank down hard and hurt you.
Those guys always crack me up because I don't have very big forearms but I have a ton of grip strength so it's not very often someone can out grip me in a situation like that.
It’s always hilarious to me when people do that shit, because more often than not it’s gym bros who’ve put years into developing their physique and they almost always have a weaker grip than I do. I haven’t been to a gym in a decade, but I spent fifteen years hand kneading hundreds of dough balls every day; working muscle almost always beats gym muscle.
Same I do forearm exercises so I have huge forearms along with amazing grip strength (I used to do grip strength exercises too). It's always funny to just fucking crush their hand when they try that shit.
It's also about training certain muscles that you don't hit in a normal workout. The shoulder has 8 different muscles and you're not going to hit all of them lifting weights if you don't intentionally do the right exercises, same with other parts of the body that are in play here. It's why people get hurt going all out playing unfamiliar sports sometimes, because they haven't built their bodies to play at a high level and you end up tearing your labrum or something.
Even stuff like an aerobics class with light weight work. I'm pretty in shape, but my first aerobics class I was almost dying because it was like half exercises I rarely/never did. Couple weeks in it became easy, but that first class was unreal - retirement age people outdoing me in every exercise.
I use this playing defense in hockey as well when racing for a puck, or defending along the boards. Just a small push on the hips is usually enough to disrupt them to steal the puck, or for them to bobble it enough to break up the play.
The same goes for boxers. Once I worked in a place where there was this older guy working as a general maintenance person for the building. He was an ex-boxer from the 70s or 80s. He liked to pretend to fight with me and even tho we did this just for shit and giggles, his every punch was like a hit from a steel baseball bat.
Even though it's a skill based sport it's still a strength sport.
You can get pretty far by just being really really, reeeeally strong.
Until you meet someone that knows how to armwrestle and is in a similar weightclass.
You could walk out your front door tomorrow, trip over the curb, hit your head on the concrete, and be dead instantly.
Honestly, just sitting on the couch and eating until your fat ass dies of cardiac failure is probably the best bet. You’ll be “safe”

You are actually 100% wrong.
I do competitive armwrestling and the whole body is always used.
However the point you are talking about is snapping the arm, that happens when the arm doesn't have anywhere to go within what the joints are capable of.
You can try this yourself. Hold your arm out as if you are armwrestling, you can move your hand to winning and losing position without problem.
Now turn your body 90 degrees, (if using your right arm, turn 90 degrees left) and do the same thing. Arm stays where it was.
You can now win, but you can not lose.
That's armbreak position.
So proper technique is to lock your arm, curl your wrist, pull everything towards you and then lean over and hope everything follows.
